i have had some issues in recovery where it says i have to do it via console. how do i achieve this?
I'm curious about this too. I ran into that error the other day while trying to do a nandroid restore from recovery. I finally had to reflash the recovery image.

Hey guys, im trying to do a nandroid restore from recovery and i keep getting the Error: run 'nandroid-mobile.sh restore' via console!
Did i misunderstand or something about the process? If i had a backup in sd/nandroid/"my model#" where i backed up an older restore at stock with MR. and I start "Nandroid v2.2 restore" it should simply restore it or am i missing something? BTW i have no other backups in that folder.
I had the same issue after I copied the backups to another sdcard. I was not able to get around the error. I just booted into recovery mode and then used the adb shell to run the backup command. No errors whatsoever when I use this method to restore.
Well does anyone else have the same problem or know what the issue/fix might be? Cause its really annoying if this restore feature won't work.
I discovered a little problem when using RA-1.8 Recovery's Nandroid Restore, I've been since it was released but few times when I wanted to do nandroid restore, it reported an error and let me manually do it using ADB, but unfortunately when I did it using ADB, it gave an error saying unable to mount SD card.
I did some search about this problem and there seems no answer.
Later I discovered, just fastboot flash recovery again, and nandroid restore will work fine.
Don't know what is cause of this problem...
if your battery is under 40% it would not let you nan restore
Sent from my Nexus One
I didn't notice that limitation..
Yesterday in morning my battery had 9% left and I did nandroid backup.
Then immediately tried nandroid restore, reported error.
Then I plugged usb cable in, fastboot flash recovery and then unplug cable, nandroid restore completed successfully..
Ive tried clockwork recovery and twrp recovery. Backups are successful but when trying to restore after factory reset fails. Please help.
I used to backup/restore without any problems using CMW Recovery v6.0.3.2. I had to retry flashing the last Omega Rom a few times because it wouldn't boot, but at last it worked after the factory wipe. Now I can't restore previous backups as it says simply "Error while flashing boot image!". I know I cans till recover the system+data, but I'd like to be able to restore boot as well.
What can I do to fix this? Is it a wrong/corrupt partition table?
Thanks
Hi,
I have TWRP backup from which i can easily restore System and Boot but Data fails to restore.
I have tried Titanium Backup, nandroid manager as well, still nothing. I am on twrp 2.6.3.3 recovery and it says failed, doesnt show any error on the terminal.
I made the backup using 2.6.3.0 multiboot recovery.
Please help, i have some very important apps and data on there :crying:
