According to Google; Android 2.5 was suppose to include the Portable App Engine
"Using the new Portable App Engine, Android will now be able to run Palm Pre and iPhone applications using a virtual machine.
While the Pre only has about 2,000 applications, Apple’s iPhone is currently the industry leader with 150,000+. iPhone’s best games are very desirable to non-iPhone owners, for example, as they generally offer superior graphics and level of gameplay, that is, until Froyo comes out.
Portable App Engine is a "20%" project started by 2 Google engineers – Joseph Smarr and Ikai Lan – and got its name from Google’s flagship App Engine."
Has anyone checked to see if the Portable App Engine is part of Android 3.0 on your Xoom?

I found this at www.sammobile.com!

Oh my god, its BEAUTIFUL! Just look at that design .. ! Imagine that beauty with the next exynos processor, a HD resolution, 1.5 Gig of ram and who know what else..
What do you think?
Sammobile's thread says this:
"The picture above could be true for several reasons: Weber Shandwick is one (or even the) largest PR agency in the world, including here in Germany, Weber Shandwick operates in several sectors, along with Samsung. (This is also very good, I made the best possible experience with those so far). The picture could also originate from an internal document at Weber Shandwick, which to hold a Unpacked event on intended to holdon May 22nd!
So what can we see if we take a clo.es look at this picture. To start with the bezel it is really really small!
We see a shutter-button for the camera FINALLY.
Besides, the design fits the Galaxy S3. Loudspeaker front, above and below the display- a perfect match to the current design line from Samsung. Look at the Galaxy S WiFi4.2 or 1.10 of the Galaxy note, both are the display next to the speakers!
If true, the picture above, it also directly teaser unpacked a Samsung event for 22 May in London - in my opinion, very likely. On 22 May announce where a few weeks later, the Olympic Games will begin to quickly put on the market on time and to have the Olympic Games 2012 Samsung Galaxy S3 in the shops. In my view, could vote at Reddit surfaced image that is so loose - I hope even on it. Then you would have a date and place, I can plunder my account for the plane and the speculation goes in another direction!
May 22nd is the approximate date that the London Olympic Torch Relay starts – of which Samsung are a major sponsor – so this date and event in London make total sense.

Update 11:05
Eldar Murtazin (Russian tech blogger) SGS3 is different but thats one is closest to final design
What do you think of its design leave a comment below.

There's already a dedicated thread for SIII discussion. No need to start a new one when the picture was already posted in there...

Soooo ICS is not coming to our Xplays because oooof ... ?
Back in 2011 I didn't own a X10 but I'm pretty sure the main actors in that case were "Gingerbread" and "Sony-Ericsson"
In our case, the problem is a triforce of 3 actors : "ICS" , "Sony" and "The game developers"
...............Game Developers
......................../......\
...................A /.........\ B
...................../............\
...............ICS __ __ __ Sony
...........................C
So what's the faulty relation ? A , B or C ?
actually the answer is more complicated !
The 3 relations taken alone are not a problem :
A : Game Developers are making compatible games for ICS
B : Game Developers DID make compatible games for the Xperia Play
C : The Xperia Play is ICS-capable
The problem can be a compilation of A+C or B+C :
A+C = Game Developers can't make a compatible game with the ICS we are running in our device
B+C = Game Developers can't make a compatible game for our device running the actual ICS
In those both cases the main problems are :
out-of-memory while playing
no compatible physical controllers
it seams that managing ICS while playing a game using Dpad is too much for our processor/ram
In my humble opinion I prefer a working OS with working games and Dpad.
And for the Xperia Play 2/HD waiters : Sony will not sell a smartphone that shadows its own portable gaming products.
Vision :
In the (near) future smartphones will become more powerful than those portable gaming devices, Sony will revise its marketing strategy and propose the best gaming smartphone out there !
to the holly 4 buttons !
If they ever did decide to make a play2 it should be blended with their Vita stuff so they can be used with each other. That would be about the only way I would go out and buy another one of these phones, without it its just not worth it

Hi all on XDA
I have always liked to make digital pictures in Photoshop and so on. So I just wanted to say that if you want some icons or pictures for your ROM I will gladly help. I'm not a real pro but I can make real good stuff sometimes the only problem I have is that until the 16th of August I've not so much time. After that I think I've time, so if you want just PM me

As a graphic designer myself, may I put in some advice? Get a portfolio of your work going. If you don't have anything/want to try something new, start working on some projects for major ROMs, even if they won't be used. It allows people to see how you envision the brand and identity of that particular piece, and it showcases your talents and technique (obviously).
Perhaps start with the biggest, CyanogenMod? With codeworkx releasing the experimental build of CyanogenMod 10 for the Galaxy S II less than 24 hours ago, it's a great opportunity to start!

Nextbit Baton offers several benefits to users, including:
Sync: Keeps apps and data in sync across multiple devices, allowing users to move fluidly from one device to the next without missing a beat.
Pass: Send any open app in its current state to another device, saving time and eliminating the tedious process of manually finding and opening apps on different devices.
Backup and restore: Save apps and data to your Nextbit profile in the cloud, so you can always get your apps back on any device.
Nextbit’s private beta is exclusively on CyanogenMod, the leading open-source, community-driven Android OS backed by Cyanogen Inc. The future public release of Nextbit will be available first on the commercially distributed Cyanogen operating system.
“Cyanogen continues to reimagine Android by introducing bold new firsts,” said Kirt McMaster, CEO of Cyanogen. “Nextbit represents one of these platform firsts that could only manifest on a truly open Android. We enable Baton to become a native OS level feature, creating huge benefit for our users.”
