Part from the major problem (sms not sending correctly) I have this other problem:
The first page of the Weather tab in sense stops updating, so the My Location page (1/x). When I try to update all the other locations are updating but not "my location" For the other locations (2/x till x/x) the update-interval seems to be working. What I´ve done now is that I have created a new location with my hometown and marked that for the first page but it shouldn´t have to be this way..
Anyone familiar with this?
I have the exact problem as you (not the sms). All the applications are updating correctly. Anyone has a soulution?
Any fix for the weather problem, my HD2 is suffering from it as well.

Writing here gave me an idea !
This is not updating cause the HTC localization service is disabled !!! If you re-enable it, it will update ;-)

Do you have HTC location service (settings tab - locations) switched on/ticked? If not, then My Location will not be updated.

i have the exact same situation. first it worked fine but since a few days its only updating once a day (yes im pushing the button to update, as this would be a hardware button it would look pretty used xD). so i actually deactivated and reactivated the local settings but still not working
Have the location services on and have always been on... but still no update since nov 20th on the my location weather. Not the most important maybe but kind of annoying.
Anyone figured it out yet?

I had the same problem. Location service worked fine, since my location appeared in Google Maps. No location update and no weather update in the weather tab.
After a soft reset it works fine again (for the time being).
Are you guys also experiencing the sms message problem? Because to me it seems somehow related to each other.
I use the temporary fix of Confusion to send sms messages and now the weather for "my location" also works fine (which didn't before)

Sms problem as well...
weather problem, no SMS problem. I believe its down to the network cell you're located in. out in the "sticks" my weather works fine (probably only on one "tower"). In town where there are separate O2 towers for GPRS / 3G / HSDPA it won't update. Just my theory .....

Mine ahs been working fine for 5 days now today it not working
last update 9am this morning and wont update...if i add a town near me that updates fine

My HD2 us also suffering from this problem...
All locations in weather update fine EXCEPT for my location. The wierd thing is that if i make a duplicate entry for where i live in weather that that one updates but the first entry (my location) doesnt.... The weather on the front page does not update.
Does anyone have a fix for this at all? Its only a small thing but its managing to bug me!!!
The only changes i have made are that i have removed the proxy server address (as i am on T mobile) and made the change to be able to view iPlayer.
It seems to me, it only works when I connect my phone through our wifi-network. Only then it seems to resolve it's location. Any other attempt to resolve the location fails. Why would this be?
Exactly the same problem, Im on T-Mobile, location has never worked for me, slightly annoying as google maps can pinpoint my location within 5 metres?
I'm having SMS issues too
On the weather, when I connect through wifi it sets my location as Hounslow but when I disconnect wifi it correctly sets my home location as Aberdeen.
Hey just writing to say I've had the same problem too.
I first turned the HD2 on without a sim in and used it simless for half a day until I got an unlock code and could use my 3 UK sim. As soon as this was put in, My Location stopped working and has not worked since (neither WiFi nor 3G). It worked prior to putting the new sim in over WiFi.
I also the sms problem (I think, haven't really sent/received many texts to know tbh).

love this site you guys rock. I just installed the Touch HD Manila (TF3D) on my x1 and it works great. I am having problems only when i receive text messages. The time index is 5 hour behind the actual time. My phone clock displays the right time also i have no problem when i send text messages. Only when i receive them it displays the time incorrectly.
i have to set my time zone to london +5 to fix this problem, weird. anyway can do it without setting my time zone to london? im in eastern canada by the way.
Hey. I am using an X1A on Fido here in Toronto and I have the same issue. All my received SMS are 5 hours behind. My X1A is stock - no changes to the ROM and I have yet to install any software (CAB files) onto the device. I also always have the Roaming icon showing on the top status bar of the device. Besides these two issues everything seems to work fine. Curious if you happened to find the cause of the problem and a solution that doesnt involve setting my location to somewhere in Europe.
Here's a fix: It's a common problem and it has to do with the provider, ATT/Rogers. Just apply the registry fix.

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this problem, but it seems to me my SMS/MMS manager is messed up. I had a SMS conversation with 2 contacts and they received all my messages at once, 3 times.. I also received several errors at once "message could not be delivered, stored as concept" (needed to press 10 times OK). I received a MMS but couldn't download it (mms worked perfect with my previous phone). I sent 3 MMS's, but only the first one was received. When I try to open "sent items" my manager "blocks" (and does weird things when I keep scrolling down), but I can go back to the other folders. Is it normal that every message I sent is stored in Outbox?
Another q, how can I display "time" in my topbar? I know it was possible with my P3600, but since HTC Home it's a bit difficult to find this (non-existing) option.

I don't have this problem with my Snap - I have an unlocked HTC-branded device (not obtained from a network provider), OS details as per my signature. You?
To get the clock to show in the Windows Mobile Standard icon bar you need ClockOnTop.exe - there's no facility to put the time and date there otherwise (as you could with Windows Mobile Professional).

So you can access "sent items" without a problem? And your outgoing messages, are they stored in "Outbox" or "Sent items"?
I did something wrong during the first setup of my device:
When asked for my internet connection, I pressed "cancel" since my internet provider wasn't listed. Therefore the setup of my device wasn't completed and that's why my message system was driving mad. Probably also the result of receiving a few messages before completion.
I performed a hard reset, chose a random provider and everything's working fine now!

Well I had the same problem and it was really screwed up, my settings were listed and applied. That night it sent my messages time after time to all the contacts I sent messages to previously. I thought there would be something wrong in the network but my operator ensured me the messages originated from my device at a +- 10 minute pace.
I contacted HTC support in the Netherlands, I was told to do a hard reset and it was fixed. I recommend hard resetting all new Snap devices upon first use to eliminate this problem. I also received a message from a fellow new-Snap-owner who had the same problem, so watch out with this as it will tear up your phone bill!
My Snap is unlocked HTC branded and everything else seems perfectly fine!

I'm having a problem with my Leo since the Winter time changed last month.
The phone didn't auto update the time and I had to change it manually, works fine till I update the weather application, when I do it changes back one hour... I manage to bypass that by ignoring "My Current Location" and use the city I'm in. Now I can update the weather and the hour stays good.
With all this I have two issues now, I cant use the "My Current Location" no more and when I receive a text message it's always one hour before mine...
I'm getting insane here, I don't mind much for the "My Current Location" thing cause I do not travel much but the message hour thing is killing me cause it messed up the message thread view...
I'm from Lisbon, Portugal.

I've got a few Problems with my DHD right now, first of all - the devide is from Superetrader, so it's an UK Device - i live in Germany, so Locations came with Maps for Italian/UK/... i just deleted those cause i dont need them right now, and downloaded the free Map for Germany and also the Voices, if i do now start Locations it will find my Location and shows me the German Map (but there isnt realy a Map), everything is monotone green, i just can see the Citynames - no matter how near or how far i zoom, there is no terrain, no streets,no locations ... just an empty Map. So for some reason, Locations doesnt take my german Map - it also doesnt show me any Locations in the Mainmenu.
I allready reinstalled Locations, and also again downloaded the german Map. I also used the "Sync Map License" Option within Locations - restarted the DHD (full reboot, not fast) but nothing works for me.
The next Issue are my MMS' , if someone sends me a MMS i just receive a SMS from my Provider (O² Germany) with a Link leading me to my MMS to view it from the Web. Providersettings are set correct (APN/IP/..) and i also checked "Auto receive" under MMS, but it still doesnt work for me.
Latest Issue, Textmessage Notification Sound:
Everything was working fine till yesterday, when i changed my Sound for incoming Textmessages. After changing it (changed to another default one) i dont get any Soundnotification anymore, it just vibrates. Soundprofile is set to normal, Volume of Notifications is set to maximum, under the Textmessage Default-app's options "Sound when receiving Notification" is also checked. I allready changed it back to the default Soundfile, but it still doesnt work.
I didnt changed much in these days or installed apps that may can cause these problems.
My Device is running with the latest official Update 1.32.405.6

Hi all,
I'm cannot update weather into the weather widget of HTC sense: I always get a connection error and I'm asked to retry or give up.... but even if I retry I alway got the same error.
What I realized is that:
- if I go into the weather widget -> menu -> add city: the city list is empty
- using the "weather database editor" application: the city list is empty
could it be that the city db gets corrupted (along with cities I were registered to)?? and that's the reason why I got the connection error?

Hi, I have same problem, i belive that url in database editor is not working anymore. Only my location is updating, any other location giving error "There was a connection problem while attempting to download weather data. Retry?".
If anyone know what to do, please reply. If i solve the problem, ill post it here.

I found this thread http://www.smartphoneforums.com/forums/htc-touch-pro/119372-weather-fix-found.html and yesterday I managed to solve this issue... even if I forgot to update the thread, sorry for that
I simply changed the key
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\Weather.ServerURLOverride to HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\Weather.ServerURLOverride_OLD and restarted the phone.
In that way weather tab will be using the original url for weather updates.
