Hello. Just want to ask someone, how can I stop automatic rotation of the screen contents while I slide out the hw.keyboard? Is it possible indeed? It doesn't matter which device,I never get a solution to stop it. Please don't ask me,why I want that, simply I just hate it and want to disable this "feature". Currently I am using Raphael.
Thanks in advance for any tips.
An app that can block auto-rotating & enable auto-rotate without slideouting the keyboard would be very very great.

Hi guys,
Ran a search for this but couldn't find the solution. I am able to type quicker with the vibration feature turned off, but I really like it when I am using the rest of the phone.
Is it possible to just turn the feedback off for the keyboard, but leave it active in Sense and everywhere else.
Max.

Use BSB Tweak is 1 option!
I'm not seeing this in BSB to JUST turn off the keyboard vibration?
May be you can try this which is provided by MIRI
forum can be found here
Good luck
Have any luck?
If it's for HD2, go to the settings tab, personalize, then vibration.

I was about to post this question when I saw this thread. I searched google and found other sites where the accepted solution was to use gestures instead of the slide. Or to use widget locker. Apparently there is no way to turn it off.
Does anyone know how to disable is by using root access to delete a driver or something?
I am using lock menu program, you can download it from the market. In its options you can disable vibrate on unlock
It's probably my #1 annoyance with the current android build. GIVE US THE OPTION TO TURN THAT SSSS OFF!
With that said, yea, you can either disable the slider and use gesture lock or widget locker. Personally, I dont want to install more crap just to get rid of the vibration, so I went ahead and use the built in gesture lock instead.
So I've searched through the threads and there doesn't really seem to be an answer for this other than to use something like widgetlocker, which I don't really want to do because I would like to still be able to use the music player controls from the lock screen. I'm just so annoyed by the haptic feedback every time I want to unlock the phone!
Does anyone know of any way to disable this?
btw Running Azure 1.0.1
Same here. But sometimes, if there is no answer in search means the problem can be solved easily... But I'm still finding the answer too
Go to: Menu - Settings - Security, then uncheck the "Use tactile feedback" option. Hope this is what you need.
@Rapier - yeah, I tried that but unfortunately all it does is disable all haptic feedback except for when unlocking the phone :S
Anyone have any ideas?
have been looking for this too a while ago and i have found this in the hero forums:

I haven't had the time back then to test it out myself so i don't know if it will work

Strange. For me it works exactly as it should. Is disabling the feedback only for the unlock pattern, on the other keyboards, dialer and so on, haptic feedback is still present.
Are you using stock or custom ROM? I recall you've said something about Azzure. Maybe this is the issue. I'm using stock ROM and have no problems disabling through the way I told you.

Ohhh ok yeah I guess that's the problem there. I'm running Azure 1.0.1 and unfortunately there does not seem to be any option on my ROM to disable the haptic feedback for the lockscreen as it uses the vanilla lockscreen, for which I believe there was no option to remove haptic feedback. But yes, I do recall being able to turn it off when I was running a stock ROM.
Well, that's a bummer, but thanks anyway!

Hey thanks! This looks like just what I need! I read through the thread and it doesn't seem like it's all too stable but I suppose it's worth giving a shot
Hello!
Is it possible to disable screen auto rotation on OMNIA 7?
Regards,
Ivo
I'd like to know this too... I suspect it will require some kind of homebrew app?
No it is not possible at the moment on any device.
Hallo, I want something to switch lockscreen on-off
or better to switch from slide (if I say it correct in english) to pattern/pin
I use smart cover, but even without that, it would be useful to enable/disable pattern lock with a button
so we don't have to go into menus and settings every time we need extra security
widgetsoid has a button for that but doesn't seem to work, even with admin enabled
Thank you
It doesn't work even if I move it as system app.
is it a priority issue? is there any other app to do similar thing?
for anyone interested I made it with Tasker.
however I was hoping for a cheaper and more battery friendly way
