Just trying to get a bit of advice on playing avi files. I've seen coreplayer mentioned a lot, Is it the only option?

hi folks.. i have an O2 XDA Orbit 2, and the video playback sucks. I know about the HTC video driver "issue", and i've tried numerous players nd formats, but still get lag or synch problems with playback. At the moment i use windows media and divx player, but i wondered if any of you clever people had discovered the best conversion settings? I use pocket dvd studi /pqdvd to convert divx movies for my pda, with limited success.
Any ideas, or o i just accept my fone aint powerful enough to play video and buy something else?
cheers
Dave
try coreplayer with qtv enabled. This has the best playback. Oh and it also depends on the video settings of the ROM.
You could also search for gfx boost in these forums, that might help.
Hello
I have a lot of flv files that I have downloaded from Youtube. Does anyone know if they can be played with the HD2? I read somewhere that it is not possible, but I hope they were wrong.
Core player
Ok, thanks. I will check it out.
I think CorePlayer handles .flv videos, although I wouldn't swear to it. I don't know if TCPMP does - it's worth checking. You might also be able to convert them into a format that the HD2 can handle. Previous post on the subject here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4940625&postcount=31
Hi,
Does anyone know what the best app is for playing Divx files on the HD2???
Cheers
coreplayer is what I use, pretty happy with it. Just wish you can set bookmarks in videos.
Is it ok...ive read some people fin the playback a bit dodgy???
Tcpmp 0.72rc1.
Cheers
Is it any good??
hey people,
just a quick question, what the deal with Divx player and avi files.
after a minute or so it starts to stutter (video and sound)
what you think stepping over on mp4 would be beter?
greetz gunz
oke figured it out my self.
changing to mp4 solved the stuttering
I have the same problem. Did you convert your .avi to .mp4, or just got new files already in .mp4? If you converted, mind telling how?
Did you use the AVS Converter? I just saw an add for that.
Use "mp4forhd" to convert
And than htc player to play
Hi all
I have been looking for a video player for my HTC HD2 that can play all type of video including flv and mkv. I have tried tried different version of TCPMP. But the version i have 0.81 crashes for all videos and 0.72_netDrg crashes if i play .flv. I know too many people have posted regrading this on XDA but have got fed up after trying at-least 10-15 solutions. Has anybody faced same. Is there any other free video player is available?
Thanks in advance,
A Newbie
Hi,
You can try QQplayer that supports many formats, or Rockplayer.
