Mapping network drive problem - HD2 General

Mapping network drive problem - I can't seem to map a drive using Resco Explorer 2008 or File Manager to Windows 7. Resco Explorer just crashes and file manager via VPN keeps on behaving like my credentials are incorrect but I have tried every combination I can think of and nothing works. Can anyone help? I have got RDP to work, but not Resco

Watching VCD on O2 XDA II using WiFi + Resco File Explorer?

Hi!
I would like to watch VCD on my O2 XDA II using Wi-Fi and drive mapping through Resco File Explorer.
Anyway I can do this like what this guy has done with his PPC:-
http://www.ppcsg.com/forums/viewtop...&start=0&sid=5e685040899f149fd5412307623e3503
I'm using Win XP Pro on my PC and upon exiting my firewall I was able to detect my PC on my O2
However, I was unable to get pass the stage where you have to key in your PC name and password because upon pressing the 'OK' button it always return to the Network Log On page
Any help? Thanks

is this normal with resco file explorer?

When i try to open a folder with the navipad center button i doesn't happen. I can only folders with the stylus which is very incomfortable because i cannot use the pocket effectively without the stylus. Thanks!
I'm not exactly clear on what's wrong... But what version of Resco FileExplorer are you using? As far as I know this is not regular behaviour... Does it work in FileExplorer that comes with the ROM?
yes with the standart file explorer i can use the center part of the joystick as enter but with the resco it is not possible. my version is 5.35

drive mapping on diamond

Hi
i know there is remote desktop on the diamond but how to i map a network drive in file explorer so i dont have to connect vis remote dest top to see the drive????????
There are a few ways of doing it. Total Commander is supposed to do it but I can't get it to work. HTC Network Plugin is working for me, using the build 30468 version posted in this thread.
Map drives using Settings>Connections>Network Plugin, then the mapped drives will appear on your device as folders within a folder called Network.

I use resco explorer for this...

How about you just install the software that comes with the phone (ActiveSync).... Works perfectly for me, and I can drag&drop.

I think he'd like to use his wifi
maybe he wanna use wireless
Resco works great over wifi, but it can be a little slow on first-connect.
its very easy to browse network files using total commander which is freeware.
open it go to \\plugins (or type \\\ in the addressbar) then select LAN and follow through the options pretty straight forward
you can also enable the network folder through any file browser, but i can never remember the correct reg entry for it as i tend to enable it using sktools
try the htc network cab works great
Resco works geat cheers guys!
just the normal explorer, type plugins and then lan followed by the name of your pc. no problem so far with this since 2 ppcs.

Network storage APP

Is there an app for my HD2 that will allow me to browse a shared folder on my PC via wifi? I have a Shared folder on my network that all of my computers and XBOX360 get videos and music from, I am looking for an app that will allow my HD2 to access those files. I'm running the energy ROM.
the HTC Network Plugin , just search for it, works fine on my HD2 , lets you map a network folder ..
Give it a search ...
Resco File explorer will work as well. I haven't been completely happy with it though and will give the above mentioned HTC solution a try. My problem with Resco could be my network though so don't shy away from trying it.
