Titanium -> change pictures tab location - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Hi there,
Quick question, probably a stupid one (I've tried searching for the answer here, but couldn't find one, probably because it's to simple to mention)
But hey, I'm gonna ask it anyway!
With Titanium on Windows mobile 6.5, how do you change the location of the pictures in the Pictures tab of titanium.
It automaticallly looks in device\my documents\my pictures
but I have everything in Internal storage\my documents\my pictures
I've tried setting the album as favorite, I've tried advanced configuration tool
Nothing seems to work, any suggestions?

Change default camera save folder?

This probably been asked thousands of times now and trust me I've search and search and search, but I can't find a working solution. Is there a way to change which folder pictures are saved to when using the camera? I'm not just talking about phone memory->storage card. I'm talking about having it move from \My Documents\My Pictures to say \Program Files\ProgramName\images.
Note: I'm currently using camera version 5.07 (vogue) and I've tried changing registry settings, but they just keep reverting back.

TD2 camera: Date & Time filename

Hi all. I've been trying to find any posts on how to change the TD2's default photo filenames to date & time. It's so much better than the default 'IMAGE0001' and so on which says nothing about the picture other than how many photographs you've taken on your ROM before this one. Date & time is also helpful if for some reason the filedate gets broken by copying or making backups. It used to be configurable in the Diamond 1 camera settings. I want it back!
There are some posts about camera filenames but none that I could find were about the HTC ROM camera app. I've tried to find anything useful in the registry, but all i could find there was a way to change the prefix 'IMAGE' to another fixed prefix. It's not listed as an option in the Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3.
Can anybody give me some directions?
I've found two more possible suspects in the registry:
HKLM/software/HTC/camera/captparam/ enabledatefolder = 0
Not sure if this is what I want. I suppose this creates a date folder for every day that you take a picture, but the images themselves are still in the IMAGE0001 filename convention.
Then there's:
HKLM/software/HTC/camera/general/ filenametype = 0
BINGO! Or so I thought. Changed it to 1, nothing happened. Next images still in IMAGE0001 format, even after a softreset.
This key is different on my TD1 and TD2:
HKLM/software/HTC/camera/general/ EnableNewPromptStr4InnerStorage = 0
I have no idea what it does, but on the TD1 (with date filename option) it's set to 1. Changing it doesn't change filename OR the greyed out camera settings/advanced/prefix option. Changed it back to 0.
Tips are still very welcome. Thanks.
*bump*
I am also interested in this. Has anyone make any progress here?
I found the same problem in TP2. When I change filenametype to 1 then soft reset. Prefix setting still grey...
The reason this frustrates me is because I was able to tweak the registry to save my photos to a specific folder on my storage card on a previous device, but no matter what I set the registry to on my TD2, it only saves to My Docs or DCIM on storage card and I have tweaked everything possible for save locations.
Therefore when I copy the new pics from DCIM to my folder, I always have to rename them through windows. WTF?
I've moved on to the HD2, which has the same problem. It seems to have something to do with the storage location: put it on internal storage and you can change the filename prefix, put it on memorycard and you can't.
Here's a fix that works on the HD2, maybe it does the trick for the Diamond2

yes worked on my Diamond 2... thanks!

Great find thanks. I had changed the DCIM to "0" but never went back ito settings to see that it opened up the prefix.
No problem, just help me find out how to tell 'Albums' that the default directory for finding my photographs is no longer the DCIM folder but the My Documents/My Pictures folder. If we get that fixed I'll be 100% satisfied.
Oh and by the way, the HD2 is a killer machine

Do you mean so that it displays in the Manila tab?
If so, just go to the photo tab, select Albums and navigate to the new Album, then in menu set as favorite.
If not, please clarify.
haha that simple! Thanks!

Registry Keys to set Camera / Picture defaults

Hi Guys,
I’ve done a look through the forums but can’t find the answer for which specific Key I need to revert so hopefully someone can answer this quickly.
Basically I’ve been on a mission trawling the registry to try and find a way to have pictures taken by the camera always save to the \Storage Card\Pictures path. However no matter what change of registry settings I’ve done to keys which look like they might be controlling this path, it always saves in the DCIM folder structure. Also Advanced Config doesn’t seem to over-ride this as it happily reports the new paths that I’ve set.
I’ve found plenty of threads where people have also been attempting this but to no joy. Now that I’ve given up I need to set the correct keys back to what they were originally.
Which key is the one which tells the Pictures Tab in Sense the folder to show the pictures from (as currently my Pictures tab reports ‘No Photos Available’. I’d like to revert it back to the ‘default’ so it at least knows to open up the various directories it creates for pictures/videos under Storage Card\DCIM\
Alternatively if someone has found a solution to this and can point the default Camera save location to a directory other than DCIM, then please let us know.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers.
2 minutes with ceregistryeditor and google came up with these two settings, and a little tweak. Not tested them , so sorry if they dont work, but worth a try!
HKLM\system\pictures\camera\OEM\picturelocation holds two keys,
external - \DCIM\
internal - \my documents\my pictures\
also
HKLM\software\HTC\camera\general holds lots of keys, one of which is EnableDCIM and a google on EnableDCIM brought up THIS post from where else but xda dev.
one for the camera
HKLM \Software\HTC\Camera\General
change EnableDCIM from 1 to 0
this will change the default path to save image from
Storage card\DCIM\100MEDIA to storage card\my documents

Thanks for the info. Through further tweaking and adjusting of those keys I've happened upon a combination which is now working again.
Also appreciate the tip about CE Reg Editor as I wasn't aware of this program. That will be much quicker than the Resco Registry Editor I was using...

Guys... I get "Access Denied" when I try to edit the:
HKLM\system\pictures\camera\OEM\picturelocation holds two keys,
external - \DCIM\
internal - \my documents\my pictures\
Keys? And when I change the "EnableDCIM" key, all that happens is the preview in Sense looks at the new location, but the camera still saves to the old?
No worko?

Thanks for the tip - tried that, but still doesn't work! :-(
I can't get this to work. I had already tried everything mentioned above to no avail.
What ever I do, it always saves under \Storage Card\DCIM\100Media
What am I missing?

Ignoring photos from photos tab?

Sorry, I'm sure this was answered somewhere, I just cant seem to find it or figure it out...
I added folders to my ignore list (HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAlbum\Ignored), which successfully removed the unwanted pictures from the Albums aplication, but they're still apearing in the Photos & Videos tab. Can anyone tell me if there's a seperate entry to controll the tab?
Oh, and I named the entries "Camera1" and "Camera2" if that matters.
Again, I apologize for asking a seamingly common question, but I got no help from my searches.
That's weird... I assume you remembered to soft-reset after setting the ignored folders. The only thing I can think of would be trying to re-set your favourite album to "All"
Yep, I soft-reset.
Here's a bit more info... I installed the "HP iPrint Photo" app and it created some Thumbs folders in the locations of my photos. Those are the ones I'm trying to exclude... "\My Documents\My Pictures\_Thumb144X116" and "\Storage Card\DCIM\100Media\_Thumb144X116".
The one from the storage card is being excluded but not the one in My Docs.
How do i install hp iprint 2.0 app. Can't find it in Marketplace. Is there a cab.I have a HTC HD2. Hope someone can help.
Kind regards

add photos in "photos & video tab"

Hi folks.
I tried using search, but I didn't find something related to my question: how can I add pre-existent photos to album tab? I mean: I want to see others photos not taken with the camera in album tab...
I have already set the default storage in SD card, and I tried to add a new DCIM sub-folder in the existent one. I am sure that to be recognized, the folder must be "indexed" by the tab... How to?
thx in advance to all.
cheers...
in the album tab, press albums >>>albums>>>>open your fave folder>>>menu>>>set as favourite>>>ok
thanks!
thanks a lot for the reply, mate.
Frankly, I never saw this option before...
but now, another question comes up to my mind...the real reason I was not able to see my photo sub.folders is that in album tab there's a maximum number of photos: 99.
Is there a registry tweak to raise up this number like in the max recipients for sms or mms?
thanks as usual...
now I am searching through registry--
cheers
