Hi.
I love the HD2, but I got two things that drives me crazy.
1. Where can I find the option to enable sub-folder synchronizing in HD2?
Here is the link for the previews versions: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/v6-0/mark-email-folder-synchronization-touch.aspx
2. Where can I get into the "normal" settings menu for Windows Phone?
Thanks for all help...
go to your email inbox and and press menu (is the right softmenu), go to extra and then choose to manage folders and choos the folders you'd like to sync. Afterwards in the previous menu, choos update folders and it will be synced.

Mover2
have you tried signing into windows live?
i have it set up through windows live, was really straight forward.
the only downside i have come across was that it only updates the inbox, and not any personal folders you have. it downloads the folder names, just not the contents?
any ideas?
@ mover2: yes, setting up your msn (hotmail)email account is the easiest through windows live on your hd.
@ bennyboy1985: if you go into your inbox and then select options you can select "manage folders" then you can select the folders you want to synchronize including your own made folders

Hi,
The HD2 is my first HTC-phone, i like it so far, but i'm searching for a way to sync more folders than just my inbox using Exchange/Outlook-mail.
On my old phone (WM 6.1) i could go to folder-options (or something like that, i'm using the dutch version) and was able to select and deselect more folders.
I cannot find it on this phone, is this a WM 6.5 or a HTC-sense issue ?
(or maybe my own )
Regards,
Martin.
Just got mine on O2 - cant find the option either!
Did you have any joy??
go into your outlook inbox..select tools, then manage folders, then you can check all the folders you want sync'd
I've selected the folders I wanted to Sync on both my GMAIL and Google Apps account but it only downloads messages from Inbox. How do you get it to sync your sent mail and other folders?
Has anyone got extra folders syncd?
I am syncing a lot of folders in Outlook with our Exchange Server. As twisted-pixel wrote then you need to open Outlook E-mail and select Menu, then select Functions and then Manage Folders. The options Functions cannot be seen on the screen and you need to scrool down to it (It took me some time to find it )
In the Manage Folders screen you are able to select the folders you want to synchronize.
Hi!
I have a problem with emails.
I made an account with exchange settings.
I see my own folders, but I see nothing in folders.
Every folders is empty. I can send emails with this account.
Anyone has any idea??

have you checked that you sync all your folders?
go into pOutlook, open your email/excange account, then press
Menu > Tools (scroll a litte down) > Manage Folders.
Then tick all your folders you want to sync
hope that helps

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant the email program (which I referred to as outlook) on the HD2, go to your inbox and then go to the menu option.. and so on.

It was a little different on my HD2:
start
email
select your account you want to change
menu
scroll and select tools
options
tap account you want to change
click next on edit server setting screen
click next on user information screen
pick e-mail (mine shows contacts, calendar, and e-mail)
click settings
tap download size settings
select entire message from drop down
done
I use gmail trough exchange to sync my email, calendar, and contacts, that may be why mine is different.
OMG, thank you so much.
Damn they made that difficult! Thanks for the help!!

-download size: full message
-automatically download images
Just an FYI
Anyone else notice this?
I have created several folders in my Outlook 2007 pc in order to keep my e-mail organized. Appart from the default folders I have a "pending items" folder, a "client A" folder, "company B" folder, etc. These folders show up in my phone's outlook, but their contents don't. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
In the Activesync window which pops up on your PC when there's a syncronisation taking place, click on 'email', then the 'select folders' button, and then select the folders and subfolders you want to syncronise. Then click 'okay' and go on to complete the options (eg download all, last week/month/day et), and click okay. It should save your settings, and then sync the device. Works for me, and I have all the mail appearing in the folders as selected.
It worked! Thank you so much!
Sounds great... Always wanted this solved...
However I have never/don't want to use Activesync software on my PC. Everthing I do is over the air (e.g. flash a ROM, set-up the email account settings, and go). I can't find a similar option on the HD2 app - any suggestions?
Thanks!

Goto the inbox of the e-mail account in the e-mail tab, providing your settings are for IMAP or Exchange then you can go to options and select which folders you want to sync. If however you are just using POP/SMTP then it only reads from the email provider's inbox.
