Is there a development for Samsung Omnia II (i8000) to be added for Android dual boot? Thank you for support.
There was an actual dual-booting phone sold about a year ago. I can't remember the company's name, though.

I just saw some pics and some video reviews of the coming "palm pre webOS" an I wondered whether someone can bring it to the HTC Touch HD? the webOS of the "palm pre" isn't out yet, but Is it possible to have the OS on the Touch HD? the webOS code is based on HTML, css etc.. just thought it would be nice to use it on my device! thanks for your thoughts and answers!
No ideas or thoughts?
I just need a: "Yes, it is possible", or a "No, just get you a PALM PRE, then you have it!"
just get you a PALM PRE, then you have it
This would be the answer !!!!
People have not fully ported android to HD . So forget palm pre
if android working webos supportet too, both working under linux... run linux... run the others

Android is not multi-touch "YET" Android 2.0 is planned to be.. with the HD2 out.. WinMo phones support multi touch.. just hte hardware.. not the os.. but might be a possibility to port web os..
any further development ???
ok as far as i know there is a massive diffrence between android and web os and that is that android is open source so all the code can be downloaded of the internet and ported to diffrent devices but as far as i know webos isn't so theres no hope!

Hi everybody,
i just found this http://www.htc.com/www/press.aspx?id=103534&lang=1033
If you scroll down a little bit you'll find:
HTC Sense
Built on a culture of innovation and a passion to enhance peoples lives, HTC shapes the mobile experience around the individual. Debuting on the HTC Hero and available on all new HTC devices moving forward, Sense delivers on three basic principles: Make it Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected.

A nice Video can be watched here (ok ... it's Hero => Android, but should look similiar on WinMo-Devices ... except Multi-Finger-Gestures)
Watch how it works with Flash here
IMHO this looks very promising
@Developers:
What do you think ... will this be running on our belowed Blackstones?
@Mods:
If this is the wrong Forum, please move this Thread.
Thanks in advice.
kind regards
fwt
PS: I'm off for a short Holiday ... better said long Weekend. Having some recreation!

Looks promising but I think it would be a while before you would see this on a WM device
I bet that 90% of the cooked HD-roms will contain that interface within the next 6 months
And it looks very promising
greetz
It is new UI for Android OS, HTC loves to make UI for different OS
Windows Mobile ==> Touch FLO 3D
Android ==> HTC Sense
I love it's analog clock
I want it

That sounds petty cool !
Did your preview ROM (released as a preview around the 16th june) is built using Manila or is it a WM version of HTC sense ?
I used it a few hours and was very nice
Yep
That would be also cool if htc would make a plugin system for manila (on futur htc sense) like on WM6.5 main interface to make it easy to develop new tabs (I want a twitter tab )

it won't take long until my blackstone is found on ebay... i think i was just waiting for the "reason"... and here it is! amazing, amazing software. i feel pity of the current windows mobile when i look at iphone and android's OS... ah! not to mention the marvelous Palm Pre.
i thought it is for android? HTC Hero is an android rite?

i second that and i thought i read somewhere that it is coming to WM as well so keep fingers crossed
It's pretty much just a reshuffled Touch Flo with more fancy effects, I won't say no when it's availiable but nor am I going to desperate to get my hands on it.
Samsung Jet will play flash pages
Nokia N97 will play flash pages
Windows cannot dissappointed to find out after getting the first PPC

hey, just ordered a blackstone a few days ago... and saw HTC sense today. I just want it! what do you think, will HTC sense be available for the blackstone too?
just read the posts above, maybe it will be available, maybe there will be a new WM touchflo version... in your opinion, should I leave my order, buy a blackstone and hope for HTC sense made available for it, or should I wait for more HTC sense devices like the hero?
a really really hard decision!
thx!
This is another reason why we need Android on the HD. HTC Sense is so much more fluid and finger friendly.
absolutely. this is a MUST HAVE. can't imagine better then HD with sense...
LOL - Talk about wishful thinking.
HTC no longer support the Touch HD, theres no way you're going to see such an update for it.
would be interesting where you've read/heard/got that info? I just read an article, John Wang: "HTC Sense will be available for Android AND Windows Mobile devices in the near future." (tecchannel.de, in german)
guys what is this

the dual boot works great for my hd2 and perhaps for all the hd2's all over the world. the big problem is that there is no working android image for the hd2, but i hope in the future the developers will bring an working version for the hd2, there are a lot of versions for diamond touch pro 1 and 2 blackstone, but none work for the hd2
I currently have these phones (ordere in listing of purchase)
Iphone 3G
HTC Hero
HTC HD2
Nexus ONE
My conclusion is we need Android for the HD2, the Nexus is great as well but the HD2 with Android will rule!! Hero is a bit to tiny for my taste and I am done with Apple
The HTC Supersonic for Sprint is supposed to have the Android 2.1 on it. It's an HTC HD2 in Android form.
Anyone know of this?
As the title suggests I am wondering just how different the nike is to the vogue... will this android http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625052 run on it? Or would there need to be alterations...
I have tried running some vogue files on the nike and it doesn't seem to work too well, so was wondering if anyone knew why this is?
Cheers!
Android Versions from Vogue will work,
Android isn't running very well on both devices, I think on the nike it's worser because till now there wasn't any development specificly for the Nike
Check the Nike ROMs Forums or the quite useful Wiki.
You will find instructions and info what works/doesn't work there.

ATM on Vogue about everything works, Nike lacks Cam/Bluetooth/NANDinstallation.
All who would like to request developers for Win Phone 7 on their omnia 2 plzz post a request it below
+1
Yes I would like
I would like too
Even though porting of WP7 has been successful on device such as HD2, however, Microsoft seems not planning to help the developers and hackers in realizing the dream of running WP7, so most likely even if the porting is successful, most or some features and applications are NOT likely to work.
Refer to: http://wmpoweruser.com/microsoft-comments-on-windows-phone-7-htc-hd2-port/
i would still like to have another OS on my phone just wna get rid of winmo 6.5

I would like to play with wp7 on my omnia2
i would love to have wp7 too! i support your team, gurus!
who wouldn't want if possible?
Omnia2 isn't in the same league with HD2 in terms of hardware specs.even if it's possible, i guess it will be extremely slow
Microsoft has officiallly announced that no WM6.5 or WM6.1 operator can upgrade to Windows Phone 7....even by flashing......
