sound volume during the call too low!
using AXL3.
yes, i brought all volume setups to the max!
there is a patch, a registry tweak, something???
damn, 43 views not a single answer!!!
Did you set the volume during a call? Without call you can set only the volume of the device and the ringer...
I too am using the AXL3 but have had no sound problems. On the first call I just used the wheel on the side to turn up the volume.

I too am using that ROM and don't have sound issues. The only issue I have is that sometimes when I answer the phone, I need to use the wheel and turn up the volume because it defaults on a lower setting.

Does anyone know if its possible to change the increment value for volume up/down? It seems to increase/decrease the volume by 20 each time the buttons are pressed. Would love to be able to adjust this to 10 or 25 instead.
I would like to know this too.
I'd like each time I press the side VOL UP or DOWN that the slider only moves 1 notch rather than 3 at a time. Sometimes when I'm in my bed listening to MP3's - 3 notches is too much!!!
I have same problem n asked a few days ago
I didnt find the best solution but found a solution none the less ..

Same problem for me.
This subject is talked in many threads here and in other forums but without any solution.
Any one can help please.
Thx
Yep - this really bugs me too when listening to music in a relatively quiet environment.
you can try using HD tweak to limit the max volume, i found that in doing this it decreased the amount of volume change per bar, of course this also limits the max volume to can ever have so its your call but setting it to its lowest seems plenty loud enough for me.
Its not perfect or even a solution but its a start.
whats really enoying is the alarm, you simply cant get windows basic alarm to be quiet, its either off or too loud, G-Alarm takes care of this however.
any leads on this? im assuming it is set somewhere in the registry? ideas guys??
cheers]
Mat
Nothing new about that ?
You can set the max music volume indipendantly to system volume. I have music volume set to 25% which makes is listenable across the whole range of system volumes.
I use Julien Schapmen's excellent Advanced Config Tool to set music volume, it's under the HTC Audio Manager section.

anyone please?
i guess there should be a reg value for this
Thank you
I'm guessing a software volume controller
and using a button mapper
could get around this
I listen to the internet radio through the loudspeaker, never with earphones. Consequently I can't use the audiobooster so I was wondering, is there a standalone graphic equalizer that will work without having headphones attached? I use Wunder Radio.
Also, as a secondary issue, the volume control is a problem. I have to use the up/down volume control on the side of the handset but this means that when I lower the radio volume (even the lowest setting is way too loud), my system volume is then on super-quiet setting after I've closed my radio....and I don't hear my text alerts etc.
Is there a way to adjust the volume in apps without adjusting the phone volume settings?
I'm not sure about the graphic equalizer but you can sort your sound issue by going to Settings>Sound & Display and switching the Single volume setting to off. That will allow you to change system sounds (including the volume of your radio software) without affecting the ring volume.
Use SRS WOW. Search it.

It is precisely the system volume which is my problem, this governs text alert notifications amongst other things. Once you have set system volume levels in the sounds menu, they should stay 'set'. I don't like this ability to adjust them using the volume control on the side of the handset - that should be reserved solely for in-call volume adjustments and application volume adjustments.

Thanks Dude, I'll check it out! If I find it...
New HTC owner here. I find the call volume very low and often have to either press hard on the ear or find a spot on the ear that has the most volume. Its about 30% less then my lasy pos motorola. Is there any fix to crank up the volume? I have it set on the highest.

For me its the opposite, if I turn the volume to the maximum, i have to hold the phone a few centimetres away from my ear...
I assume you have tried the volume button on the side when in a call?

Yeah, i've read some threads about volume being too loud. I tried the side button too but its way too low even at a highest level
It sounds weird, but Radios play an important role in all of this. Try a different radio and see if the volume goes up.
press the volume buttons "during" a call....this volume is different from the volume in regular standby use..........hope it helps
S IV has very low volume while ringing. How can it be loud?

If you've adjusted the volume with the physical button on the left side of your S4, try System Settings > My Device > Sound > Volume & adjust from there.
