As the topic title states.. Anyone in Canada willing to JTAG my HTC Dream?
I just have no knowledge on how to do this and I dont want to ruin my phone..
I prefer Ottawa but anywhere else would be ok.

I second this, I have two Dreams updated with the infuriating Perfect SPL, and the new CyanogenMod 5.x has me drooling. I have some experience with electronics but not enough for this. I'd be willing to pay for someone to take and return my Dreams with CyanogenMod. Also in Ottawa.

Ok so I spoke with ezTerry and he said he could root our phones, so i'm planning a trip from Ottawa to Toronto for a weekend. If you guys wanted I will bring your phone with me and Terry can do them all at the same time.

I just wanted to say that ezterry did an excellent job rooting my G1, I shipped the phone to him, he rooted it and sent it back in a flash. Great guy to deal with and overall quick turnaround time if you chose to ship!
I'm now enjoying my newly rooted G1.

Remember, he has a living outside of rooting phones, so is probably just busy. I just PM'd him.

Hey guys, long story short, but I have to send back my brick to rogers, and in return they are replacing my (was) rooted G1 with a perfected SPL g1
I was wondering if there was anyone in the Vancouver Area that can help me out with a JTAG for my new retarded perfected SPL phone? Or perhaps am I SOL because they are all in Ontario?

I know the question I'm about to ask is totally off topic here in the Epic section, but I really need some help and everyone here at the Epic forums has been super helpful with any questions I've had.

Let me start by apologising in advance for this thread.
I know this has probably been asked and answered but I do not know where to even start.
I am sick and tired of waiting for ICS so I want to upgrade with possibly EOS ROM.
Now I do not know where to even start so please could someone point me in some direction?
I have never rooted my unit, it is the Motorola Xoom 3G.
I also do not know which Rom you would advise.

I used this thread yesterday and went through the entire process with no hiccups..
The link to the Motorola usb drivers is dead but a quick Google search will sort that.

Well based on the kick assity of the atrix I decided to upgrade to the Atrix HD. It's rough right now with a locked boot loader and no root but I'm making due. Kind of why I'm posting this. If anyone wants to help with rooting or unlocking on the Atrix HD theres a freenode irc channel #atrixhd-dev. Not my channel, just promoting. This phone is truly awesome and will be even better once we have control of it. Thanks for anyone that's willing to help or even looking at this!

One dev from here did try to help. Didn't work out so well. Some of the devs over there are shady, dishonest, reckless, and bricked quite a few devices with their "research". Unfortunately, one of the mods deleted the posts that set the story straight. Be careful over there.
Pretty sure Atrix HD has its own section.

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I will start working with the dev that registered this channel on unlocking and hopefully I won't brick my phone XD.
