Just installed Planmaker and Textmaker from Softmaker and they are running Very very nice just like a windows program
Try it with real VGA, you will be amazed...
Beautiful!
I really like textmaker, although I've barely had need to use it, but it looks great. Is this the same version as the old WM2003 one, but just running on WM5? Universal must be the best way to use this kind of pro software!
Heh, for the full experience, try my VJFullscreenTSC:
V
Yes they are the old versions but they are for Handheld PCs
The PPC version looks like this screenshot
@Shaytaan:
I installed the handheld version of planmaker on my Jasjar but I cannot see the menus, etc. I believe the problem is that I did not run the program in real vga mode as your recommend.
I know it might sound silly but can you please guide me how to turn on the VGA mode on my Jasjar.
Thanks for the wonderful information and kind regards
I really really want one! Even if its just a conversion of the origional game with the players updated it would be awsome! I mean it doesnt need a huge database or anything like that just the premier league and a few foreign players...
PLEASE!!
If you want the ORIGINAL Football Manager you could d/l a Speccy emulator?
www.kevintoms.com
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/
think the origional came out for the amiga, buit good idea. id kinda like the origional look but with updated leagues and players.
i downloaded prem manager on the sega emulator and its just not the same
I'd be really interested in this as well if anyone comes accross it. I used to have Champ Manager for Series 60 but not found it for Win Mobile as yet.
Good to see theres some interest out there in this
id love it too
did anyone find something else that's good. i've seen some but haven't tried them: football director, actual coach, etc..
is there anything that's good?
I've used football manager, its pretty good.
Football Manager? Where did you get this from ?
Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! Its actually available?
Not sure if its any good though...

The billing doesnt seem to have an MDA Vario as an option so Im not sure it it will work?
it's for standart mobile phones and symbian phones. don't think it will work on a pocket pc
Ah thats a shame
I had the mobile verison on my old symbian phone and itwas pretty good just not available for windows mobile which is a big shame as I used to play it loads until I upgraded my phone.
afaik, cm mobile is a java based game. Isnt there any pocketpc java player ?
I remember seeing someone getting it up and running via a windows 95 emulator. Can't remember where noe, but if you have the original game and the win95 emulator, then you can work it out.
http://www.pocketgamer.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3660
thats the win95 thing
Ah sweeet! You can download the origional game from www.thedugout.net
So hm will this thing enable and windows 95 program to work on the MDA? If so that sounds very very good...
That doesnt seem to work... Any more ideas?
GEEEEDDDDDDDDDIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!
Ive got Championship Manager 1994 working on my phone! Its a joy to behold lol
Reeet - Download this amiga emulator and follow the instructions on the page
http://www.theoldcomputer.com/Libarary's/Emulation/BIOS_Roms/Kickstart1.3.zip
And then download the champ manager rom and put it in the disk folder
http://snesorama.us/ROMS/?q=championship manager&s=*&start=0
Its a bit slow but still - Looks like - And was / is still one of the best games ever made!!!
EDIT : Its taken like 40 mins to load up a new game, GRRRR! I know the amiga always used to take about 20 mins to do a new game but ARGH! Hope its better when its loaded up...
Is it possible to get the PC version working instead? As it may be a bit faster I think... Any help would be appreciated
Short Version
What ROM is more Fun and Less Business.
Long Version Read Below.
I am a newbie that just got my first Pocket PC phone. Thanks to help from Babski and a few other great members of this forum, they have shown me where to get the info to learn to update my HTC TYTN. I have upgraded the radio and changed from WM5 to WM6. Now I like WM6 however the one I installed, is really not what I am looking for. I really want to be able to play a great range of media files. It seems like the Windows Mobil media player only likes about 1/4 of my Video files. I plan to drop in a 4 gig SDHC card and bring Movies and TV shows along with me. I am using a 1gig card for the time being.
What ROM would be best suited for Media. I am not really using the business end of the features so I don't mind giving up on a lot of those.
Search for TCPMP. It will play everything
It took me a bit of digging to find it, but thank you, I tried one of the files I could not play before and it worked so now I am loading a few other files to see how well they work. Oh and I changed up ROM's to Black Satin as well.
when you say media files do you only mean video files? If so then i would say the advice given is spot on...
however if you also want to play music files then take a look at HTCAudioManager.
I have been blown away with it in comparison to WMPmobile.
Also not to put a downer on black satin, but you might want to try TNT 2.0 i use the 6PM pro version WITH the HTC home built in.
I LOVE it! extreamly FAST, has tcpmp built in as well as HTCsudio manager, and the HTC home bar allows for music play back control from the today screen.
if you're playing with roms i would say you ahve to at least try the latest TNT it ROCKS!!!!
(speaking of which its also rock solid stable, only 2 soft resets in over 3 weeks BOTH of which when running tomtom and i think it was tomtom that killed thep hone not the rom.)
Acuum
(Drunken too much to spell check... good luck)
i found this on other forum.
For anyone who cares you CAN use Skyfire on a non-cellular PDA, such as an iPaq, a Dell, etc. My father who has an iPaq wanted to listen to a local Radio station which streams online via a flash plug-in. I new IE wouldn't work so I tried Skyfire on my Mogul and sure enough it worked.
So, I installed Skyfire on his iPaq just to see what kinda error we would get and it just said it couldn't open some junk, can't remember exactly. I looked around and I found some DLLs that only the phone version of WM has. They were phone.dll and sms.dll. I dropped them into /Windows and sure enough they work!
I have pakaged Skyfire with the two DLLs here in a zip, just install the cab then drop the two DLLs in the /Windows folder.
Merry CHRISTmas!
Code:

it works on my hp ipaq 214.
Dear Sir,
I have downloaded your file. And it works on HX2790b too. Really thanks!
I hate PIE always freezing.
This DLL files are great. Now most of the phone software like "profiles" or "touch shell" works!
Thx for sharing.

ok, the latest version 0.9.0.9333 is working, although it looks kinda blurry on 800x480.
Worked like a charm with updated skyfire.
installed the 2 dll's and the new skyfire and worked perfectly. My device is an Ipaq hx2415. Thanks man
I'm very new with the Athena (or Ameo) I will get this week. I had a Touch Diamond (nice, but so small and slow for me) and a Toch Pro 2 (cool gadget so far). Now I have bought an Ameo I have wanted so long and I hope this little nice device will live a long time.
Well, because I'm new the the Ameo I have some questions and hope you experts can help me.
The Touch Diamond had a VGA screen too but with much lower size and a slower CPU. So, programs running on the Diamond are also possible to use on the Ameo?
Can I use the latest SPB Mobile Shell on the Ameo without issues? Haven't found some infos about.
I can use the 16GB MicroSDHC from my Touch Pro 2 with a simple MiniSD-Adapter on the Ameo, right?
And the most important questions: Whats the ROM I need? Okay, without any informations this is the most stupid question I can tell, I know. I'm looking for a light ROM (German would be nice, but English is good too) based on WM 6.1 or 6.5, but should be stable with all function working like the base ROM. I also want to use the G-Sensor (not only on internet browser), GPS, WLAN and VGA/TV-out. Bluetooth is necessary for using headset. And I have seen a special driver for the ATI chip. Do I need a ROM with this builtin driver or can I install it later?
Best regards

Thanks for your replay, baramuli!
Now I have tried some ROMs... original T-Mobile MW6 (brrrr ), HTC WM6, full AP 4.0, xXaCsXx V4.31 Clean and V4.31 HH WM6.1 (all German), irus Ultra Vanilla WM6.1 and AP4.0 Vanilla, WM6.5 MULTILANG R6.5 RC1 MiChY and lennie's AGB V3.00.0. Some I have flashed more then once to check special tweaks or settings.
WM6.1 build are nice and fast, had around 120MB storage and 80MB free mem. Well, AP4 was startlingly slow.
Michys R6.5 was best looking on paper, but on the Ameo I had much trouble with it. I like the 6.5 design, but R6.5 was unuseable for me. Had have freezes, non working keyboards, broken start menu and some more.
But AGB V3 was amazing. Stable, fast (for a WM6.5.x build) and I haven't found bad bugs so far. The only point I'm not happy with it are the big menus and fonts. Well, its nice for small displays but oversized on the Ameo. I hope I can make some changes here.
Yes, the Ameo is not the fastest device, but pretty usable and my Touch Pro 2 with WM6.5 has dropouts yet. The Ameo can play the same movies I had watched on the TP2 and games (Palm Heroes, NfS Underground, Spore) are a pleasure on 5" (yes, I'm 34 but I like to play games, some times ).
Mobile Shell was nice on the Ameo but I was not happy with it.
My 8GB Class 4 Kingston microSDHC is running without problems on a MiniSD adaptor on the Ameo but I will change to 16GB Sandisk from my TP2.
ATM I try to optimize AGB V3 for myself (change some programs on the ROM, make some registry tweaks).
