Of course, it would seem this place it like it was where base rom's aren't shared amongst the community... Just modified ones, with imgfs headers removed so their "work" can't be ripped off.
I will be posting some generic untouched roms in the coming weeks...

Good news, i picked up my athena tursday evening and thus had a thoroughly unproductive friday at work
bad news is they keyboard killed my girlfriends laptop hard drive (She was not amused) gotta be really careful with these things, was a good two or three inches away.

I believe you can always donate. the organisers did some top-ups from their own pockets. yours could relieve them of some of the weight

looking forward to gotta go work now when i come back it will be installing olipro hardspl and wm6.
just make sure i only need to use stage 1 of the hardspl process if my device is the htc advantage already unlock?

Remember the HTC branded devices, though SIM unlocked, are still CID locked, you can CID unlock it in stages 2 and 3......just a thought......though im sure HardSPL reports SuperCID regardless if olipro has used the same format as with the trin and herm versions.

Was reading a few posts and saw that midgets ameo was "gone" in his sig.
Where'd it go to?
He forgot to Unlock it with Oli's unlocker before flashing a new ROM, and bricked it...
Gona back to the project leaders because of unforeseen circumstances leading to me not being able to put in enough time earlier in the project, however now i have more time (hope you noticed ) i'm hoping on getting it/anotehr back soon

In the same terrible situation as folks without a confirmed date. sony in my country (Singapore) just did a pre-order for SEX1. But I am waiting for operators to pick it up and offer it with contract so that it will cost lesser. Anyway, i am not keen on what the pre-order is giving.

I finally got my HAD TO HAVE IT NOW Xperia - Probably going to sell it .. Haven't even put it in my purse or taken it out of the house. My eyes are older than I am and with the super great resolution everything is too small for me to read .. gotta whip out my magnifying glasses to use it ..

I'l put 2 and 2 together here and i know this smells very odd now indeed. Do not get your hopes up, and really do smell a clever ploy to attract some users.
Who says it was OTA anyway? surely guys like TechCrunch would be given a sniff anyway weeks ago?
Just my 2 cents.
When running for example Cyanogen, I have two questions someone perhapse can answer:
1) Where do I find the option to check for an OTA-update, cant find it in About in Settings?
2) Will I haveto install a stock rom to be able to do the OTA?

Yes. It's an Update, not a replacement for your custom ROM. The only way you'll even get the option for an OTA update is if you flash your ROM back to stock and wait.
Or, wait for a few more hours for someone to release a rooted ROM, which is assuming the Techcrunch link is for real, which I doubt it is.

Well, at the end of the day I won't use the official HTC 2.1 ROM.
I'm very happy with Cronos Droid which gives excellent speed as well as root access, the latter never available with stock ROMs.
Some of the unofficial 2.1 ROMs with newer kernels are getting so good now that for those who root it really matters not. For me SenseHero is spectacular.
So, its June.
Where do we download the official 2.1 from then?

HTC will postpone the second OTA update to July, then to August etc.
We've been ****ed with and have to accept it.

I agree with bluesax, there is a lot of negativity to HTC's support - whilst I agree it is crap, we have given them 22hrs (using the international date line...) so far to provide from the start of June. Yes okay, they have messed us around, but it is too soon to start saying that they haven't given it to us yet, so we are obviously being fobbed off.
I trust (don't know why...) that they will give us the update, and hope they will releases patches as time goes on.
But that's just me.....
