have xv6800 from verizon. has anyone noticed that when clicking on the volume control from the Today screen, that if you use the d-pad to switch focus between the sliders and radio buttons to control your volume that it's backwards? meaning, hit the d-pad to the right and the focus goes to the left. i've seen this in multiple ROM versions, from stock verizon thru MR1/MR2 and custom ROMs from 6.1-6.5.1. thinking this isn't a function of the OS, or is it? anyone know of a fix?
Never noticed but mine is backwards as well. I guess it is a os problem.

I just installed Fring after turning off Touchflo3d. I am now seeing a problem of the volume keys no longer working. They bring up the Volume bar but when pressing the button again the window just goes away without changing the volume. Also, when using the Volume Down key the application that was up when the Volume Key was pressed now registers a down key and moves the cursor down 1 line. This is on a Sprint Touch Pro 2 with the Stock ROM after a hard reset. Is anyone else seeing this or know of a fix? I know this has something to do with Fring as exiting it causes the keys to start working again and running it again causes the problem to come back.
Hi,
I've just installed the ROM Upgrade for HTC HD2 (T-Mobile) 1.72.110.4 on my HD2 and lost the volume control on the LHS button, has anyone else run into this issue?
Cheers
Hi,
I am having the same problem, after updating to that ROM my volume keys now act like up/down arrow keys. I can see this might have it's uses, but I would prefer it if they was to change the volume...
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I was thinking to use a button mapper, but I would prefer it to 'natively' work as it should.
Thanks in advance!
I found a solution, i uninstalled audio route (which is to send audio to the earpiece from Skype etc.), did a soft reset and my volume keys work as normal now.
It might be a coincidence, but worth a look if you are having this problem.
I Managed to get the volume working by chance. I used the Radio and adjusted the Volume with the LHS button, ever since it's been OK. Bit buggy me thinks.
Hello,
I have this problem, which I see was also present on the G1 phone (but with Android 1.6). If I press the up-down buttons to modify in-call volume, the graphic bar indicator moves, but the volume stays the same.
For all other things the volume buttons are working ok.
Does anybody know if there is a fix available for this? Any workarounds? I know about the secret codes, but I want to be able to adjust the volume easily if I am in a noisy area for instance.
I am running stock firmware.
Thank you
Hello friends.
I have the following thing with my volume up button. If I run a finger along, it would flex and slightly click both on top and bottom portions of the button (no press action registered), like something is moving under it. No such thing with volume down button, it's solid. But both buttons work perfectly fine with adjusting volume.
I thought that was the problem, so I stopped at the T-Mobile store, where I bought my G6. Seller ended up opening two brand-new devices and they both had this issue, even worse than my original phone: when I was running my finger along volume buttons, they clicked like I was pressing them. But store display phones didn't have this problem.
I took my original phone back as of now. Do your phones buttons have similar clicking thing, if you run your finger along them? Is this an issue at all?
Otherwise, I like the phone, it's a good device. I can probably just put a case, that covers buttons, so that they don't flex.
I use CEC to control volume on my stereo/shield pair. But the volume slider on older remotes, and even the new one, takes dozens of pushes/slides to move the volume very far. I've tried button mapper but it does nothing for this problem.
It's driving me crazy--Has anyone solved this problem? Going back to IR makes the system even more unusable so I'm stuck with CEC volume.
Thanks
