I installed this ROM and, as well as others, this one comes with power management DISABLED. To enable it, use regedit. Under the search tool, look for the text "powerm", without the quotes, and if they are set to 1, set them to 0.

Weather on HTC home
I'm having problems to acquire weather data on the tab weather of HTC home.
It just is not able to connect to the server. It's not a matter of connection because I can access internet through my craddle. Does somebody have any clue?

Sundream's vs PV DVH Rom
I gave this PV rom a try.... verdict..... on my blueangel, this is by far the most stable. Have tried Swampy's,Explode's, and Sundreams' roms but this latest PV rom has the following:
1.) Has the fastest boot time when TF2D is installed.
2.) Includes Wktask and settings + which provides valuable customizations and functions without eating too much resources.
3.) Stability
4.) Has nice black taskbar and icons.
For those who want to adapt the customization of sundream's rom:
1.) download JUVS large title bar
2.) for large fonts on menu, edit registry (check sundreams rom thread for the registry settings) and use the registry editor included in the rom.
I don't use stylus anymore, i use the following for touch mode:
1.) Touch Flo2d
2.) Thumbcal for Calendar
3.) PocketCM for Contacts
4.) PD Diamond Dialer (Opal phone canvas doesnt work well on BA)
5.) EZ HTC Opal keyboard for SIP (full QWERTY,compact QWERTY, Keypad)
6.) Resco Explorer (touch mode file explorer)
7.) Opal enlarge start menu
8.) HTC Icon start menu hack
I hope PV DVH releases a 1.4.1 build rom like the latest of sundream or a higher build like the latest beta of explode and make it available in xda-dev coz i cant read chinese or vietnamese language =)

Put flash.dio on sd card<=2G, hold mute + record together and finally press power and release all 3 together, sdloader appear and will clean boot when done

A little bug, on the today screen the wifi connexion appears under the "text" tab and not under the hour tab like the operator.

- cleartype is not enabled by default...so go enable after your flashed,this should be a easy fix when i have time later
- yet to know any
as i said this is my first time cooking so please test as your own risk, feel free to modify the rom through the 612 kitchen tools in this board (i used it to build this rom)

I also can't connect to PC with USB, I think it's due to wm6.5 which is not recognized by vista... it's the main problem for me for the moment. I'll tell you if I find another problem

well it is experimental so I only tried awhile before I sleep, so you will have to wait for other users to report
for me, the system seems stable and I haven't had a software that can't install yet
I will include cz612, gb soft tweak for next release
I also can't connect to PC with USB, I think it's due to wm6.5 which is not recognized by vista... it's the main problem for me for the moment. I'll tell you if I find another problem

I have no problem with activeasync, it connect to mine perfectly mine (I use Vista x64),in my experience sometime activesync does not work on either side so you may want to reboot your comp and the pda itself to try again (but so far i haven't had this occured on 6.5)

Tested for a few hours now. Everything I throw at it works : TomTom, Advanced Config 3.3, Vito AudioNotes, VicSoft Keyswop and vSnap, SK Tools, VisualGPS, TotalCommander, ING Change Font, Best Regedit, MoDaCo NoData, ...
One problem appeared WiFi works only 1 time... a second attempt to connect to my router is failing for some unknown reason. I have seen a solution for it somewhere around but can't find it back. i'll keep you posted

Thanks for testing, wifi works for me though. May be it is your router problem? if still can't work try reboot pda/router i guess
EDITED: I read a post in pdaclan and someone said his wifi stop working after transferring large amount of data and his solution is to reflash 0.89 radio, so you may want to try that as the last solution

Hi Keyx,
i've rebooted my computer and my pcc while you were sleeping and It works now ! anyway, thanks for your answer.
I tested a bit further, sms, mms and mail work well, I managed to restore my contacts and events thanks to pimbackup.
I've also installed the last version of Igo8 and tried it on the road without problem, GPS fix quite fastly.
No problem with the camera, works like the previous rom. Wifi works for me too.

good news guys
i finally found a way to get the scrolling softmenu that appear on other 6.5 rom, it seems to be releate to shell in SYS folder, i replace it with another from other kitchen and it works. The only problem is if you change the theme it go back to original wm6.1 non-scrolling and i can't seem to get it reversed.
I think the next version will have scrolling softmenu, full office mobile(word,excel,ppt,onenote), defaults games, cz612 installed by default , flash support for ie
The following will have to depend if I learn how to fix them so it may go into next release
cleartype on by default,wifi display on operator tab , rearrange start menu
I hope next release will be done in a day or two =)

i think to translate you will have to wait till there is french mui out =/
although i think there is a french 6.5 rom in one of the forum in xda, if only if someone can extract then it may be possible

it 's funny how many french people here
what would be great too is that you include all possible xt9 languages, french for example that would at least enable us to use the keyboard of the 614c, with native language...

Known Bugs/Issues & solutions:
* The camera flash won't be working continuously even after selecting manual flash in camera mode- This is not a bug, but a bug which was rectified by HTC to make the camera work like a traditional camera.
* Sound & Display screen is blank white screen - Known issue with ereader tab. Disable & then reenable manila. If you are not using Ereader, disable the Ereader tab.
* Soft keys in Doc tab is not working in V3.4 -- Install the attached cab and soft reset.

I like your work a lot, it's a stripped down stock this is what I wanted! Our device is already super fast and all we need is stability.

Hi just DL and testing now...one thing...where is the Doc tab?
I have tried all the roms so far and decided to go back to STOCk 1.48 because all cooked roms have issues (some more then others) I need to start using my device for 'WORK' all this flashing was 'PLAY' but will give your rom a try as it is the closes to stock.

The document tab comes with latest manila from 2.0+ ROMs, which are not much stable and have freezing issues(atleast with my 16GB storage card and more documents in it).
So, iam using the stable 1.61 base here, which doesnot include doc tab.
Will try to cook another version based on 2.0+ as soon as it becomes somewhat stable.

Optimal pagepool size increases the application loading speed and thus overall ROM speed considerably.
Therotically it should allow to have more program memory or free RAM.

Useful notes:
How to add a cab file as a package in your build!
First make sure you have the files you need with a .cab extension. This is the easiest way to do this. Drop the files into a location eg desktop.
.Open osKitchen go to Import
.Select button for cab installer file
.Press Browse and select the .cab file from the desktop
.Under Device Drop down select HTC Leo
.Uder Group select an existing group eg 04 Software, or if you want to create your own group type in the name here
.Under Name type in what you want to call Ext package
.Press Convert
You will then see a window with Operation completed press Ok
Close the windows and go into Ext packages and select the newly installed package!

I wanted to give the option of upgrading the orgional builds so chiefs can have a choice. It was purely an exercise for me to see if it could be upgraded to the 576mb with office 2010 and .net etc.
I also had the phone on stand by with hspda last night and if my battery is right it dropped about 4 percent!!!!!!!

I am currently working on a sense 2018 version that is also Android compatable. This will be up in the next couple of days. I have got sense working on the build I am just simply trying to modify the base build to tweak it a bit. I will hopefully have a mixture of tmobile 2.10, 2.14 and leo 1.66

Kitchen build has now got Sense 2018! As far as I can tell this is the first Kitchen to be released with Sense 2018 included

It is very easy to built your own project files. Simply select the operating system on the first screen eg os 21869 (WM 6.5) or 23569 (WM 6.5.5) then when you go into the ext packages screen simply select the packages for the operating system eg:
If you select 21869 then select
01 HTC Packages - This is the list of the main packages
02 Sense 2018 fixes if you want to remove the rss feader,
03 23569 fixes - Do not select this - only use this for OS 23569
04 Tweaks - You can select what you want from this
05 Software - You can add what you want into this folder extra programs etc
If you select the 23569 OS remember to go into Sys Packages and select everything for beginers, and select 03 23569 fixes. This folder updates things like the dial pad and the keyboard etc.
I simply tried to keep the Kitchen rar file as small as possible!

For the read only error, simply right click on the osKitchen folder, go to properties and uncheck an read only check boxes! Sorry about that I kinda forgot the check the permissions on the folder before I uploaded it

Memory will be better the less packages you remove. If you dont want sense, you can simply de-select all the manila packages and the start icon loader package as well. It is not currently UC compatable, I have not done much work with this yet, but you should be able to download the cab files and add them in to the package.
What other versions of office are you using?

Just wanted to write back to say that I've been cooking away using your kitchen build and it's got to be one of the best one's I've used. I'm so close to perfecting my own Rom and it's all thanks to you.
Have you tried including the Chainfire 3D drivers? When I've tried it's not gone right (this isn't a problem with your kitchen, as i think it's an issue with OSkitchen and the 3D drivers from what i've been reading). Thanks again for this.

To all - I tested that rom several days ago - decent work. Ok - it does not look like peacock plumage - but it's absolutely well-balanced and correctly-assembled stuff.

Kitchen isn't available yet (read first post). I just can't upload everything in one moment. Simple maths:
2 devices
3 langs
2 WM builds
4 manila variations (No manila, TF3D 2.1, Sense 2.1, Sense 2.5)
I will not upload Manila variations for Leo.
So, 2 * 3 * 2 * 4 - 1 * 3 * 2 * 2 = 48 - 12 = 36 roms. Plus kitchen. Pretty hugh amount for my internet speed I should say

I am very curious about that, maybe I can rescue my forgotten mega

I have been developing in oskitchen for about a year now and development on it seems to have stopped! I had a look at osBuilder and it seems be a bit mad! I might make the desision to move accross to it on my next build!

Welcome ultrashot on the HD2 thread. Finally! I have been using your rom when I still have my x1 and I can say it was the best rom ever. I know you can also bring it here on the HD2 thread.

added a very little localization fix for WWE and RUS roms.

Kitchen is ready. Use the same links to download it.
Summary:
Two the most stable OS releases: WM6.5 21913 and 6.5.3 21690 with all fixes for compatibility.
Two devices: Kovsky (SE X1) and Leo (HD2).
Three manila versions: TF3D 2.1, Manila 2.1, Manila 2.5 - select any or none of them.
Customized & unique driver set.
The best virtual memory layout (for both devices!).
All existing performance tweaks incorporated. Better to say - all my latest tweaks and advices were tested in this kitchen first
Don't forget to check terms of use in readme.

Just copy files from archieve to \Windows\ using Resco Explorer or Total Commander.

ok, thanks, I just notice there are a lot of apps removed, like compass, google maps etc. are you putting those back once you update your roms?
