I've installed two roms now on my MyTouch 3G, based on HTC Sense UI, and both seem abit dark compared to videos of the HTC Hero. Are they dark, or is it my imagination?
Changing the brightness of the screen doesen't help. Looking at the HTC Hero-clock with the weather in it, and the notification bar at the top it's clearly too dark, in my oppinion... :S

I'm just curious.. I have an Omnia and for the startbar and the bar below you can't select full white or full black.. Is there any way to change this properly?
Now for my real question: I noticed that SPB MS 3.5 and also mskip's widgets are both mostly based on a black theme.. I wondered if there is some way you could change it to white?
Another problem: When I change the qa_fundotela2.dat files from black to white.. It actually doesnt change anything about the looks.. but when I scroll now.. Old icons stay in the screen and I get an overlap of everywhere I scroll.. Seems not right?
Installed a rooted version of the gingerbread OTA update and noticed that the menu (home screen, menu button) still is white. I thought Gingerbread had a white on black style and not the black on white? Can this be changed? I was really looking forward to that. I hate black on white color schemes.
Sense is white, while aosp gbread is black
What we need is a Themer! I'm with you, I switch all apps to night view. What I REALLY want (since on CM7, already white on black) is themed Google Voice, Google Reader and Gmail!

Hi
I have recently installed LeeDroid 3.0.7, its mostly great.
The thing I have noticed the most which is a bit annoying are the changes to the notification panel, while I love the fact its now transparent it has this white lighting effect on it, starting from the top left gradually getting darker until it reaches the bottom right.
I understand these can be referred to as the lighting gradrient or spotlight effect.
Basically its too dark, I want to lightening it up.. make it brighter. So I can read all of the text when I have 3 or 4 notifications.
Thanks
you can change it yourself:

NRGZ28's EnergyROM by far comes with the best "minimum" or "small" HTCWidgetClock I've seen to date...and it also came inverted for both the Rhodiums and the HD2s during their Windows Mobile 6.5 customized roms. I'm trying to find that exact same font which he provides on his custom Gingerbread Rom for the HD2 but inverted...that is a black background with white numbers to the left and weather information to the right. I thought that was the coolest darn looking widget on those devices to this very day. The Factory Widgets while they look okay don't quite capture the essence of the minimum inverted clock's font. Thank you.
After moving from Android 4.4.1 to Marshmallow, I have no idea why Samsung or Google decided to choose white theme, it is looks absolutely ridiculous, uses more battery and can't see some of the buttons (such as poweramp's buttons in notification).
Is there a way to change it to dark theme? I can't seem to find in the Android setting.
