hi!
i just saw a few (cooked) roms with winmobile 6.5 which seem to have customized (standard)buttons in the applications - not the normal rectangular, flat and grey ones, but e.g. 3d glass style. i mean those typical winmobile buttons, for example the ones when you go into settings->today ("beam", "delete"...)
how is this possible? how can i customize buttons?
thanks for your answers, hints and tips

Hi,
I've developed quite a few themes in Wisbar and WAD, including the most authentic iphone skin and the vista theme modified from a theme posted here.
I'm looking for a new challenge and would love to have some ideas for a unique interface. Any ideas are most welcome.
if someone has a drawing or sketch to share, please do so that I can make and share with everyone!
Cheers
go for Manila
go for manila - TouchFlo2
My idea is WM7 Theme (not sure fake or not but its nice )
thanx for the suggestions
how about something new? we have a wonderful cube by Slither that has the potential of being moded into manila.
WM7 is for gesture based devices so that's out of the question till we have gesture based hardware!
How about retaining the same look and feel of our current WM devices but allow flick and scroll/gestures and transitions?
Like scrolling today items vertically or horizontally using flick and scroll. And when I click messaging for example, it will have a nice transition before it shows up. In other words, it's like rewriting the WM shell.. hehe.. I'm just dreaming..
We dont need any hardware... wm7 uses the camera to recognize the gestures... wm7 will work for any wm6 device...
wm7 ui is very cool to see
+1 WM7 kicks ass ^^
Is it possible to skin the total Windows Mobile 6.5? Not only the today screen and the usual stuff. I mean really everything, like the buttons, menu layouts, font style, colors etc. etc.
I really like the new 6.5, but i don't fancy the standard e-mail and sms apps. They are not optimized for touch use and the interface is quite ugly. I have no experience in writing apps or building roms. I'm a graphics artist and a webdeveloper. I'm an experienced php scripter. So a little layout tweaking should be do-able for me i guess...
Is it possible for me to skin whole WM? If yes; how?
Hey all,
I've done a search on here for this, but the posts all seem to relate to older versions of WinMo
I have a VF branded HTC TP2 and the font of the start menu is black - which is ok on their theme, but useless for pretty much any other dark back grounds.
Is there anyway I can change the font colour so that it's grey or white?
Many thanks!

wouldn't mind a solution to this myself.not the quickest around the workings of win mo
Hi,
I have a ROM with Windows Mobile 6.5.5, and it has a smaller topbar (With time in it and stuff like that) and a bigger bottom bar then the older version of Windows Mobile.
It's almost like the one of HTC HD Mini, but it does not have the glass effect, behind the softkeys, its just black.
Is there any way to get a glass effect exacly the same as in HTC HD Mini for the bottom and top bar?
I have seen it already in other ROM's, so I think there must be a cab/theme for it aswell, but I can't find it anywhere.
Or maybe someone could make a cab?
Much thanks in advance!

Joshoon
You need to find a theme that matches what you are looking for.
Maybe Dusk Themes?
Also get's rid of stock windows wait cursor and replaces with a Black scolling bar.

Anyways, I desided yesterday to make my own theme,
Take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=662186
I notice that if I apply an older WM 6.1 to my 6.5.3 device, I get the old style popup/context menus where all the options appear on one screen, rather than the newer, larger, more "finger friendly" menus which require scrolling up and down to see all options. I like the old-style ones better.
Unfortunately applying an older theme also seems to have the side effect of messing up some of the icons on the bottom menu bar so that they either don't display at all, or display incorrectly. Is there any way to cause ONLY this old-style menu change to occur, without messing anything else up? Either through a registry edit or some other way? Alternatively, is there a way to fix the bottom menu bar on 6.5.3 when a 6.1 theme is applied?
I haven't done any theme editing before so if anyone could provide any assistance it would be greatly appreciated, thanks...
