Any expert can help me to use T-mobile Web2go on Samsung Vibrant? I tried internet2.voicestream.com, not working

no, it asks me to upgrade to $30 data plan. It was working only for the first few hours when I used internet2.voicestream.com. I searched forum and know some people out there have the same problem too. I wish some expert could find out a solution for this.
as far as I know, you can't use the web to go, since the servers will detect the device and block it, but I am no expert, it's what I was told
All android phones bought from tmo have been imei blacklisted I believe so yeah, it won't work. Also, do please try searching before posting a new thread next time because there's already a thread identical to this one.

Web2Go is the $10 plan for non-smartphones

wow, just wow
and no, the Web2Go plan will not work on the samsung Vibrant.
it worked on my HD2, and iPhone, but not on Android phones from T-mo like the G1, vibrant, mt3g, etc..
Oh right. That plan wont work. Sorry, misunderstood.

Ha I knew I wasn't catching on to something... I went from sidekicks to blackberrys...and now android
Never knew there was even a plan called "web2go"

I know web2go is not working. Is it a way to make it work?
You all seem confused. Web2go is the homepage. Phone-First Web is the $10 plan, and it will not work...

I am moving from att to t-mobile. I have rooted and stock 2.2 HTC installed on my Aria. Do I still friking have to unlock it?

No he will definitely have 3G issues because AT&T's 3G frequencies are 850 and 1900 which the Aria has and T-Mobile uses 1700 which the Aria doesn't have. So you can unlock the Aria and put a T-Mobile SIM in it, but you will only get EDGE service.
Regards,
Tom
thanks all for responses.
can't use aria on t-mobile...

So yay. My LG GT540 can make calls! However, it cannot go on the internet. I'm in the USA and using T-mobile. Can anyone tell me or guide me into how I can accomplish this, step by step? I'm very new to all this I want 3g/4g internet, if possible, not just the 2g Edge.
The reps at T-mobile seems to be astounded by this phone and none of them are familiar with the settings, etc.
Thanks a bunch!
Okay guys, my internet seems to be working now after talking with tmobile. But how can I connect to 3g/4g? I'm on 2g now and it is very slow. =/
Thanks!
Okay the rep said that I may need to update my android from 1.6 to 2.1 and beyond because I don't have the option for the 4g...how can I do this? He only told me to check the LG website.

For internet you have to set the apn settings
Sent from my GT540 using xda premium
go to wireless-->mobile data and unset "only 2g". so, you have 3g.

no, it is not 4G. It is 3.5G or Pre-4G.
I think that in USA exist network test 4G...
China will be the first state...
Na they do have 4G phones like bionic and evo 4G runs on lte
Please help me. I have a motorola atrix 4g. Unlocked. Rooted. Running on t-mobile network. I have 3g contract but all i am getting is edge (which is fricking slow). I know it possible for you to be able to change atrix automatic custom network (which is at&t) to work with t-mobile. Youtube doesn't help cause all i see is bell, sprint and metro pcs. I know it something with the radio. But i need your help thanks.
Do you have any friends who have tmo that you can ask their apn settings? That's my suggestion.

This is true. Carrier radio frequencies do differ in the USA. Wifi is the only high speed you'll get in the USA if you are not on at&t using the at&t Atrix.

Im so angry. But hope something comes up
If you're not locked into a t-mobile contract I suggest going to straight talk, they have a SIM for AT&T version phones and that should get you 3g. Or go for h20 wireless which should get you full 4g speed.

Lol, despite its name Atrix 4G does not have 4G... You need a carrier working on one or two of 850/1900/2100 3g frequencies.

i'd still consider HSPA plus more 4g than Sprint's so called 4g and that wimax thing the original evo has
and I'd consider verizon's 3G more like 2g hahaha
Man im disappointed u should have never brought this phone cuz a friend said I can hack the Motorola custom radio which was at&t to T-Mobile. But he was wrong.

I don't Have 4G or UMTS-3 on HTC One 64GB Developer Edition in the city of Jacksonville Florida on T-Mobile Network. All I see is EDGE. Anyone from JAX having the same issues.
Unless Jacksonville is a reframed network you should expect edge speeds, as the developer edition is missing the 1700 AWS band for T-Mobiles HSPA+ (4G)

How can I fix it?
Thanks

Not much you can do unfortunately, you will have to wait for reframing to finish in your area. If the internet speed is important to you than your best bet is to return the device while you still can and opt for the T-Mobile version.

Thank I mmight have to do that.

No disadvantage in having the T-Mobile one if you can live with the 32GB

UNLESS... Someone posts the t-mobile radios and we can test to see if it woks on the dev edition phones. At that point all tmobile frequencies will work if successful
btw, no need for s-off. Please see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245615
BUT! we need a Tmobile Radio to flash it with before we can use the thread method above!
