Don't let the title fool you. This thread is simply to get all users of this forum to that next level in mobile technology. There are a lot of questions being asked and they are not all being answered. I am here in this single thread to answer any questions that anyone may have. I would like to do it in an organinzed manner, so it will go as follows.
Questions will have a title of QUESTION:
Answers will have a tile of ANSWERS:
When a question is answered the person asking the original question will edit his first question post to say RESOLVED:
That way we can keep track of what has and hasn't been answered. Again this is a way for me to meet everyone and a way for us all to get a little bit further in our efforts to master this machine we call the pocket pc. Thanks!!!
Note: With some help I would like to keep a compliled list here of questions and answers so I will be the first question.
Question: How can I create a list with links to other pages in my thread?

QUESTION:
RESOLVED:
How can I create a list with links to other pages in my thread?
ANSWER: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1111007&posted=1#post1111007
RESPONSE:
I don't understand, why it won't work. It is just like every other thread in this forum, except that I want to try to keep it organized. Thats all and as far as my first request, it was just a question that i needed an answer too and you supplied me with that. Thank you! See its working already.
PS. Don't forget your titles.
acshulk: have you spoken to any of the moderators about this?
I suggest that a much better act for you would be to assemble the questions and answers into a wiki page of FAQs. Yes people ask the same question often, but this thread will get lost amongst the 100s of new, irrelevant threads started every day. If we sticky this thread, it may assist in your utopian dream, but frankly, that's what the wiki is for.
The forum is the sludge washing through the river, to which the wiki is the nuggets of gold that we can dredge up and wear blinged upon our halo'd crowns.

I understand. If you want to take it down by all means go ahead. Just looking to do something productive. I have gotten a lot from this forum and just wanted to give a little back.
Acshulk: don't be disheartened! I'm just projecting because I sympathise... there are increasing numbers of noobs coming online, and they need consistent guidance on certain fundamental issues. So as I said, I agree with the idea, but I think that maintain a FAQ on the Wiki would be beneficial.
Please give thought to starting a wiki page in this vein. I'll make it a sticky post on the forum to ensure it gets read, if you can start compiling something...

Thanks a lot, but how exactly do you set up a wiki. I would love to get that started.
Not a wiki. THE wiki.

I don't use the wiki much myself, but have a read through this to get started:

and

In the dream forum where I hail from we have the same layout of forums but all of the hacking/rom work goes in Dream Development, but for Sapphire it seems the forum without "development" is the most used. Would rooting/hacking/rom threads go in the general Sapphire forum or should they be in the Sapphire Development?
I posted the root instructions from haykuro in the devel forum but it almost seems like they might be better suited here and I do not wish to cross post. Can a moderator do a move and leave the shadow topic in place so it shows in both places?
***In an attempt to clean up the Development & Hacking Forum we have started a D&H Wiki page.***
On this page you will find all links to the current stickies in this forum (which will be "unstickied")
There will be no stickies in D&H, so please don't ask. Go to the Wiki and put your sticky there.
As is the nature of the Wiki please feel free to edit and place a link with a short description of your post. You can also edit the appearance of the page and how it is layed out.
Hopefully you will all add your relevant links to the Wiki and update them as required.
This will, in theory, provide a one stop Index page which should, if this works, be a useful resource to all.
This will of course only work if YOU, the users, keep it up to date and clean.
Greetz and thank you for your help in getting the D&H back in to shape (it has become a little flabby yes?)
Sugestions and feedback are always welcome. This thread will be regularly cleaned, so dont be offended if your post disappears from here.

Even universal tutorials become outdated as we move on to new tools and new Operating Systems.
Besides you should check out the Sticky wiki some of the users have picked up on it and added some stuff that is not as new as most of the stickies are but may be use as much. It's working out great,

Click to collapse
Quite right, some people have taken it on board and have edited and added content, which is great! Lets hope it continues.
This is a great idea so much easier and the forum is less cluttered with stickies now
Good job, it was difficult to find Android related content mixed in amongst everything else. Thank you

Cheers.
Because There's a few that need and have been answered and they mostly clutter up this forum on the streaks.
For example...
Q.MERRR DEeE MErRR UNLOCK!?
A.No, none free anyways, Buy the rebel sim with firmware 1.2 sir/madame
you best be trolling...
There is a Streak wiki and Faq in the stickies...
I know what you mean, this forum (and many others), should have a required reading followed by a multiple choice test to allow people to start new threads.
Just ignore them and they will find their way.
