Current timezone 'stuck' on incorrect location - Hero, G2 Touch General

Where I live I only need to drive 30 minutes south and I'm over the border into another state where the timezone is different. When I cross over the timezone has changed, but when I come back my 'Current location' in the World Clock is stuck won't change back:
e.g
Leave QLD, enter NSW. 'Current' changes from 'Gold Coast' to 'Sydney, Canberra'
Leave NSW, enter QLD. 'Current' stays on Sydney, Canberra
I have restarted, reconnected to carrier network. It's still stuck...
FYI, I am using 'Automatic - Use network-provided values'. Of course if I set the time manually it is fine, but I don't want to

clock displays incorrect time

every now and then, like every 2 days my clock goes back an hour, even when its synced, anyone know whats going on? i have the correct gmt setting just dont know why its doing that.
I assume you are sync'ing the clock with your PC when you sync? Might be worth checking the PC clock at the same time (when the clock is wrong) and see if that is also wrong, it could be a PC clock issue rather than a PPC one.
Is also worth checking that you have the same regional local set on both the pocket pc and your PC. I found that despite setting my XDA to GMT the regional local was still the US rather than UK.
Ensure you've got daylight saving enabled as well.
Some weather apps etc sync the time, so might not be set correctly to DLS time either.

thanks for all your input, i checked through all those and everything seems to be right, hasnt happened since i posted this problem last night. hopefully it wont happen again, but its just odd that it happens sometimes, and what bothers me is its off from the pc time.

8525 Calendar Time Problems - off by 6-9 hours

I have an 8525 with the latest HTC ROM, 2.15.502.3. My calendar wont keep my appointment times accurate. The day of the appointment is always as I entered it, but the time is often off. Sometimes the time of the appointment is right, sometimes it is off by 6, 7, 8, or 9 hours later. I have tried a soft reboot and the problem continues. I have tried resetting all the appointments to the correct times, but they get off again.
What is the problem and how can I fix it?? Help!!
Make sure that your time zone settings on the phone AND on your PC are the same as the one you live in.
Ok, I figured it out. For some reason my phone kept automatically setting my time to London/Dublin time. Even though I would change it manually, it would reset it back to London time in a few minutes. Sometimes it would cycle back and forth. So, I went to the settings in Phone and turned off the automatic time adjustment.
Phone> Menu> Options > Time Zones >Unckeck the box "Automatic change time zone and clock".
I guess ATT has a tower here that gives off a London Time instead of a San Diego Time.
Weird! But that fixed it!

[Q] Phone location keeps switching to Nanping, and I'm in the UK...

Hi,
My Desire HD's location and timezone keep randomly changing from UK to Nanping, China. This is extremely annoying as if I don't spot it before going to bed there's a chance my alarm clock won't go off at the intended time. (sometimes it does switch back automatically, though usually I need to make a call for it to remember what country it is in)
I've not been able to notice a pattern that triggers the switch so far (e.g. always switching location after launching a certain app). Is anyone else having this problem?
For the time being I've set my clock to no longer detect the timezone automatically, but, as I travel quite a bit with work, auto timezone detection is a pretty useful feature so I would like to try and find a way to resolve the problem properly.
Any thoughts and tips welcomed,
Stebo148
I found that whenever my signal dropped out and my phone was in standby it would prompt me for my time zone again when i unlocked it......quite annoying since my reception at work is always in and out.

[Q] Clock resets when battery removed

Date and time reset everytime I remove the battery. Is this normal?
This behavior started after one year of use. On the other hand clock and date are on right values if I do a factory reset but when I pull the Li-ioN out same story repeats It's annoying because i do this daily and messages are all messed up if i receive them before I set the time ... bah. Anyway how can i make my phone allways (after every battery change) sync the clock as it does after factory reset? Yes i have checked automatically sync clock with network. Does HTC Tattoo has any internal batteries to run the clock? Can i run this issue under warranty?

Yes it is normal in following condition
automatic time update off in settings
your network can't give real time or not update time
when i go to my college my phone time always goes wrong because network tower in that area always show wrong time (Also my friend lives in that area have that problem)
if settings is not OK correct them
for network u can't do anything
But what is the diference in protocol to sync date&time when resetart in factory reset and regular restart? Because on the factory reset clock syncs somehow with network and its diplayed correctly but not if I just remove the battery.
Whats the deal with internal battery does Tatto has one?
I have a question like this one. If i turn "automatic time update" on , and the alarm will be late some mins. sometimes, the time will be correct when I wake the phone up ....
for alarm go here
tattoo not have any internal battery so when u remove battery date time deleted from memory & when u do factory reset it first set ur information gmail setup & automatic time setting on that time

time keeps changing

My tab(unrooted) has an issue where the time keeps going back by an hour. All of my time setting are OK. Any one else have this issue or know a possible fix
You probably don't have your timezone set right. Set it and you should be golden.
I've ckecked and double checked my time zone. It is correct
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Does the hour change or the minutes?
I had time issues with both my Tabs, despite setting the correct time zone on startup. No amount of fiddling seemed to correct it.
Then I installed a program called ClockSync from the Market. Its a free app. It can automatically fix the time setting if you're rooted (and keep you in sync), or guide you how to do it manually if you're not rooted. Once I used this program to get my settings correct, I've been right as rain since.
Sorry, I just started a new thread, I don't know if our issues are the same -

Mine shows an hour different in certain things. The clock doesn't change by an hour, some things appear to use GMT and some BST...
