As many of you are aware, there a lot of HTC Hero phones that do not accept the unlock code.
This is what happens :
After entering the unlock code it says unlock sucssessful and goes to the home screen but a message saying no service with a "!" appears.
Anyone facing this problem?
I am looking for a phone with such a problem to develop a cable unlock solution.
Ofcourse I am ready to pay for it, give me your offers.

@ferraripassion
did you get any further with your exploration of a solution for these locked HT heros. I know of several people who have them but they are locked.

if you got the codes from a site, its not working because your hero is network branded with their own unlock algorithm. downgrade to a generic Hero ROM using a goldcard (here are the instructions, very straightforward: http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/18/how-to-downgrade-your-htc-hero-so-it-can-be-rooted/). Once on a generic rom, the codes will definitely work.

Hello,
im just wondering if it would be possible to unlock it somehow with software from omnius-server.com
Cos if DL any FW from them and u look into the 100+mb file, u gonna find "simlock.ta" file which could lead into unlock after u use their flashing method. I tried to flash like 5 different FW i tried to file compare "simlock.ta" each was different but still ho success
Any idea?
The X10 cannot be patch unlocked.
It needs the Emma Dongle and CSCA activation to unlock.
And right now there is no free unlock for this phone.

Just an FYI...you should get an unlock code now for your phone before ATT takes over....ATT sometimes is a pain in the a$$ just to get a code...
You know, T-Mobile would have to unlock the phone before we awitch to AT&T. So we'll all have an unlocked phone by the time they merge, IF they merge.

Could be wrong, but I think they "fixed" this in one of the OTA updates?
No, it never got fixed. An app on the market called SGS unlock, that basically does the unlock code for you.
You can unlock your phone with this simple aplication called SGS Unlock
If you have Eclair use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=554631&stc=1&d=1301355001
If you have FroYo use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=554632&stc=1&d=1301355001
Good luck
why is my unlock code from Tmobile does not work? can anyone explained? My phone is rooted, 2.2 updates using odin manually. Thanks.

Well if you know how to use odin then downgrade to stock 2.1 then unlock your phone and then your phone is unlocked then flash whatever rom you want.

Can't tell by your signature where you are located but if you are in America, you can contact T-Mobile online, give them the IMEI number to your phone, then they will send you in a couple of days, the instructions and unlock code for your phone.

Get unlock code from provider or buy one online.

Easy!
No need any unlock code! just hack your HSPL, and flash a new radio, your phone will automatically unlock!
Android is not native to HD2 so I'm sure it is ALREADY unlocked

You're both incorrect here, unlocking usually refers to a sim unlock, therefore flashing a new ROM will have no effect on unlocking the phone. As the people above you said, you have to buy an unlock code, input the new sim then enter the unlock code (or something along those lines, haven't done it before).
Also, why bother reopening an old, solved thread simply to post an answer to a question which has already been answered? If you're trying to get 10 posts, do it on the newer threads, not the ones from early 2011.
ok this is to try clear up the amount of people posting for this.
there are only 2 ways of doing this.
1. BUY a unlock code!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. use xtc clip to gain s-off supercid and sim unlock.
there is no free way!!!!!!!
unless your device has RADIO S-0FF. NOT revolutionary s-0ff as it is a hboot patch. if you are radio s-off ( highly unlikely as it would need to be shipped s-0ff. )( only other way is xtc clip, but then you would already have sim unlock) then unzip and put the attached file (.nbh) on the root of your sdcard. boot to bootloader. then clear s58 data. this WILL factory reset your device!!!
Again there is NO FREE WAY. NO SOFTWARE WE HAVE CAN DO IT!!!
believe me, we tried...... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448972

I hunted all over the internet to get my phone unlocked. I used another site but the code never came through, i found this site i used live chat to confirm they had the code, i ordered and i got the code with 15 mins and it worked first time and it was the cheapest i found compared to other companies.
Keep in mind that there's always a free way. Just call your service provider and they will send you an unlock code for your phone within 48 hours. The catch is that you need to have an account in good standing. If you don't, you can always fall back on HTC SIM Unlock. I've used them a few times over the years and even got a refund since they coudn't unlock my ancient imate JAM. http://www.htcsimunlock.com/#oid=1096_1

Hi Heavy_Metal_Man,Does that mean that if my HTC Wildfire is a " RADIO S-0FF", it should be unlocked already? How do i check that."( only other way is xtc clip, but then you would already have sim unlock) then unzip and put the attached file (.nbh) on the root of your sdcard. boot to bootloader. then clear s58 data. this WILL factory reset your device". you need to boot into bootloader using volume down and power after the phone is off. if the white screen says s-off and does not say revolutionary then you have either already used an xtc clip, and the phone will be sim unlocked, or it was sent out like that. if you run the diag.nbh it will clear the security data for the phone, but it will only run if you are radio s-off. it will remove sim lock, and give you supercid so you can run any ruu. as a side effect it will wipe all data from your rom.
so, if you are radio s-off this will give you sim unlock. but it will factory reset your phone in the process so back up what you can

Something happened with OS in your phone. Maybe it was rooted, or maybe some error in the system. Any how. Just flash your phone with stock rom. The original firmware that it had, and the code should work. Also try factory reset first. That may work as well.
Good luck.
