How to disable the landscape in the music and pictures tab?? (Manila 2.5 build 1919)
I think there really laggy and anoying. And when i'm listening to music it will auto rotate to landscape in my pocket..
So when i want to change the song i need to wait for 3 seconds too let it rotate to portrait.
I have disabled the 'auto rotate' option and i disabled the g-sensor in WVGA Tweak.. but it doesn't work..
Any solution.??
But i don't want to disable the g-sensor completely because i want to play teeter
With TD2 Tools it is possible to turn off Manila autorotation only, this could help... assuming that you play music with Windows Media Player.

Diamond phone has auto rotation but only to a few application like Opera.
and a few other applications. If I want to add another application to the list,
HOW? but not install other softwares like Gyrator or GSen.
Thanks
Hi all - I just picked up a TD2 and have installed a few apps (SPB mainly) and I can no longer get my phone to rotate. Where is the setting that controls rotating of the screen?
Your hand controls the phones ability to rotate, put your phone in your hand then rotate, the phone will move the same way your hand does.......
.....sorry.....
In TouchFlo go to the Settings Tab, then scroll down to G-Sensor, here you can turn it on or off, but most people (I assume) use a third party app to control the rotation of the 'Screen', I use G-Config http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991, I'm sure others can offer alternatives.
This link is a good place to find 'Sensor' Apps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430541
I'm not seeing how you get into Touchflo to get to settings... that is where I'm stumped!
Ok, Touchflo is the flippy clock, people, messages etc tabs, I assume you have this unless you've disabled it and are using another program 'Mobile Shell' comes to mind, or you've reverted to the standard Today screen.
If you have the tabs as described, move to the far right selection, if you don't, please describe you setup and programs you've installed which have stopped it rotating.
You hit the nail on the head - I installed Mobile Shell and that is when I noticed I lost the rotating functionality.
Try installing G-Config, it might work, I don't know if the TD2 needs Touchflo running to enable rotate, I woulnd't think so, installing a program like G-Config might make it rotate (you'll need to select the apps to rotate with the program)
I'm using Gyrator 2 to enable screen rotation in all apps, but it starts rotating the screen and preventing full screen viewing of videos (.mp4) that I have opened with file explorer.
Now, creating a new rule would be easy if I knew what application the HD2 was using to play these videos, but the autolearn function (which detects which app it is) responds to the stylus being put into the device.
Obviously the HD2 has no stylus so I cannot do this.
Can anyone tell me how to disable the rotation for this app?
Thanks!
"videospeler" on Dutch rom... so I guess "videoplayer" on English ;-)
The HD2 uses a videoplayer called HTCVideoPlayer.exe, but you need to know the name of the app. I'm using a french version, so I don't know the precise name in english (I thing Gyrator is case-sensitive!). The tip to know the app name is simple if you have installed a task manager (for example "Duttys Task Manager").
=> While a movie is playing, just press the Home button. There you can access your task manager and see which applications are running. Just enter the exact name you see in Gyrator to create an event where everything is blank. In the event configuration of Gyrator, don't forget to put this event on top of the "Rotate" event, so that it will be read first. This way, Gyrator will not be activated while your movie is playing.
I had exactly the same problem, this solved it!
I have duttys v1.8 installed and I cant find a place to disable auto rotate.
I installed bsb tweaks and hd2tweak and none of them are capable of stopping the auto rotation.
Its really frustrating because every time I'm in messages and I move the phone just a little bit, the screen rotates and everything gets slowed down.

Click to collapse
Try this
HKCU/Software/HTC/HTCSENSOR/GSensor/
Change Autorotation to 0 (zero)
It stops rotation for everything except for the usual (opera, Photos, music).. hmmm i think it still rotates the Messaging..
Try another thing
HKCU/Software/HTC/HTCSENSOR .. go thru the white list and the module name list and delete messaging file...
Do take a back up of the files you delete.
Cheers!
I tried both and they did not work.
anyone have any ideas how to disable it?
Maybe use Gyrator and add Manilla to the exlusion list?
Downgrade Manilla?
Or use another ROM, which fits your requirements
BsB for sure works on stock ROM. So maybe this ROM uses some different rotating software ?
Disable auto rotate in HD 2
Anyone know how?
Messages and email constantly rotate when reading lying down. Very annoying. BsB tweaks doesn't work. The other suggestions in this thread don't work.
There aree some great tweaks in these forums but no one seems to have a tweak that works for disabling auto rotate?
Please help
Use registry editor to delete whatever u want inside this folder to disable effect of gsensor on it
Remember to backup first
hkey current user / software / htc / htcsensor/ gsensor/ white list /
Disable Opera 9.7 auto rotate in HD 2
I had the issue wth Opera 9.7 as well, tried changing the registry etc. without success...
And solved with the help of BSB Tweaks 1.61.
1. Run Bsb tweaks.
2. Menu -> rotation
3. Select (check) Opera (opera_mainWndClass)
4. Options -> Rotation status -> disabled
5. Close -> Exit
6. Soft Reset
Other things such as album rotates, but opera doesn't.
Hope this helps.
i found that autoration in my hd mini is off by default..
in the music tab i can get all the options if i can t use it in landscape!
after hours of research i found in the registry that the key "fullscreenmode" (or something like) is OFF by default.
trying to enabling this manually (by adding some other registry key for the g-sensor) causes problems: i don't know the audiomanager class name so i can't configure correctly
i got the latest ORIGINAL ROM.
What to do?
AND after that a question... is the manila music player usable with a big library?
In portrait mode, opening "catalogue" i found NO WAY to listen an entire album !!
thx
Hi there,
unfortunatelly the Sense (Manila?) Music-Player isn't very functional - I would say it's almost unusable because of the following restrictions:
- There is no search-function.
- You can't even fastscroll through tracks if you search for a special track because you can't drag the tiny slider which is on the right side. Even my old N97 mini let me fastscroll through my music-library (the N97 also showed the letters while dragging the fastscroll-slider). As I know - the HD 2 has this slider - but only in landscape-mode which isn't available on the HD Mini.
- After selecting and playing a track from the library (in which you have to manually select which can be a pain if the track begins with "Z" and you have over 2000 tracks - due to the lack of a fastscroll / search option) you have to manually select further tracks again because after returning from the Music-Player to the library - the library shows the first track in the alphabet and not the last played.
- Shuffle mode isn't saved - after turning off and turning on the phone you have to manually disable shuffle and enable it (the shuffle icon is there but shuffle isn't enabled) to get it working again.
- Sometimes (6-8 min after the screen went black) the player interrupts playback 3-5 sec and continues after this time. I think this has something to do with the energy-saving methods of the HD mini. This behaviour occurs only once after the screen has gone off - when you unlock the phone to select another track for example the behaviour re-occurs again after the screen has gone off.
Greetings
Timo
thx for the fast reply
i think the method of use of the cover flow is to browse and play an album or a track, or play shuffle the whole library.
So for me doesn't matter the search function...
but.. why i can't get it to work in landscape mode?!
