SD card and program detection... - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

why is that my SD card is not detected by my BA wm6.5 (build 21169.5)??
well, it sometimes can be detected but most of the time it isn't...
also I installed cnetx flash format to reformat my brother's SD card...
it says the tap Start>Settings>System...
but I cannot find it...
I installed the same program when my BA was still in wm2003 SE...it worked but now in wm6.5 I can't even find it...
why is that?
any solutions?i'll appreciate it...
thanks!!!

Please refrain from opening new threads with problems. There is a Q&A section dedicated for this in the BA section. If you have questions/problems, please ask there. Most of us are always watching that thread.

Any Sugestions?
RE:

RE:
Tried a hard reset and soft reset no results.
I think I'm Screwd
You need to get an sd memory card and card reader/writer, using the tools available here on the site you will need to write a rom to the sd card through sd card reader on your pc, then you go to bootloader mode and the sd card will burn the rom to your xda.
Thanks for the advise. I have a 1Gb sd card so I will get a reader.
I'm kind curious about Bootloader? Can Anyone enlighten me or point me to posts that have the info I'll need.
My computer is running windows is this ok?
All advise is much appreciated
Thanks For all the help. I fixed the Problem with the Bootloader. Finished the upgrade to A.30.09.
I just wanted to say that it is AWESOME to have a sight like this when the manufacturer doesn't have a clue how to answer many of these Q's.
THANK YOU QMAN (i got the info off one of your posts) AND ALL WHO PASS ON KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!1

This has been discussed in the ROM development thread.
Did you take the sd card out when flashing it??
My advise would be take it out and hard reset it and see if that helps.

please dicuss this topic in the above given thread. So we can catch the most information in order to find the reason of that issue
On MIRI V12 :: SPL 1.56 :: RADIO 1.14.24.25
Maybe it will be useful for you! I had a similar problem.
When I connect my MicroSD card on my HD, I saw it but after some seconds, it disappeared.
Then I try to backup my MicroSD with a SD adapter and put it into my PC.
And I remarked a bug on a folder named “BACKUP” at the root of the MICRO SD.
Then after backup all files (but not this folder) I formatted my MicroSD (FAT 32, 32ko).
I put it into my Touch HD and I done a soft reset.
After boot, a new “backup” folder was created and in its properties the checkbox “ROM” was checked.
I remember I backed up some day ago, formatted and then re-copying data on MICROSD.
I think there was an error during this step.
I hope it will run for you!
And sorry for my English ^^

hi. dont mind, but i feel the need to suggest something to you.
when you write about a problem like this, dont write a new topic, but rather use the same thread from where you downloaded everything that you have.
also always mention the phone details that you have. no one will know what you are really talking about, which programs you downloaded and are not working and from which thread.
i dont have a LEO, so do not know much details about this model, but do have another O2.
in case of SD cards, many times the SD card must be formatter through your computer before it can be used. in some cases, the program you are trying to install did not get downloaded properly somehow and you have to download it again. simply re-installing probably wont help.
in yet some cases, your SD card is corrupt and has to be changed.
hope this helps. but do try to use the same thread and not start a new one.

ANDROID by Erkin AY

Instalation - First time usage:
- Extract the Android folder (with all files in in) to root of your SD Card. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
- If you already have an Android folder on your SD Card DELETE IT, because this version MAY BE INCOMPATIBILE with older releases !!!
- After copyng everything to your SD Card ensure you have at least 2 GB free space for data store
- After u have done all steps go into Android folder and tap CLRCAD (for working sound), and after that just tap HaRET.
- On first run when there is “Creating a new datastore” just give it time to complete, and on first boot be patient and give it time to load everything DON’T FORCE...
- If you get some strange errors, or Android does not work, try to reformat SD card and try everything from the start.
If that does not help, check your ROM/Radio version and search on XDA forum similar problems (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=735), but be sure to SEARCH forum before you post a question.
When you say "ROM" you mean that it's flashable on the NAND?
If so, it's amazing! But I can't find a DL link, and the site linked in the thread is in a language I don't know
good question... starts it from Boot? any other info, details, version, etc?
If you want to use links, you must register firstly
This thread is funny on multiple levels.
He states put it on the SD card so, no nand.

[Q] How to install HSPL4 from SD Card

I have a HD2 with a failed USB adapter. Is there any way to get HSPL4 installed via the SD card? I've looked all over without any luck. I'd like to get ICS installed and that seems like the only hurdle.
Thanks
Steven
There is no way to do this... Sorry.
Can't be done, however you can still use SD android.
Sorry for posting in wrong thread. Please delete this reply.
Thanks MOD & sorry again
