Read the tutorials that are sticky.
They explain how you can tell the difference by the IPL/SPL versions.
Yours appears to be G3, but judge for yourself.

when you boot up it will give you an IPL/SPL... if its a G4 your phone will have .0001 at the end of it, example IPL 2.26.0001 SPL 2.26.0001.. a G3 will not have those, example IPL 2.26

now a better question, what is the difference between G4 and G3 units?
what's funny is that before i upgraded my ROM to the current 2.26, i could have sworn i would always see a .0001 attached to the first and second line. After the upgrade, it doesn't show like that anymore.
Also, what if my unit says IPL 2.13.0000 instead of 0001? Is this a G4 or G3

i believe that if you have any kind of .0000 or .0001 etc that its a G4, none of the G3's have that..
Excuse me if in wrong section, but I have a QTEK S200 (Prophet) with the following bootsplash data:
IPL 2.09
SPL 2.09.0000
GSM 02.07.20
OS 2.9.7.29
I guess it's a G3 version, as IPL doesn't have any trailing zeroes, but could you please confirm that ?
I have a bootsplash lockup problem with the sonar single pulse noise, and afaik the first thing to know is the "G" level.

G4 is x.xx.0001

My prophet is in bootloader mode due to wrong upgrade.It could not enter into system.

SPL 2.20.0001
Actually My Prophet has a G3 DOC and SPL is of Now G4 DOC.
How can I safe my phone!?

Restore a G3 SD backup would do the trick I guess

SORRY,I didn't safe my prophet! I have G3 machine(S200).but the SPL is 2.x,I can't backup it to SD CARD by mtty1.42, -_-!
I am facing the same problem. There is only hardware option.
I'm confused since IPL has no zeros after 2.09 it should be G3?

im pretty sure if your ipl / spl is just 3.08 then its a g3 if however it has .0001 and then end of your ipl / spl then its a g4
for example,
3.08 = g3
3.08.0001 =g4
Looks like a G3 to me my friend, but to be sure, go ahead and download the Wizard Service Tool and run it...let it do its thing, and it will tell you if its a G3 or G4.
Hey, i tested Wizard Service Tool and you are right - its a G3.
Now I want to unlock the CID with Lokiwiz0.2. First I had downgraded the IPL an d SPL - ok, I tryed. Now my IPL is 1.5 and my SPL is 3.08. -.-
What happend?
edit:Now I tried the Guide from Dr Puttingham with Buttons 1.05-Rom. The self - IPL: 1.05 and SPL still 3.08.
edit2: OK,NOW I HAVE IPL AND SPL at 1.01!!! Now I can flash. YEAH! ^^

your device is Htc Wizard G4 because the IPL / SPL it consists of three zeros {2.21.0001/2.21.olip}
