I blew my bootloader some how and spent some time modifying the pnewbootloader source code to make it work for WM2003 ROM version 4.01.16
I took original source code by itsme and added version and address information for ROM 4.01.16
Use this in conjunction with a valid 5.15 bootloader image to downgrade your bootloader imaget to 5.15 from 6.22 or 5.22 or 5.17
type pnewbootloader_40116.exe bootloader_v5_15.nb0
to apply the bootloader.
FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK. This program uses defined ROM addresses and will only work with known ROM versions. There are some basic checks to prevent damage.
Fixbootloader don't work
I have T-Mobile ROM 4.01.16 with bootloader 5.15 probably locket by this T-Mobile ROM (I can't flash any other ROM and original pnewbootloader whrite message "Unable to find flash info offset, cannor disable bootloader writeprotect")
When I trying to start you updated pnewbootloader, my WinXP popup a message
"The application failed to inicialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the apllication"
What should it be?.. :?:
This application needs ActiveSync and also the "itsutils.dll" to be located in the same folder as teh EXE.
Which version of XP are you using. I built it on a XP pro SP1 box.
I have exactly the same: WinXP Pro SP1
I run in cmd "pnewbootloader_40116.exe bl515.nb0"
from the folder, which contain
pnewbootloader_40116.exe
pnewbootloader.exe
itsutils.dll
pput.exe
bl515.nb0
Activesync 3.71 i connected to my XDA.
Cant really say why you are having this problem. But one this might help.
Seems like your .net framework is either old or not working.
Go to windows update to download and install the 1.1 .net framework or visit
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...e3-f589-4842-8157-034d1e7cf3a3&DisplayLang=en
Thank you for your help! The problem was realy in .NET version.
I had 1.0 installed on my WinXP.
After updating to .NET 1.1 your program is working fine. And it seems, that it updated my bootloader. Its output was
pnewbootloader.exe bl515.nb0
in FindFlashOffset (or somthing like this)
protection found at 8c0d62c8
result: 00000000 00000000
After that my device is still bootable and boot my 4.01.16
But I still can't update my ROM to 3.17.03 through XDATools..
Can anyone help me? plzzzz!
are you using xdarit to write your image to SD card ?.
You have to use SD card flash method to upgrade/downgrade the ROM.
Download XDarit and use that to write the image (.nb1) to SD card in 1k header format.
Then reset and boot your pda after holding the power button. You will see a menu which will let you flash your PDA with the image on the SD. Search for xdarit on the forum. You will find SD card flash process also.
rchir, when you said I blew my bootloader some how , did you mean you get GSM error?
Thanks
No,
I was unable to get into the bootloader anymore. I trid to build a boot loader upload SD card and it wiped out the boot loader from my PPC.
GSM error might be due to you Radio firmware failure.
Thanks, well, if you could figure out how to solve the Radio firmware failure, please post it, I'm sure many people here would apreciate it
would this fix my broken bootloader?my unit doesn't display anything on it's screen, I think I've already erased my bootloader pls help me, I'm so desperate about this.... i tried everything which inside this thread but my activesync can't detect my unit...SOS
I also have a broken bootloader ...
I have an xdaII, and I've somehow overwritten the original bootloader v1.06 with a corrupt bootloader image. Now my xdaII is completely dead. No leds flashing, no screen, no button response. All I get is a flashing red led when i rty to charge my xdaII without the battery. It seems I can't access my bootloader anymore. Plz help !! If you know any method to access the boot loader agin it be a great help. Thanks.
sorry guys, it has been a long time since i sold my XDA, but i think pnewbootloader will only work if you are able to connect your pda to PC with activesync.
So you should have a working XDA, with a broken bootloader to get it fixed. Seems like in your case, Both the ROM and Bootloader are corrupt. I am not sure about any process which will fix both at the same time.
can u post the download again? or pls send it to me [email protected].. THANK YOU..
(the download feature does not work, here in my computer, and another another computer appears a error message)

I have original HTC Advantage 7500 not branded with Spanish windows . After tried to update with English RUU my htc Advantage stuck in 3 colors boot-loader mode. Any resets(soft, hard, boot-loader) not help.
Than I find this suggestion here I tried it and it help:
I think you are not stuck in bootloader, I think you are stuck in the Flash
ROM utility which has colors and not just the Dopod logo with a black scree.
If this is the case, here it is what I did to solve this:
I downloaded ruu_athena_dopodasia_wwe_1.24.707.3_105_6275_1.32.
00.10_108_ship, which you already did.
Decompiled the RUU_signed.nbh contained inside
ruu_athena_dopodasia_wwe_1.24.707.3_105_6275_1.32. 00.10_108_ship with
dutty's good NBH tool found at: http://forum.xda-
developers.com/showthread.php?t=296316 then I created a new RUU_signed.nbh
with the same files but it didn't allowed me to insert some items like the
SIRFBootLoader.nb and some others, so I started executed the
ROMUpdateUtility.exe again and it stopped again at 1% but with a different
error "Corrupted ROM Image" and suddenly! My device was taken out of the
Flash Utility to see the bootloader screen again! Wow! What a relief!

after that my Spanish OS reloaded and I can to do ActiveSync with PC - Than I find the suggestion in this thread how to flash any ROM to CID locked and I tried it and after 5 min connecting error occurred . After hard resetting after this "update", after the HTC boot screen I just get a white screen. The HTC does make a sound as if it's working and BT and WiFi leds blink. When device connected to PC the HTC does make a sound as if it's working, but the ActiveSync with PC not work, it write that can't to connect to mobile device. And I just can't see anything just white screen.
I can't find Spanish HTC Advantage 7500 not branded RUU in all World.
So I need cid unlock without ActiveSync - from bootloader?!
Please help(I also ready to help - I will send donate).
Hi,
I have HTC Artemis (P3300) ARTE100 which is CID locked and SIM unlocked.
Phone was making some strange problems, would not show battery charge status even if battery was charging (checked with voltmeter), vibration would not stop on received SMS etc... So I decided to reflash it. I have used original ROM from HTC site based on device serial number. It was "original" HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe
Flashing completed with 100% and "rebooted" but did not came back. After 15-20 minutes I tried to turn it on/off, reset but did not worked. So I pulled the battery out. After this I can't turn on the device anymore on power button. It will not respond to it.
Then, I have tried to hard reset the device. It showed the confirmation screen but after reboot I get green screen as in attachment. Even then/after it will not respond to power button.
It responds and want to enter into boot loader. Tried to do "plain USB" flash again but it did again as first time. Also SDCard flashing did not worked, just shows something like "checking sd card" but will go into tricolor boot loader.
Then I did something very stupid. In MTTY I was testing out different commands I have found. One of them was "doctest 1". I have found later that you should NEVER run that because it will overwrite CID/radio/security... section in mDOC chip.
Now if I try to flash with ANY ROM it will report different things.
* ERROR 244 (Invalid Model ID)
* ERROR 270 (Update Error - The image file is corrupted)
* ERROR 294 (Invalid Vendor ID)
After this I have tried MANY things which can be found on this site... but for most of them I MUST be able to boot WinCE to be able to flash new USPL/CID unlock trick.
Also, I have found that some models can be reflashed with JTAG but not this model. Am I correct?
So, my question is. Is there any way to reformat or reprogram (with JTAG) HTC P3300 and how to do it?
I have another (working and completely CID/SIM unlocked) P3300 which I could use as "donor" but I do not know how to "copy" the chips.
Any ideas?
i have a same problem help please

Hello community,
unfortunately i need some advice. I
After Flashing my Herald (CID locked by "Vodafone"; IPL 4.17.0001; SPL 4.10.000) second or third time with a different ROM it stucks at famous bootloader (red, green, blue coloured screen). No chance to boot, Hard reset without any other result. Just that bootloader screen. Biggest Problem is, that i do not have the original vodafone-ROM, that could fix the defect. So i have to install HardSPL to use another ROM, but how – connection to ActiveSync not possible with only bootloader active.
Flashing HardSPL via SD-card fails, maybe my fault... I took the .nbh-file of HardSPL7/HardSPL9, renamed it to HERMIMG.nbh and copied it to 2GB FAT32-formatted SD-card. Inserted SD-card in device, activated bootloader-mode again (even if i think it is permanently active) with pressing camera-button, hitting soft-rest with pen while pressing mentioned button. The device checks for SD but does not recognize the file.
I also experimented with MTTY, but without any result. "Goldcard"-thing not possible for me, because a second WM-device id needed.
A solution out of reach for me. What do you think?
THANK YOU!
Ulf
Administrator, please move this thread to correct section. I think i am wrong here...
THANK YOU!
I think, it should work without active sync, too.
The Herald restarts in bootloader-mode everytime you flash something new. Sometimes you can see the bootloadermode in such cases.
Try to connect the herald in bootloader-mode with your pc. It should show you a usb connection. In this case you can HardSPL your Herald.
Here you can find your shipped Vodafone-Rom.
