Is it possible to take an image/snapshot of the factory ROM that is currently running on my S511 and use it to restore over the new 6.5 ROM if I had any issues or wanted to return it to Sprint?

just so you know in case you don't know, there is some problems with the rom and as of right now (unless i'm mistaken) there is now way to take the rom off.
And with the new possibility of rooting i saw wait for rooting your eris or just get the nexus one
The Rom works fine.
There are NO major issues with rom version 0.2 or 0.3.
And if your phone is rooted, you will probably find a new 1.5 ROM on her soon based on the original stock. So you can flash a new ROM. Assuming you are talking about the rooted 2.1 and not the leaked one.
Hey all,
I was looking at some of the custom roms available. Is it possible to update to say ViperRom w/o changes to the stock Epic look/feel. That is, is the stock theme removed and are Sprint stock apps, etc. removed as well? Has anyone been successful in restoring their apps/settings after an update to a custom rom or just vanilla 2.2 leak? I just want a fast/stable ROM but with stock Samsung look/feel.
Also, what is the Bluetooth performance and SIGNAL performance like in 2.2.1 based ROMs? I saw no one review that.
Thanks
I havent really been able to mess around with custom roms since Samsung Epic, Galaxy S1. When going to a CM rom though it resized some kind of partition and if you wanted to flash back to another non CM rom you had to connect it to pc with odin and go back to stock. I'm just wondering if that was just an Epic thing or its the same with all CM/Xiaomi Note 4g. Im just interested in trying a new rom other than official miui.
So basically can I flash a CM 12 or 13 rom and then be able to flash the official one again if I wanted, or restore a backup from before CM?
Hi,
I am looking for a custom ROM to get rid of all the bloatware that came with the default ROM of my S4.
Could you recommend a custom ROM that runs stable and without bugs? I don't need the latest Android with the newest features. Just a stable system without bloatware.
Thanks in advance!
The most stable rom is going to be the latest stock ROM if you want the Samsung features.
You can remove bloat by rooting and uninstalling or freezing apps with Titanium Backup.
Hello, i have been using pixel expirience room for a quite some time now I also installed stormbreaker kernel. However i would like to go back to stock rom. Im not sure what do to, do i delete everything and just flash miui or there is somthing else to do first ? keep in mind storbreaker kernel is installed on my phone.
Miflash tool
Well, you can flash stock rom in your custom recovery like any other rom (from what i remember your custom recovery will be replaced by the xiaomi stock one) but i recommend you to flash xiaomi.eu rom, its like stock but better... (and you will not lose your custom recovery), and lastly i don't really recommend a miui based roms, if you want a lightweight rom i can recommend POSP.
P.S. When you flash any rom it doesn't matter what kernel where you using since you replacing whole system that have it's own kernel...
