Clear your data, temp internet files (through PIE Menu)
Delete stored email or text message
remove old downloaded .cab files
read your owners manual... it tells you how to do these things.

Buy a storage card.

Send/Receive draining my memory

I see a lot of tweaks showing how to save attachments to storage card. MY problem lies as the emails download. I had to Clear Storage and then re-linked my emal. I watched in horror as my device memory slowly leaked down to .03 MB. One message fully loaded but whenI went to open it, I got the MEMORY STORAGE CRITICALLY LOW alert. This is frustrating cause I don't even know where to clear this memory and get back to my default amount. Can someone please help

Disabling low free storage space notification.

Hi,
As a title says, is there a maybe registry key that could disable low free storage space notification?
I have only 2.86 Mb left
Uninstalling programs from main memory is not an option!
Win mo 6.1
i had the same problem a few days ago, i cleared out my internet cookies, cache, and history... which took care of alot of it, but i also deleted call history and text messages... took me from under 2mb to 12mb... also try installing all of your stuff to your storage not main memory

how to to store mails in storage card?

Hi, a friend of mine own a Leo ..he wants to save mails in storage card couse internal memory is not enough, on wm 6.1 it was quite easy .. just create 2 folder in storage card and add this 2 registry entry
Name: AttachPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI\Attachments
Name: PropertyPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI
but with 6.5 I think is different couse when he add the registry values, storage card is renamed in storage card2 and a folder named storage card appear in \windows.
Any suggestion
Thanks
Nope, I have been searching for an answer to this from day one of owning the HD2. It's also nothing to do with WM6.5 - the tweak worked fine on my HD on 6.5.
I suspect that the cause is something starting up a mail application before the SD Card is mounted. I have tried various tweaks including removing some start up items, but nothing has worked to date.
I'd be very please if someone can crack this!
Hi, not sure if this helps but it's not a tweek but an actual setting on the HD2 -
Start, email, select your client, menu, slide screen up and tap tools, options, storage tab along the bottom, tick the box to store attachments to the SD card.
That's fine for attachments, but we are talking about moving the whole mail store to the SD Card.
That's the difference between having a limited snapshot of recent mail without the full message being downloaded and having every part of all your emails, including sent items.
anyone figured this out yet, it keeps coming up storagecard 2 if you change the reg values
so we have to have to wait.. a custom rom can solve this if is not a 6.5 issue

Weird thing is that if you enable this option, the registry value "AttachPath" gets created pointing to \Storage Card\Inbox.xxxxxxx\Mail Attachments\
But in this case \Storage Card\ doesn't get renamed to \Storage Card2\. But the moment you create "PropertyPath registry value and soft reset the device, it gets renamed.
anychance we can all work together and try to find a fix?
how about if we disabled htc messaging, is there anyone who has a non htc messaging application hd2, who can test this for us ??
I have a lot of email everyday and need to keep it at least 1 week. The email folder occupe my limitation memory. It should solve. Its HTC trouble or Micorsoft?
I have the same problem, around 2.5k mails in Exchange, and 3-3.5k in GMail account, really would like to store them on microSD card
As my working assumption is that the problem is caused by some component of messaging initialising before the SD Card is mounted, I have tried a number of things to delay or prevent obvious messaging stuff loading.
One thing I haven't tried yet is disabling Sense in favour of either Titanium or just the core OS. I'm not in a position to be able to try this myself right now, but if anyone fancies trying it I'd be fascinated to know the result. Then all we would need potentially would be a utility to delay Sense starting by a few seconds?
I do have a horrible feeling that HTC may have something going on at a deeper level though...
Nope, that doesn't work either...
Has anyone been successful with this severe limitation?? I'm at my wits end with this problem!!
i have an idea to a solution

Memory Full?

I get an error saying:
The memory is full. Please delete some messages.
What does it mean?
And the error keeps popping up
I read somewhere it was because the sim sms box was full. I mean with 1gb rom and 16gb sd card why does it not store this information on the rom or sdcard?

The error can come from having Pics, Videos, Email, Ringtones all saved to the phone instead of the SD card. I would go through what is in your Documents folder and move everything to your SD card. It can also come from having programs installed to the phone memory.
Go to SMS. Delete any messages from T-Mobile or whatever your system provider is.
Then All Messages in the lower left
Menu on the right
Scroll down to Tools
Choose Empty Deleted Items
I had this problem too. Apparently by default it only moves deleted SMS to a "trash" until you do this.
But my memory is not full. I guess if have to delete some messages I will.
I had this same issue with one of my users, turned out to be the sim card. It was an older sim and i guess they do not have the same amount of memory as the newer ones. Get yourself a new sim and you will be GTG.
Messages stored on sim
GO to you messages and delete the messages with the icon of a sim card next to them. I just had this issue with my HD2 and now its solved.

I figured this out a little while ago, but it is still dumb that we get such an error.

Well it's referring to the memory on your SIM, not on your phone. The best way to avoid this is to just make sure you have the contacts on your SIM copied to the contact list on your phone, so the messages are saved in a way that doesn't cause this issue.

[Q] in low storage space notification can't receive sms?

anyone discover the problems can't receive sms when low storage space notified??
i happend twice can't get any sms in but im not sure whether is it cause by the low storage space because the latest happend was on low storage space...after i uninstall an app n restart...no more low storage notification thn all the sms coming in...
My girlfriend had this problem when she bought the phone last weekend.
Her old phone saved all her sms on the sim card. Are there any setting that allows you to change where you want to store sms. Now she can only recive 5 sms untill the simcard is full and she whants to save some old sms.
Avalable phone space is about 100mb at this time.
Sorry for my spelling.
