First of all I must do my congratulation to the authors of the site and also to all the community! This forum/site ROCKS !!!!
I bought an used XDA (O2 standard ENG ROM version) just 3-4 day ago, and thanks to the "how to" founded in these foums I've done successfully a ROM upgrade to the ppc2002 Italian ROM !
Now I was thinking to flash wm2003 ROM, but for the XDA1 the ROM are all in ENG and not ITA localized... here is my question:
I know that there is the qtek2020 Italian ROM with wm2003....
Is it possible to replace the wm2003 XDA1 ROM ENG files whit the italian lang files from the qtek2020 wm2003 ITA ROM ???
Basically the OS differences between XDA1 and XDA 2 are very few, so replacing the lang file (if it is possible) should not be a problem, right ?
The most important problem is how to extract and repalce these files, does anyone knows ??
While doing the ROM backup , I saw that this one was saved cluster by cluster (thanks to the dump), there is a method to extract these files , works on it and compress them again in a ROM format ??

Hi all, I searched around and I found dumprom, sorry for the prev. question, I had misunderstood the function of dumprom (I belived that it was useful to backup the ROM from the XDA memory and not to extract files from ROM) .
So,now I have another question.
Does anyone knows which files contains the language ??

Can you please help me? I have an IPAQ 614c but the OS is in Italian and i want to change it into English.
I've tried already with the latest FW ver on the support page at HP (English) with successful upgrade but the issue
is still the same.
Is there any World Wide ROM for this model? I'll appreciate if you provide me such one. Otherwise i'll be not able to use the device sad.gif

I think you can backup the english version and share it
I can do so with the Italian if someone needs it.
There are two options i think, the one is to make a key boot combination and to save the ROM on a SD and the other one is with a utility but for this somebody else has to share his experience.

Official EN rom. Windows Pro 6.0.
Dont forget to make the HP update, this rom is very old.

I am searching for a portuguese (portugal) ROM for an iPAQ 614c, it can be either 6.1 or 6.5 but i have no success finding it so I make a request to someone who can cook (translate) a ROM and upload it to the forums.
