I flashed to the 6.5 rom listed here and things were going okay. Lately Ive been having problems with the phone freezing and text messages not working as they should. I want to flash back to the 6.1 firmware however Im looking to still tether my phone so is there any way to get the Internet Sharing program on the device or something close to that wmifirouter didnt work too well for me. So any ideas on what could cause the problem in the first place or how to unlock the tethering on the 6.1 firmware.

Ever since I flashed my rom with the 4.00.10 I have not been able to get my old image back on it nor flash a different rom image. Have I totally messed this thing up? This is the error that I get...

Even though it connects with active sync just fine, it says it can't get connection type. How can I overcome this? I booted up to the bootloader diagnosis and tested the USB connection and it passed. I am a novice and should not have been messing with this and now I want my original rom back!
Please help me. What can I do to fix this problem on my XDA?

Whew! I read some more and discovered the very small step that I had missed all weekend. Everything works now except my GPRS connection. I will read some more to fix that! Thank goodness for this forum!!
So, I got this 6800 from a friend of mine along with a 6700 ( with a very bad battery ), figuring that I am going to develop software for 6.0 I went with the 6800 for the Rom Upgrade. I had the original Qwest Rom on here
Software Version 2.13.656.2
Firmware Version 1.39.00
I went ahead and followed the Ryan Mogul Cricket flash info ( yes i plan to flash this to cricket also ) however sadly before I installed his cricket ROM, i went ahead and followed the instructions for the NUERom2_5049 and after the flash ( done via laptop/activesync connection ), the phone seemed to be bricked. I tried every trick in the book from using the 1G MicroSD card that I have with the ROm on it ( considering the 4G wouldnt work at all ), and couldnt get anywhere.
I also tried flashing Sprint/Alltel/VZW Roms without success, I finally came across the Stock Rom ( Upgrade ) frm Qwest, ran it from Laptop, worked like a charm.
OK now for the questions... Here is some quick info about the new rom. It is Software Version 3.35.656.2, and the Firmware Version is 3.37.20 . At this point I am considering a couple of options.
1. leave the working rom on here and just play with the registry, settings, software, etc.. to get my goal accomplished.
2. Flash this thing over to Ryans Cricket Rom for Mogul ( Hey Ryan if you read this... Is that compatible with the Qwest Mogul?) and go ahead and start the service.
3. Custom Rom, and find a way to get the Cricket info in there.
Also I am using PRL1039 from CK right now, working like a charm so far, I am also wondering if this unit will work on cricket as is if I change some settings.
Just a few things im trying to figure out right now. Along with the ability to get the device to become a Portable Hotspot/ Wireless Adapter ( I now finally have this working as an internet connection....Laptop to PPC via USB Cable, PPC to Netgear Router via WiFi, and im online! Thanks a bunch for anyone with any suggestions, I look forward to seeing what I can do with this device. Also I have the SPL 1040, should I chance it for Cricket?

First thing you want to do is re-do your PST settings to Cricket as the stock ROM changed all of that. Including unlocking your MSL/SPC code to all zeroes and loading a Cricket PRL on there. Follow my Cricket PST settings thread for that. Then you want to remove your memory card and boot up your current ROM into windows mobile and connect to active sync. Make sure its connected you should be able to access the files on the device through your computer and sync icon in taskbar will be green.
Now flash the unlocked bootloader Olipro2.40 exe. You can find that in my htc unlock tools directory on my share site, link provided in my PST settings thread.
After that is all said and done you can flash any Custom ROM including mine. If you use my Cricket ROMs all you have to do is activate the data connection and enter your [email protected], password cricket, blank domain, check save password. Done.
If you use someone elses NON cricket ROM you can always use my Cricket WAP or WAP and Arcsoft CABs to set up the Cricket information for you. Hope this helps.
already redid the spl stuff, still cant seem to get the msl back to 000000 but i do have the correct one. Just got the unit working as a wireless adapter so thats a plus, i need to get this thing over to cricket next, so I can get my account set back up. right now using Skype for phone service sicne I have WiFi. I will try your rom again, Ryan , as soon as I get things going with this again. Thanks for the tips, they seem to be coming in very handy ( been googling your posts for help with this device ) I know the 6700 inside and out but the 6800 seems to be a new dog right now, been playign with it for a while, got alot figured out, but still more to learn. ok just to update a bit, ive made a few slight changes, got a few new accessories, and tweaked out a few settings, however, all this and i still havent gotten the MSL back to 000000. Any ideas at all, tutorials, walkthroughs, hits, tips, tricks, or otherwise step-by-step directions so i can get that back to 000000 insead of the 6 digit code it is now, then maybe *2/228 will work and i can actually use the data features. When I turning internet connection 2G or 3G phone freezing and I must to remove battery. I have tried many different custom ROMs with no success. Only one version works properly on my HD2 and it is stock ROM [cLK-Clean]_BOYPPC-CM7_Go EX_V43_(25.Aug). Please help me to resolve this.

Sounds like you might need to update to the newest radio 2.15

when I figure out that phone still not working properly I have decided do flash another ROM version: NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.0_NAND_(Android-2.3.5). But my Leo still freezing and I can't even configure it when 2G or 3G connection established. WiFi is working very good and this is only way to use internet in my LEO.
Maybe You have any other ideas how to resolve my problem ? Please

maybe updating to the newest clockwork would help 4.0.1.4 works really well on all roms i run and i do a lot
but the main culprit is THE APN settings
go into wireless settings>mobile networks>access point names (apn)
make sure you have the right settings in there for your provider
i remember when android first came to hd2 i had to input those setting every time i put a new rom in.
i dont know who ur provider is but it should be easy to find out the proper settings for it and then inputting them and saving
otherwise it could be your sim card
see how it goes ..... see what the apn settings are for boyppc and just copy them to other roms

I'm gonna check this settings. but in my opinion this is hardware issue. When phone is freezed - mainboard temperature is increasing. Sometimes I must wait until temperature decrease to normal becouse Android is not starting. It's stop on Go go go screen of MAGLDR.
When 2G or 3G connection is established I can download files or browse internet so I think that provider (T-mobile) settings are ok but as I mentioned I gonna check this out.

I agree when the phone overheats it freezes and turns off. Turning the phone on before letting it cool off will cause boot failure you're describing. Frequent overheating can ause the touchscreen to stop responding as well. It happened to my phone too, thank god it was under warranty. Since that day I stopped overclocking it.

I've been having a lot of trouble. I've managed to finally install WP7 on my HD2 but there are still some things its lacking. I followed a couple of guides, including upgrading the radio, HPSL4, MAGLDR 1.13, and finally wp7.
I can't seem to connect to my wifi connection or my 3G internet. This sorta makes everything else very difficult. Including unlocking other things.
any help would be appreciated. I'm a little unsure of the version of WP7 i'm using. If there is a really good one out there, let me know and i'll install that one instead.
also, is there a file manager in wp7?

another problem: the phone says it has very little memory
UPDATE: loading a different rom has fixed the problem with connecting to the internet but i still can't connect to the wifi.
I have another SD card i could use, but i don't really want to lose everything on it :S

you should of done a full install of wm 6.5. and flash task 29 hspl and etc. should fix your issues.

Does this work? I have the similar problem after I flashed any roms like 7740 or 8107, wifi works fine, but can't connect the 3G or EDGE as the radio hardware is 0.0.0.0，what can I do then?

Did anyone here find a solution to this problem of having radio 0.0.0.0 ? I have been working on this for a few days now and have not bee able to solve it. I also only get data for a few minutes and then it quits by itself. I have never been able to send or receive mms messages with Windows 7.5, I could do both with Windows 6.5. My phone recently wasn't getting any signal when i flashed to the ROM 4.4.2. So people said to flash back to the stock rom, i have now done that and the WiFi stopped working. I can't even download a ROM manager to try and load another ROM.
I think i've really messed up my phone. I want to wipe everything completely and start from new, then re try flashing to the latest ROM 4.4.2 so i can get my WiFi and Mobile Data working again. I can't get calls without it having a black screen / no sound. My phone keeps turning off every so often.
I think i've missed matched wrong Modems and Baseband Versions?
What information do you need exactly from my phone to give you to try and help? Really need my phone working for work purposes. I will give a donation to a person that helps me fix it completely. (paypa)
