[Q] Internet connectiviy issuses.

I've run a few searches on the forum already but none have yielded any results. I don't know if anyone else may be having the same issues but if you've had this issue please help me find the solution. I recently flashed my tmobile hd2 to nand using the cyanogen rom and it works like a charm... However my data connection seems to constantly lose connectivity within a few minutes. I have to toggle the 3G connection on and off and it revives the connection. I have a few theories but aren't sure these are the issuses. I was previously running a Leo rom with a radio that was 2.08 and hspl. I updated my phone with madglr 1.13 and used the most up to date cyanogen NAND rom. I wanna say that I might need to update my radio or hspl to get better Internet connectivity but then again I'm not tech savvy enough to say. Can someone please help me find a solution. Thanks!

Try updating to latest (2.15.50.14) Radio here:

Repost afterwards if the issue is there or not. It may not help, but it's always best to have the most up-to-date versions. I have used that build with no problems with this radio.
Boot into tri-colour screen, (phone off, hold vol-, press power). Then run the CustomRUU you downloaded in the radio.

Thanks MattOG your solution has seemed to have solved the problem. I tested the new radio by streaming Netflix on my laptop while on tethering the connection. It worked out pretty well.

htc touch hd problem with wifi

hello guys, I have a HTC Touch HD and I have a problem with wifi networks .. I flashed the 'hardspl 1:56 el' axlor 6.1 as in the guide, but I'm not the most research of networks (not see any network) I tried to put all the radios, but nothing ... not even manually entering the keys wpa or freeing up the network I can not connect ... I tried to restore everything, but the problem persists ... can anyone give me a hand?

My wifi connects to networks but the phone doesn`t browse the internet.I`m sure it has something to do with some setings but I don`t know what.Can anyone help?

without further information it is impossible to help you. what kind of network is it, how is it encrypted? what rom/radio rom are you running? is it your private network? do you have the key for it? what are your settings that you suspect of making it not work for you?

It`s a student public network on my faculty.It`s open for everyone to use.And they use it without any "encription" or password.
Bought my phone used.I guess it was all set to work, but I installed some rubish I couldn`t delete...rest of it you can predict.
I returned my phone to factory setings, and since then wifi doesn`t work.Everything else works.

ok, that is something to work with. your rom is not a shipped one, and from the version number, i can't tell, who cooked it and how old it is. however, it might be a common bug of that rom that wi-fi doesn't work properly. also, your radio is fairly uncommon, most people these days use the latest radio 1.17.29, which can be found on the forum. remember to perform a hard reset after flashing another rom or radio rom. in general, one can assume, that, once you flashed a shipped rom and the latest radio, the software on the phone is as it should be, and if wi-fi doesn't work then, it might actually be physically broken.

[Q] Help!! No service!

- I'm on Imilka's GB vivo (ported from mdj vivo for des hd)
- I'm using radio 2.15.50.14
- I live in the netherlands
- My network provider is KPN Hi (no data plan, only using Wi-Fi)
Yes, I've searched for this problem already, found 2 different threads, both with (more or less) the same problem, both without solution, so I thought "let's try this again"
two days ago, I took my phone and started to play some games, listen to music etc. just like I do normally, but then I got a pop-up saying "no service". I tried to connect to my network in settings, but then it said my sim-card didn't allow my to connect to KPN. I tried different roms (all android nand) and radios, but without succes. Yesterday I tried putting winmo on it again, then it worked. SD android also worked for some reason. Well I really want Android, and I really love those sense 3.0 parts like lockscreen and rosie, and I definitely want gingerbread sense, but there aren't any of those SD builds.
Do I really have to go back to winmo with a SD build?

You can try this:
go to Dialer and press: *#*#4636#*#*
Then go to Phone infomation, select: WCDMA preferred
press Refresh than Update and Toggle DNS check (0.0.0.0 allowed)
reboot

Do you have a rom that did work? if so you can try this:
Extract the libhtc_ril.so and the libril.so and replace the ones that you have in the rom and then try again. I would replace it by pushing it into the rom and then reboot, you might need to fix permissions if it doesnt work the first time. Thats what controls the communication between the radio and the cell towers.

Hmm I don't think this will work...
first because I haven't found a working nand so far (only sd) and second because I'm a NAND Android user since it came out, but this is the first time with this problem...
And I've done fix permissions already about 20-30 times =C
I tried putting the SIM card into my sisters phone too, she had full service. The weird part is that I also put my mothers SIM card in my phone earlier, and I had full service, WEIRD. So I thought at first it was my provider's problem, because Vodafone works perfectly good, but then my sister came with her full service...

I already did task29 and its not because of contract because Im on winmo now, and I do have service all the time..

i got exactly the same Problem. in Android no Service. WMO works well all the Time. if i set to gsm only i got network connection for 1 minute or so. Any hints???

i flashed a RUU to went Back to WMO Stock. -> Wireless Service works well.
next step i installed MAGLDR113 and ClockWork Recovery
Next i flashes this ROM:

Now i got stable Wireless Service Connection. Only 2g but stable till now.
We should gather some Infos to find simularitys between Phones having this Problem:
HTC HD2 LEO EU-Version

16GB Micro-SD Card 15GB fat32, 1gb ext4 for App2SD
T-Mobile DE
MAGLDR 1.13
Another thing i see on my Phone. If i deactive the PIN-Code and restart the Phone i got network Connection with 3G for about 5 seconds. So it seems there is something which kills the 3g Connection on Boot.

I have the same problem. Had it with my phone a while back and sent it in for repairs to HTC (for freezing issue). Got another back and it worked fine for awhile. But now I'm getting the temporary no signal issue. Only solution I have found is to turn on airplane mode and turn it off.
Also, I have been able to receive text messages when I have "no signal" but cannot send them.

As I mentioned above. I have Android ROM (Typhoon_3.5.9-MAGLDR) on my Leo and I think its great. But I have problem with internet connection on it. When I turning internet connection 2G or 3G phone freezing and I must to remove battery. I have tried many different custom ROMs with no success. Only one version works properly on my HD2 and it is stock ROM [cLK-Clean]_BOYPPC-CM7_Go EX_V43_(25.Aug). Please help me to resolve this.

Sounds like you might need to update to the newest radio 2.15
Check what radio you have right now

4. ROM TyphooN_CM7_v3.5.9-MAGLDR
when I figure out that phone still not working properly I have decided do flash another ROM version: NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.0_NAND_(Android-2.3.5). But my Leo still freezing and I can't even configure it when 2G or 3G connection established. WiFi is working very good and this is only way to use internet in my LEO.
Maybe You have any other ideas how to resolve my problem ? Please

hmm
maybe updating to the newest clockwork would help 4.0.1.4 works really well on all roms i run and i do a lot
but the main culprit is THE APN settings
go into wireless settings>mobile networks>access point names (apn)
make sure you have the right settings in there for your provider
i remember when android first came to hd2 i had to input those setting every time i put a new rom in.
i dont know who ur provider is but it should be easy to find out the proper settings for it and then inputting them and saving
otherwise it could be your sim card
see how it goes ..... see what the apn settings are for boyppc and just copy them to other roms

I'm gonna check this settings. but in my opinion this is hardware issue. When phone is freezed - mainboard temperature is increasing. Sometimes I must wait until temperature decrease to normal becouse Android is not starting. It's stop on Go go go screen of MAGLDR.
When 2G or 3G connection is established I can download files or browse internet so I think that provider (T-mobile) settings are ok but as I mentioned I gonna check this out.

I agree when the phone overheats it freezes and turns off. Turning the phone on before letting it cool off will cause boot failure you're describing. Frequent overheating can ause the touchscreen to stop responding as well. It happened to my phone too, thank god it was under warranty. Since that day I stopped overclocking it.

Hi, i just got HD2 and never used before. So im not quite familier with this but i dug enough information and flashed my device with NAND Nexusone ROM. My HSPL are2.08, magldr 1.3 and radio is 2.15. Everything is working great except that i cant turn on data connection. The wifi works good to and i can access internet with wifi only. I put the correct apn but i can not have data connection over celluler network. Should i change radio version ? or simply the android rom ? if i change radio version, do i hav to install the android rom again ?Please help me
