Tweak for TP2 - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Hi All,
Can someone help me with an application for the tp2 to tweak such as Diamond Tweak which you can switch the automatic keypad lock and hide some stuff.
Im looking for such application and especially to make the auto lock for the keypad other than s2u.
Thanks

Welcome to the forums!
If you have a quick look around you'll find references to many tweak applications. I suggest that you look at the "software worth installing" sticky here and the cabs, tips and tweaks thread in the Rhodium / General branch.

Hi:
I too am looking for something like Diamond Tweaks. Is anything available for Rhodium? I did of course check out the software to install thread, and have searched around, while I did find tons of good info, I have not found an app which performs multiple tweaks like Diamond Tweaks (or prior to that Kaiser Tweaks).
Am I just looking in the wrong place? The closest I have found is for the Topaz, but it seems people are having problems using it on the Rhodium. I am also looking for something like Diamond TF3D config. Anything available?
Thanks!

TP2 Tweak
I have never been a fan of "ME TOO" Forum messages, and in fact, messages that ask the same questions over and over are one of the reasons I don't like forums that much... but it seems I can SUBSCRIBE only to a thread I have contributed to, and the TweakTP2 utility that doesn't yet exist would be a GREAT addition to my life...
My contribution; While hAndyUtils has a Pro2 specific utility with SOME tweaks, it isn't quite as full as the DiamondTweak I used to use.

Yeah, me too, lol
Forum gets a little circular when the same questions pop up again and again cos peeps can't be bothered doing a simple search.
In fact, if you can't search you probably shouldn't be tweaking. You'll only break your phone and the come back and fail to search for an answer to your self inflicted problem, starting the whole boring loop again.
Wasn't it Black Flag who released the album "Stupid people shouldn't breed" ?
Edit : Sorry, it was Skatenigs

I was actually thinking of petitioning this as well. I am currently using HD Tweaks and TD2 Tools, but as they are made for different phones some things don't work properly. If I use TD2 Tools I get the opton for "TF3D Rotation" which I actually hate. If it is activated then Touch Flow rotation becomes accelerometer activated and it is WAYYY too sensitive rotating when I so much as sneeze. If it I turn it off then when I open the keyboard it rotates but I can't actually SEE TF3D, only the windows bar on top and below where TF3D should be. A tweak app specifically for the TP2/Rhodium would avoid this kind of conflicts. Hopefully I hope it is made eventually. It'd be a great help for those who want to do some tweaking either in an easy manner without having to dig out a registry tweaker and have to look up the correct values and for those who are somewhat newbies and prefer a "safer" method that is easy to undo.

try this one
http://htcpedia.com/htc_touch_pro2_rhodium_settings_too/soft/rhodium-apps

HD Tweak works quite well for me.
Same goes for Advanced Config.
These are all the tweaking tools I really need for my TP2.

Dear Hermes Chefs, has anyone cooked the cLaunch into a rom yet ?

Edited
Howdy,
I have seen all of the threads on the subject, and seen the proggy, and know the sensitivity around all this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289523
However, it obviously makes sense for someone to cook it so that the iphone looking front end is cooked into a good rom with the stability of a
schraps, or a black satin, etc.
I have tried setting it up separately, but I am a newbie, and have bricked 1 hermes already trying reset it after I screwed it up.
Has this not happened because of the sensitivity on the matter or something else?
Again looking for rom load that uses the apple looking screen already cooked to a rom for a hermes (HTC wm6)
Thanks in advance
obiviously I am referring to the fornt end picture per this url
http://mobilecrunch.com/wp-content/iPhone1.jpg
Claunch is a today plugin that launches applications. Why do you need it cooked in ?! What you're showing in your picture is a regular iPhone. What are you talking about exactly ?
Making the hermes look like an iphone
sorry
What I was trying to say is that they have the skins now to make the hermes (or I guess any wm6 phone) look like an iphone.
But I find the apps/skins not the easiest thing to use/get right/tweak.
Launch on start up etc.
So what I was trying to spit out was has anyone cooked the proggy/skin that does this into a rom so it doesn't to be tweaked.
cheers
I dont understand why this Iphone home screen suppose to be such good think.
The most important thinks that I need in my first look would be my appointments, outstanding task etc. Iphone screen just provides shortcuts for some applications. Well I may not get really what is it about.
Anyhow you can do such thing without any issues and any special rom. what you need is the Iphone icons (I am sure there are hundreds in the web) then the wisbar advance Desktop.
Iphone looking launch screen
Thanks Bulldog.
Love it or hate it, the simplicity of the iphone, skin, is it is good looking and functional.
It is also the benchmark that all other phones will be measured against for a long time (as the phone has not arrived outside the US yet).
Thanks for your tip but wisbar is not quite slick enough.
There are others but they too are not quite right.
I am sure someone has cooked it all in one.
It wouldn't be worth cooking claunch into rom. It's a tiny app, and the pleasure of it is customising it to launch the apps you want to launch.
I've written several guides for claunch, hunt around. But it's a simple app.
What might be useful is if someone makes an all-in-one iphone-alike pack. And those probably do exist. Burning claunch into ROM wouldn't be very helpful.
V
all-in-one iphone-alike pack
Any direction you can point thee would be appreciated .. thanks

Try to get this as a sticky---Best apps for different uses

This forum has a lot of information and a lot of input and applications and downloads. I recently started coming here a few weeks ago and little by little have gotten through quite a few threads and downloaded some amazing stuff. However, it's been difficult at best and quite slow and tedious and I know there is still lots of stuff I'm missing.
What I was thinking is how it would be great if we had one unified post that summarized and organized some of the most popular applications that are available here. Something like:
Best Music Players
--HTC Audio manager
--Mort Player
--etc.
Best Browser
--Opera Mini
--Picsel
--Skyfire
--etc.
Best locking program
--S2U2
--etc.
and so on, with the download links next to them. This would make referencing certain applications easy to find and download for all from various threads. With a few people in charge to moderate the thread, updates could easily be done as people post as they arrive or to alert others and then subsequently deleted.
I'm not sure if this has been brought up or attempted before, but I wanted to throw it out there. Please feel free to close or lock this thread if necesssary mods.
I would also add that some polls could be set up initially to identify some of these key applications to set up a "standard" list of applications that most users here should at least be familiar with and/or have on their devices.
Thanks and hope this idea helps out others if it's put forth.

Sorry, but before this thread becomes very crowded and yet another "must have" list that gets lost in the realms of the web: Wouldn't it be better to do this in the XDA-Wiki?
Here's a good starting point.
A sticky hint might be a good idea, though, you've got to scroll the Wiki main page for a while to find it...

Thank you. That's exactly the type of format I'm looking for. I didn't want everyone to just come and start posting their favorite programs but instead to have ONE post that combined them all. I just don't know enough of them and haven't been around long enough to even begin to compile it.
That wiki page looks great. I just hope someone that has a little time and the desire to do this could pull it off. I just don't have either nor the knowledge to put out something that would be helpful. Thanks for the reply.

We should have official polls on what are the best apps for each category.
That way, the best of the best will show themselves and those who are not yet enlightened, WILL be.
It will also clear up arguments and let popularity decide.

Registry Tweeks....

Excuse me if this has already done the rounds or there is already a resource which accomplishes the same...
It would be great if we had a resource that included all the common registry tweeks in one place so that a quick scan through could find solutions to common problems that can be resolved with a simple registry tweek.
I invite you to add tweeks that you have found useful & would like to share....

Let me be the first say this now before this thread (or you) get flamed hard. There are way too many communities/forums/devices out there, conisisting of way too many stock and cooked roms. When it comes to reg tweaking, it's best to use the search feature here, (which is strongly recommended and encouraged).

Perfect just what I was after !!

Thanks for that.
How about tweaks to change how bluetooth is handled by different apps.
Appears that many of the available ROMs handle bluetooth differently & I'm assuming that this is largely due to registry settings. Does anyone have the low down on controlling the way the phone hands back control to audio manager after a call?

TouchHDTweak - Any interest?

Hi, I'm a proud owner of a Sony Ericsson X1, and the developer of XperiaTweak (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=440035).
You can see the features of this application if you go to my website:
http://www.cliffords.nu
I've recieved some E-mails from people who are trying to use this application on a TouchHD, but that will currently fail (since it's developed for the X1), so I'm just wondering if there's any interest here for a special TouchHDTweak - version of my application? I don't have a TouchHD myself, but if there's enough interest I can try and develop a version for TouchHD and maybe get some help here when it comes to beta-testing it.
I think you would be a star in all our eyes for developing a version for HD. Please do go ahead. I know I will speak for all owners.
I would be very interested.
Would be very interested here too I'm sure there are a whole host of things to unlock about the HD architecture
I would love a TouchHD tweak! Right now I'd using Schap's Advanced Configuration tool 3.3 and the Diamondtweak program.
I really wish the ROM guys would get cooking too.
+1 please
HD tweak would be great!
Not to decry this generous offer from someone who has already been instrumental in what appears to be a successful porting of Panels from the Xperia, but i think before putting nelshh to a shed-load of extra work we should check to make sure the functionality he is proposing isn't already available in exisiting apps.
I haven't done anything more than a cursory assessment, but it looks like a number of the features of the Xperia Tweak are already available through existing TF3D and Diamond Configurators that mostly work fine on the HD. For example, some of what I spotted on the Xperia Tweak site is in Advanced Configurator. Other elements may not be appropriate to the HD.
So personally, i would suggest caution and that someone with a little more time than I have right now looks to compare the Xperia Tweak tool with exisiting tools.
Nelshh, do you have a complete feature list for your Tweak?
iain.fraser: you're absolutely right, There's some different apps that already does what my application is doing and more, but the idea behind my application is basically simplicity, such as a small number of the most asked for tweaks, and in addition device specific tweaks (such as the LED and Panel-tweaks for X1). And I'd be more than happy to write something for the TouchHD! If there's interest and if it finds it's own place amongst the other tools.
Really Interested too and I can help you (as soon as I've got the device) with the testing!
+1, It would be nice to have this at HD.

how many +'s are we allowed to give I would give +100 if my vote counts that many times

Default WinMo keyboard gone on T-Mobile TouchPro2 with 6.5 download

I just installed Windows Mobile 6.5 onto my T-Mobile TouchPro2. Now, the old, default windows mobile on-screen keyboard is gone. I know I'm probably one of the last people in the world who still uses it, but I use it because it doesn't take up a lot of screen room and I use the stylus a lot anyway for a lot of my applications.
Does anyone know how to get this keyboard back? Is there a cab file somewhere of the default windows mobile 6.1 keyboard I can download? If it's not possible, does anyone know of another option for a keyboard that is meant to be used for the stylus and is relatively small?

google "tmobile touch pro 2 screen keyboard sip" search search search before u post
I did the search you suggested to dshersze --"tmobile touch pro 2 screen keyboard sip" and all that came up is this page. I can confirm that the standard windows mobile keyboard has been removed from T-Mobile's latest ROM, and I've done a good bit of searching online without finding a .CAB for that ol' standard keyboard, or a way to tweak T-Mobile's new WM 6.5 ROM to activate it. So dshersze's questions seems reasonable, and not deserving of a "search before u post" admonition. akademik_acheeba, if you know where there's a page that explains how to fix this issue, could you post a link to it?
Thanks, Alan

p.s. what ROM are you using? is it the official TMo that came out today(not the leaked) or are you using one of the xda chefs? if it is from xda then this question belongs in that ROMs thread.
I am not missing my onscreen keyboard in the 6.5 TMOUS ROM, it is there as it has always been, maybe you shoudl reflash
I can confirm that the default WM Keyboard(the one that looks like a full keyboard and is really only suitable for stylus input or for people with microscopic fingers) is absent from the new 6.5 update (both leaked and official). To check this, pull up your SIP and enter the input options menu.
Here is what I use along with my options...
Thanks for the screenshots- they show that you do not have the SIP in question either. My guess is that someone decided that it wasn't a popular input method, however, I can see where this might be a preferred keyboard for stylus intensive input or for access to keys not found in most SIPs.
The T-Mobile 6.1 *Official* ROM called this SIP "Keyboard", and on the 6.5 *Official* ROM it has been replaced by "Transcriber" which on 6.1 was found under "Other Input Methods".
I wish people wouldn't be so eager to attack a legitimate posting without a clear understanding of what is being addressed. I think that most of us make a genuine attempt at searching for answers prior to creating a thread, but it seems like there are some that are just waiting to pounce without hesitation to accuse someone of not following forum rules. Give me a break, I know that not everyone here is an adult, but attacking someone with the insinuation that they did not do a proper search seems to have become far too common and does nothing to help anyone. Why not assume that a thorough search has already been attempted and rather than providing an admonishment and a slew of links (that I doubt had anything to do with the issue at hand) provide a reasonable explanation or solution along with those links? In my opinion, this is what these forums are for: a valuable resource of information and advice.

Score one for civility. We must remember that not everyone speaks English as a first language. In addition you can't search for something if you don't know the key words to look for. Everyone describes his/her issue differently. Just look at how akademik changed the terms he suggested when he posted his links. It seems that it would have been easier and better for the forum, if someone had simply posted a link to the solution. On another note, it is a great idea to use tags when creating new threads.

I agree with Treo, points for civility. Especially because the other guy who attacked the OP didn't even post any links relevant to what the OP was looking for. All I saw in those links were Finger Keyboards, and HTC keyboards.
OP wants the default WINMO 6.0/6.1 keyboard, with the tiny keys that, while only good for use with a stylus, is excellent for odd symbols. Like | for messing with the Manilla Weather editors.
Unfortunately I don't have information for the OP, as it seems likely that as many people have not liked that keyboard, support for it is all but gone.
The new keyboard function "Swype" has a pretty good symbol list to choose from.
Here's the thread for the TP2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=597337
I guess I did have some info after all... I guess that's something.
as much as i help people on here via posts or pm's, no one knows how to use the search dropbox at the top or even google their issue to see if other wm sites have info on it. you heard about xda from tmo.com and now you come here for everyone to magically solve all your issues. all you people want is to point, click, download, install and be on your merry way...so stop being lazy, people here spend alot of time developing and perfecting things and if one lil issue goes wrong then yall complain. google what you want, and help others. as i see you guys posted here and not one of you have helped the issue but rather complained that i said search...oh well ill say it again...SEARCH
I like Swype, but anther decent SIP that I think is well worth trying is Finger Keyboard. One problem I have had is that some 3rd party SIPs will prevent my Rhodium from booting forcing hard-reset, but both Swype and Finger Keyboard work fine. One feature that I like in Finger Keyboard is the ability to assign text to a key such as an email address or password and it can switch between different languages without leaving the panel.
A way to bring back the default keyboard ...
Check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4843610. It requires a registry hack, but it does work.
I'm not sure why no one likes a stylus anymore, but I prefer the precision that it buys me as well as the ability to draw on the screen. The old keyboard also has a CTRL key which allows me to cut and pasted from any application (even those without a press-and-hold context menu). I don't understand the desire to emulate the iPhone with capacitive touch screens but poor precision. If I wanted an iPhone, I would have bought one.

LOL! Spot on!
This is brilliant. You don't want to know how long I've been looking for a way to get the old keyboard back! Everyone seems to want keyboards that are bigger and can be used without a stylus - but I hate having the keyboard take over more than half my screen. This is an elegant solution! Thank you for posting it!
Edit - Rats! It says it can't initialize SIP CLSIDs for stylus status. Does the TP2 not have any way of telling whether the stylus is in or not? Grrr. So close, but I guess I have to keep on searching...

Looking for small Stylus friendly Keyboard
have an HTC Touch Diamond 2 with WM6.5. Since I have it I am not happy with the big keybord. Using the stylus very often, even with the big keyboard. But this takes so much space, even on my old Touch Cruise with QVGA I have more space thanks to the small keyboard.
How and where can i get a working CAB with the small keyboard from WM6.1 ?
Think it must be that in this picture.
