T-mobile wing

I have t-mobile wing, I want upgrade to russian non-oficial wm6. I installed Hard spl. But I can not install Russian WM6 (Error 244 INVALID MODEL ID). How to me to install Russian WM6?

Please help me!

Error 244 INVALID MODEL ID. How i can change Model iD or install system with skip of test of the model, vendor, itc.

First of all, if no one has answered, it's because either no one was online, or the people who were, did not know the answer to your question.
If you intalled HardSPL, you should be able to install whatever rom you want on your device, so I don't understand why you're having that problem.
You can try using USPL, in order to bypass the CID lock.

What number was your SPL before you installed? If it was 1. something, then you bricked your device. If it was 4.x then you're probably trying to install an official RUU into the HardSPL device. HardSPL looks for HERA**** and most official RUU's will be something like HERA100. If it's a Herald RUU, please link it here.

We should report the SPL 1xx problem to whoever made the USPL (POF I think) and see what he has to say about it... maybe he can solve the problem.

and for flashing your mobile.. you have to do the following:
1. unlock your mobile by USPL [don't flash any rom without this step]
2.pick a rom you think it's the best for you
and finally while sycronizing run the update utility which are in the folder of the rom you picked.
and that's all

Now i have one question is logically to unlock cid in my device because my device work with every sim card's can i only update rom without cid unlocking with uspl......my device: Ipl 3.13.0001, spl 3.13.0000, gsm 02.94.90, os .13.0.0.0 wich rom you prefer without cid unlocking...thnx.....

you can only flash original htc rom if you don't unlock the device
cid unlocking is not sim unlocking and has nothing to do with sim or provider,it just removes some locks regarding the operating system
generally there are hard spl (uspl) and jump spl (or soft)
hard spl - cid unlocks the device permanently
jump spl - enables you to flash only one rom (for further usage you have to do the process again...but it doesn't matter right now)
only hard spl (uspl) is developed for artemis and is working like charm
i flashed few artemises many times and all works great

i'm affraid that you'll have to unlock it because unlocking is NOT required only for flashing original rom provided by htc specially for your device... in your case htc can provide you only FRE rom
so to flash WWE rom you'll have to unlock it
don't be afraid of doing that...thousands did it before you without any damage to the phone
unlocking is far better than bricking ( state where your device is unusable because of flashing other rom than the original ---bricking is in most cases reversible ,but don't play with it)
still i have to say "use at your own risk"

i used...my dad still uses artemis 4.02 rom by meschle...very good rom,has everything needed and lot of free memory...
i can't recommend any newer rom because i haven't tested any but you can always test it yourself

Hej I have some problems with my p3300
it just freezes sometimes and after half a minute or something
the display slowly becomes black
I want to install wm6 on it and hoped this might help something but
when i run the uspl and it starts running my device freezes again I think
(it gives a weird red green display) and is disconnected from my pc
I have no idea what is wrong or what I can do about it

Artemis failed hard reset

Hi folks,
It never happened to me but i have an Artemis that failed hard reset before the end of the process.
It is not CID unlock so I need an official ROM
I could still see some menus before the reset and I’m pretty sure that is WM5 WWE though WM6 is also welcomed.
I tried one rom stated as official and the update process fails at 3% with a FLASH Write Error.
I need some GURU help with a full proof official Rom (or one that allows me to unlock the cid) so I can troubleshoot other malfunction.

if your artemis is htc ( not o2,dopod or any) go to www.htc.com
and register your artemis in e club and you'll get latest rom for it
or if it's o2 or such go to their page and do the same thing
or....you can go here ...read manual and download the cid unlocker (uspl) and flash *any* rom
*artemis rom

the only download available for this model is a messenger fix

hmm...they did an overhaul and removed "my downloads" from e-club...so you can go to wiki and search for shipped roms for which you won't need uspl
you can also unlock it and flash other roms

Help needed for Upgrade...

I have an O2 XDA Orbit and I need to upgrade that to WM6.1, currently I have WM6.0 Pro running on it....i have been reading threads relating to the upgrade but i rather got confused...i really need somebody to explain me the following please:
1. Can my phone be upgraded to WM6.1?
2. If yes then how can I do this in a secure way without risking my phone?
I would really appreciate your efforts...Oh just in case you might need the info, I've detailed my "Device Information" below:

1. Yes, your phone can be upgraded to WM 6.1

Windows Mobile and radio builds have different serial numbers, you'll never have the same .Just choose what you like the most.. Obviously your device MUST be CID unlocked first. Take time to read a little bit..I can't flash it for you from my home
P.S: Our device is very versatile but not so powerful (low ram & cpu), I suggest to choose a ROM that doesnt have useless heavy graphic complications..No "cubes" nor "manillas" or whatsoever...It may look pretty but quite unusable, but this is just an opinion

Radio upgrade is optional (theoretically) but if never done , i suggest to do it. Can greatly improve gsm ,wifi, gps reception and battery consumption. Anyway as you can see I'm only a normal member of this forum (with a bit of experience), don't take what i say as gold!

oh ok...so the thread u mentioned for the ROM upgrade der were like 15-20 upgrades one said : WM6 from Orbit English 3.4.207.1 02.69.90 4.1.13.28 17745.0.2.3....is this for upgrade frm WM6.0 to WM6.1 or WM5.0 to WM6.0?
and then there are some which goes by the name of WM6.1 B&B v5.0, PDAVIET WM6.1, Greasy Weasel Evolution 2.x, Mossi meets Anja31 v1, Fredelius WM6.1 so which one shud i go for???

As you can see from my signature, my ROM is in italian, i'm afraid you're not interested in..otherwise i would recommend it straight away (even if its already 1.5 years old..).I'm extremely happy with it, tried many others (included pdaviet 6.5) and quickly returned to it. There is no "the best rom of all", each one has pros and bugs..must try and try again...The general rule in my opinion is to look for a light,clean updated Windows build that includes the latest patches (e.g. for bigger memcards, for camera,bluetooth etcetera). No need to look for a ROM that expressely says it's for Orbit...just choose a WM6 or 6.1 from Artemis section

It was a pleasure, no big deal..I understand that at the beginning one's little bit scared and has many doubts...that is why I insist that you DO READ CAREFULLY instructions and the forum in general..A couple of last hints: CID unlocking i necessary only ONCE, after that you can flash all the coocked roms you want. If I'm not wrong, radio upgrade doesnt need CID unlocking, you can do it before all operation without risk nothing. CIAO

No it isnt i have a different network SIM then O2 in the phone for abt 2 years...if tht is wht u mean by SIM locked??

It is not the very latest build but I rembember it was woking very well. Obviously,i'd choose the NON CUBE version

oh thx as a matter of fact i have downloaded the same ROM wid the cube before u mentioned abt it ...and yeh it looked good lets c how it works

before CID unlocking my phone i tried to update the Radio ROM but when i pressed update it showed me da current ROM version and the version it will be which was 1.00.00000 however i downloaded the 3.34.90...anyways i continued and after 79% it gave me an error[290] saying the image was corrupted...den i downloaded the ROM from a different link and the same problem...any idea whts goin on??

YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK phone before upgrading the radio aswell, I've just read it at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_RadioUpgrades, it says "You need to flash Artemis USPL before flashing these radios, for more info refere to the USPL thread". Cmon man!! take a little time to read!

well lemme tell u im running vista on my laptop but then i have a PC which is has XP...i've tried on both its the same error...after trying to update the Radio ROM i tried the CID Unlock...after the DOS process the phone screen goes blank and den the tri color screen appears which eventually installs the ROM to unlock but then again its the same error as earlier wid the Radio ROM upgrade

I believe the HD2 is locked to the O2 in the UK and it is still have the very old 1.48 rom and I would like to upgrade to the latest 1.66 but when I try to download the rom from the HTC site it said the rom is not for my phone after I enter my Serial Number.
So, any one know which SN i need in order to download the 1.66 rom in English WWE? Also, what do I need to install the rom with my O2 locked HD2? I am sure even if I have the rom the upgrade won't let me because it is locked to O2 UK. Please help!
All I want is to make my HD2 better (than the stupid Iphone)

I've already tried and downloaded it using a different serial. The updater then prevents you from flashing as it checks the serial prior to flashing.
Your best bet is to flash using a ROM in the ROM forum section.

mh....changing rom isnt very difficult..
but: i would only do, if really needed.
i'm also using 1.48 and i don't wanna change since an official rom supports landscape manila.
but if you want, do this:
choose the right S/N here and download your ROM.
when you've got it, you need to install HSPL first.
all about HSPL is written in this thread.
after installing hspl successfully, you can run the RUU.exe, which you downloaded from htc.com .
but think about it carefully...it could void your warranty
but all about that in hspl thread.

Instal HSPL2 from the HSPL/HSPL2 thread in rom development. (It is fully reversable, your warranty is only temporarily void)
Then go to the Leo Official Roms thread in rom development, first post, first link, brings up a list of folder
1.42
1.48
1.66
etc etc
Look in the 1.66 folder for one with 'HTC' and 'WWE' in the title (world wide english and HTC unbranded)
Download it, and with your phone connected to usb, run the exe you downloaded.
THis WILL of course reset your phone completely, so be sure and back up your data first.

guys I didn't need HSPL when I updated. I was using the stock ROM, then I downloaded the official 1.66 ROM from this forum (coz my serial gave an invalid error on HTC website). I just connected with USB and ran activesync/windows mobile device manager and ran the .exe file of the update.

so your leo wasn't "branded".
where did you buy it?
