can't install call record - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

diamond 2
ACR won't run without netcfsetup
NETCFSetup v35 wont install and says to install from within application.
application wont start without net cf
If I try opennetcf from acr folder it says there is no app associated open app first, but it wont open without net cf.
Should I just give up?

you need to install .NET from the PC using activesync.

How to disable install/remove app on ActiveSync?

Hi guys!
Every time I connect my Jamin to pc it starts ActiveSync and the install/remove app pannel appears... (with all the app installed on my Jamin!)
Is it possible to disable the startup of applications install/remove?
Strange, that shouldn't be happening, unless there is an app set to install on next sync.
Any way try this little tweak app:
http://pocketpcapps.net/activetweak.aspx
it has a tweak to disable app manager.
I install an app (.exe) whern my Jamin was DISCONNECT.... after, I copy the cab files in a different dir (in order to install the cab file later!) and I remove the installation with the std WINXP way (add/remove programs!)....
I'm using this way when I download the exe installation... I like the cab file so I can install it up without ActiveSync...
Well, that explains it. Uninstalling the app on your PC doesn't delete it from AS. Now it's looking for the cab. I am not sure how to remove the installation, but if you put the cab back and let AS finish its job the problem should go away.

problem installing Power Toys for .NET CF 3.5

I ran/installed .NET cf 3.5 from the microsoft website into my phone's main memory and it said installation was complete. Then I try to run/install Power Toys from the microsoft website and it says I have to install .NET cf 3.5 first. Why is this happening? I can't figure it out and can't find the solution anywhere.
In case this helps, this is the process I went through. I saved the .NET cf 3.5 installer into my desktop, then ran/installed it into my phone. It asked if I want to save it in my device or storage card, and I chose device. It then installed successfully. I never had to transfer any cab files (is this where I went wrong?? I don't see any cab files to transfer). When I explore the files in my phone, I don't see any icon I can tap to run .NET cf 3.5 (do I have to do so to officially install it??)
I'm all confused...help
You have install it, but you're windows is still using the build in 2.0 (it's a reg key), try the cab in attachement (.net configurator) it will change the key for you forcing app to use the v3.5 and after restart i think you could install your power toys, but why ? could you tell me .
PS: you don't have to launch .net, the app that needs it use it without telling you.

Hey, thanks for replying. The net configurator cab you're talking about is actually a smart part of the Power Toys file I'm trying to download, so I don't understand why it says I have to "install .net cf 3.5 first", even though I've already installed it and my phone says I have both v2 and v3.5. I dunno, I actually hard resetted my phone and will try again later, ha.
Use a cooked rom, if you have hard reset take the time to flash all the cooked rom here have 3.5 inside and 2.0 out, it speed up windows and most of all apps.

Is not a valid pocketpc application

I downloaded a lot of windows pocketpc applications for my Xperia and none of the worked... The following message comes up: "Is not a valid pocketpc application"
I had a lot of 2003, windows 5, and 6 applications, and games and they cant install or open!
How can I fix this?
RE:
Did you just copy the applications straight to your Xpreia then run the files? If so, you need to run most pocket apps on a PC first, then when you connect your Xperia to a PC then a window will pop up showing you the applications that need to be installed onto your Xperia. This is all Automatic, as long as you have installed the Phone onto your PC.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, that's the only real stupid crap on WM.
I could install any app on Symbian right on phone.
Why the hell they don't make all .CAB's??
I understand with big files, but with 100kB thing is plain stupid,
the whole idea of mobility dies with this.
P.S. I also have some apps like that, so what do I do?
Install it first on PC? And than what, uninstall it after installing on phone??
If you have it "install" on your pc only, it always leaves a .cab file somewhere to be downloaded to your phone later. That's how I extracted the CAB files from the executables I have anyway.
99% of apps can be obtained as cab. Only few I had to install manually (ie there was no CAB or PC EXE installer).
Most are avaialble also aso PC exe, but if someone bothers with EXE installer, he usually has CAB too (in fact he has to, since the PC installation shows some funky windows and then it simply copies the CAB to WM device).
Which is also where you can get the CAB. Unpack the EXE installer (very often possible, Total Commander can do that for example), locate the CAB inside it, and install the CAB manually.

So you had plain luck,
50% of the apps which I want are these f**n .exe. Without any .CAB inside.
But I still didn't get how is the standard operation from PC.
What do I do first? Install the .exe on my computer and than connect phone? And what than?
sync your mobile with activeSync, install the application through pc, activeSync will start the installation on your mobile
Connect the phone to the PC via ActiveSync.
Run the exe on the PC. It installs on PC and copies the cab installer to the phone via ActiveSync. The phone should start the installation automatically.
I still wonder .. what applications are those ?

Great, thanks guys for replies.
I assume while installing I can choose the place of installation (phone/card....)
P.S. Can the .cab installer stay on device, for quick reinstall after upgrade?
Or you have to connect to PC again?

question .net compact framework

Hi
I have an question, I downloaded on the site http://www.freewarepocketpc.net some applications but they didn't start on my Pro2 with WM6.5 he says me that there would be an error with .NET Compact Framework. but i made an update and it doesn't start yet. Waht could I do?
Thanks

did you open the net framework file on your computer while your phone was plugged in/with an active syn connection? i dont think you can open it straight from your phone and use it on your phone, pretty sure it must be opened on your home computer
try explaining it again? i might be able to help, which program did u download and how did you install 3.5 net framework, via your computer or what?
I just downloaded : TicTacToe.CAB / BubbleSetup.CAB / PowerRadio.CAB / SinkMyShipsSetup.CAB / HTCLightSaberSetup.CAB
I made them on my phone and there opened them for installing , when the instalaition was finished the phone said it would be in order but wehn i tryed to start one of the programms it did start
ok
do you get an error message? what did it say if you did? explain to me how you installed netframe work 3.5 ,did you install it on your computer while your phone was plugged in,download net framework 3.5 ,search for the version you need.in the search box here in xda download it to your computer, plug in your tp2 to the computer make sure you have an active sync connection, then open the netframework file on your computer and it will install net framework on your phone,if you have done this do it again then redownload the games, put them on your phone, maybe install on device instead of storage card then try again, hopefully that works or maybe another program you have installed is in conflict with it,or maybe the rom you have isnt compatable
perhaps something you downloaded is in conflict or the games are not compatable with a touch screen
I'm trying to install the .net compact framework 3.5 on my tp2 but i always get the message "installation of Microsoft .NET CF 3.5.CAB was unsuccessful."
i have synced the tp2 with my laptop and i run the installation program on the laptop.
