I have to admit you confused me... cyanogenmod v4.0.4 is a "rom" it is the same process you did to get that on there...
i take it your using a recovery img
for a hero rom the most important part is partitioning your sd card or it will run SLOW AS HELL
so...
[1] shut down your phone
[2] hold home+power to boot into recovery
[3] choose format sd card to fat32+ext2+swap [this will wipe your sd card in the process so if you want to keep anything back it up]
[4] choose nandriod back up so you can restore back to your current if you mess up
[5] reboot your phone
[6] download the hero rom you want and rename it to: update.zip
[7] plug in your usb to your phone and put the update.zip on the sd card
[8] shut down your phone
[9] hold home+power to boot back to recovery
[10] choose apply update.zip
reboot and your good to go
(thats how to do it if you dont have a partitioned sd card if it already is partitioned skip steps 1-3 if your unsure if it is just do all the steps)
hope that helps

i dont c any option to do the fat32+ext2+swap all i c is wipe data/factory reset i tried to get the adb on my pc but that wont work ethier

you can do it by hand on your computer...
you def need to do it or youll be looking at a loading screen everytime you do anything on a hero rom heres the thread to partition it or if you use amon's recovery it has it

I dont know wich rom to put and how...can someone please tell me and help me???
Simple please because i dont know much...if it possible to copy the file at sd and just press the sd install from the recovery ...
Do you have the cLK bootloader installed? If you don't, you can't use ROM manager properly on the HD2.
However, I'd suggest downloading the ROM you want from the browser, booting the HD2 into MAGDLR--> recovery, and installing from there. [ That is assuming you using MADGLR, which I'm assuming you are].

Copy the rom you want to your sd card (download after which bootloader you are using)
Wipe data/cache/dalvik from cwm and install rom.
and how do i know wich bootloader i use?And if you be kind could you tell me by a link wich rom is mach to my phone without problems?
When you boot up your phone, do you see a cmd-like screen showing some text after the htc screen? If so, you are using MAGLDR. Otherwise, cLK.
yes there is one...like some comand are runing and writes "ok" "done" and after that is the android logo..
so
wich rom is the best fit to hd2 and how to i put it in?
Is this the way? "Wipe data/cache/dalvik from cwm and install rom" and if so the file with the rom i put it on sd card root?or in a folder?
Sorry for the lot of guestions..

The best ROM depends on what you like. I'd suggest using Tytung's NexusHD2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
So, to install this ROM, you need to-
1. download the ROM and put it on your SD card. Just download it from your PC and drag it onto the SD card root, not in a folder. [it doesn't matter that much, but it's easier to just have it there instead of in a folder].
2. Boot into MAGDLR. Do this by holding the volume DOWN button and end call button at the same time while booting the phone.
3. In MAGDLR, scroll down into AD Recovery. From there, wipe data/factory reset, then install the .zip from SD card. Reboot your phone and enjoy the new ROM.

Yes this is mostly right but:
1. Use the app Titanium Backup to create a backup of all your apps and data on your SD card
2. To boot into MAGLDR hold down the power button, not volume down
3. Before wiping data I would recommend creating a full backup of your ROM in CWM, just in case
Also, you may need to repartition your NAND if necessary. Look in the first few posts of any ROM you decide to flash, it will at some point tell you what size 'system partition' you will need to create. If this partition size is less than or the same as 150Mb, you don't need to change anything. If, however, it is larger than 150Mb do the following:
1. Download and install the NAND Toolkit
2. Boot into MAGLDR menu then select 5. USB Flasher
3. Select 'MAGLDR repartition' in the toolkit
4. Select the correct partition size from the options given in the toolkit
5. Repartition
6. Flash your ROM (as a .zip) in CWM
7. Reboot, then reboot another few times just to be safe
8. (Optional) Restore your apps by downloading Titanuim backup, then pressing menu>batch>restore all missing apps and data.
Hope this helps

bootloader> task29> rum windows mobile
That simple
[/COLOR]Erm, why would you need to do any of it again? You unzipped the rom,,, so what? Delete what you unzipped, get the zip again, put it on SD without unzipping, start phone with power held --> magldr option 8 ad recovery --> starts cwm, from there choose 'wipe data factory reset' just to be sure the partitions are clean (i(f you are gonna make an sd ext partitiom now would be the time))then 'install zip from sd ' job done.
I would have to agree with samsamuel. there is no need nor would "bootloader> task29> rum windows mobile" fix your issue. You only need to delete the unzipped version off your SD card and replace it with the zipped version. Then follow the instructions where you left off at.
[Q] HELP ME! I dont know how to uninstall MAGLDR
[A].. to uninstall magldr is to do:
1 task 29 (wipe all data and NAND)
.. to install Android on your HD2 you must do this:
1. Power on hd2 pressing vol down (three color display) and attach USB cable
2. Flash MAGLDR113 (phone is restarted and booted in magldr menu)
3. In menu with vol key select USB Flasher confirm key is green
4. Flash MAGLDR CWR 5.0.2.6 (partition size depends of the rom you are flashing)
5. Wait for magl menu and select AD Recovery (8) then select:
-mounts and storage
-mount USB storage and copy zip file from comp to sd card,go back (unmount) pres key arrow to go back to
-based recovery and select
-install zip from sdcard
Wait to ends, boot and you have android installed on your HD2!!!!
I'm kind of lost why you want to uninstall MAGLDR. If you want your phone to be stock windows mobile download your official stock rom. Extract it to get the nbh file. Rename that nbh to LEOIMG.nbh. Copy it to your SDcard, and flash in bootload mode. This should reverse you back to stock. I would do a search for help 1st. There are many threads already about how to flash back to stock.
What you only need to do is give a little clearer instructions on what your problem is, where your stuck at and what your trying to do.

HD2 hangs on 02 logo

please i need a perfect ROM to upgrad my phone.

21.You should get ‘Red, Green, Blue and White’ screen with SPL-2.08.HSPL.
22.Let go volume down button when you see ‘loading…’.
23.Then ROM upgrade screen will be loaded.
24.Press power button to start update the ROM.
25.ROM update process will take around 15 minutes.
Gosh, you're doing it in such a complicated way. I'll give you a simple idiot proof guide. (Android guide, as wp7 is too easy)
1. Flash the correct hspl and radio according to what the rom thread says, download links of these should be provided on rom thread.
2. Install MAGLDR (So much easier to use than CLK) From here
3. Install Clockwork mod recovery, from here
Although before flashing go onto the android rom thead that you wish you flash and on there you will see the recomended system and cache sizes. Once you unzip the clockwork download file, you should see a file called: Flash.cfg Open/edit this file and then enter the recommended files from the thread.
4. Then go onto the thread and download the nandroid rom you wish to flash.
5. Go onto MAGLDR and click on option mount storage and then mount SD card, then simply put the zip rom into the root of the sd card.
6. On Magldr select the option of Nand recovery.
7. Voila you're in Clockwork mod recovery, now clear system data, and clear cache. After that go onto additional options and clear the dalvik cache.
8.Next just simply follow the recovery steps and install zip from sd card and flash the rom.
9. Once flashed it should automatically reboot and select Nand as default boot, and load the android rom.
Simple.

the magldr sd mount doesn't always work, sometimes corrupts larger files. Safer to use teh 'mounts and storage - mount sd card' option in cwm.

What are the steps you've done so far? I know this may sound stupid, but you did flash CWM right? The other day I came across someone who was confused for ages then realised he didn't actually flash CWM
Have you Installed CWM recovery ?

Dont worry man, once you install CWM, you will be able to install a NAND rom of your choice on the internal memory of your phone. The rom you install will have everything eg. kernels, scripts. Basically all you need to do is install CWM then install a rom of your choice. Here is a guide to do install clockworkmod(CWM)
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...kmod-recovery-on-android-htc-hd2-with-magldr/
and here is how to install a rom using clockworkmod
1. turn off you phone
2. turn it on while keeping the power button pressed (dont let go until you see the MAGLDR menu)
3. Go to option 8 "AD recovery"
4. You will boot into clockworkmod
5. Go to mounts and storage
6. Mount the sd card(connect your phone to the pc via usb cable, and then select this option)
7. Place your downloaded rom .zip file on the sd card, root level
8. unmount your fone.
9. Go to "install zip from sd card option"
10. then select "choose zip from sd card"
11. Select the rom.
12. The rom will be installed on your fones internal memory.
13. When it is done, just reboot your phone.
14. ENJOY
NOTE: Remember to choose the correct partition size when selecting which clockworkmod to install. there are 150mb, 250mb and 400mb partitions available. The procedure to install them is the same.
Hope it helps.
any questions

Yeah, follow ^his guide. In case you get lost and want more detail, follow this guide. It also includes things such as partitioning the SD if needed.
When he talks about partition sizes, you need to look at the first post of the ROM you want to flash, and see what it says. Then use either the HD2 NAND Toolkit to flash that size, or do the following:
1. Download a CWM file (e.g. the ones at the bottom of the guide I posted)
2. Open the folder
3. Find flash.cfg (not flash.cfg.txt) and open it with notepad
4. Change the system value to the one stated in the OP
5. Save the file
6. Go to USB Flasher in MAGLDR
7. Connect phone to PC
8. Run Daf.exe in the CWM folder
9. Boot into CWM and follow the steps by adil1508 or the guide I posted to flash a ROM.

I genuinely cannot make it any simpler than this guide. When it says flash the correct partition size, use the HD2 NAND Toolkit to flash a 175mb partition.

[Q] Installing Cyanoid v11 on LG Optimus L3 E400

Hi. I attempted this installation this morning. I was able to install CWM Recovery using ROM Manager. I then installed the latest Build found in this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459171. The installation proceeded as shown in the video, but when I reboot the phone after installation, I see the LG logo, and then the word ANDROID on the screen and nothing further. I can still get into CWM recovery by pressing Menu, Vol - and the power button, but the phone does not boot past the ANDROID screen. I ran the installation a second time, but the same result. Can anyone help?

I assume you are coming from stock rom as you just installed CWM, so make sure you are using the STANDARD version, from the cyanoid page and follow this :
boot to recovery
go to mounts and storage
mount usb
this will allow you to move the correct version of the rom to the sd card, if it is not already,
when finished putting the rom on the sd card, unmount usb
now go back to the main menu
wipe data factory reset
wipe cache
go to advanced
wipe dalvik
go back
go to mounts and storage
format system
go back to main menu
install zip from sd card
choose zip from sd card
go to the rom you put on the card
select yes to continue
wait for finish
reboot
If it gets stuck again pull out the battery, wait a few seconds, put it back in, boot to recovery and do everything from install zip from sd card again and see what happens
let me know if it works or not or if your cwm recovery options vary from those i listed and i can help further

Hi linuxxxx
Sorry, I can't post in the Cyanoid ROM thread, I don't have enough posts on this site, so it is not allowed. I was able to get this to work though following bluerichblue's advice above. There is one remaining issue. I cannot enter any APN settings. When I enter those, and select the save option, nothing is saved and the system returns to a blank APN list screen. You previously suggested that this may be a problem with the SIM? However, I have used different SIMs with the same result. Also, while my LG Optimus L3 was running on the Stock Rom, this function worked and I was able to setup APNs. Can you help?
