Hello All
Today I tried to upgrade my XDA. I used an usb-hub, wich caused the upgrade to hang . After this my XDA was dead.
I have read that it is possible to flash my device by using my SD card.
What I need is a bootloader (*.nb0) and a windows CE (*.nb1) file. My provider is O2-NL. Eng. europe version
Can anyone help me plz :?:
Eric
You do not need the bootloader file, the bootloader should still be there. Try holding the power button pressed while performing a soft reset (large hole), and see if the bootloader comes up.
The OS you already have, it is the large .nbf file that came with the "Programme A" upgrade software (in the 'English' directory). Just download XDA Rom Image Tool and write that nbf file to an SD card and away you go.
(Life gets a little bit more complicated if you have version 5.17 of the bootloader, but it's all documented on this site.)
Good luck...
XDA Died
After a botched upgrade, I too was left with a dead XDA, but I went down to the store where I bought it (Oxford street London by the Bond St Tube station), and there I befriended one of the guys, asked if they had a charged XDA in store, explained my situation to him, and then downloaded the flash from one of the store phones. It took about five minutes, but subsequently, my phone is back in business!
Much better than mailing it in...

i still have my xda not work, dunno how to flash it again coz dont have usb card reader. i just have 2 xda with 5.17 bootloader and 1 sd card 256m,need help soon
The situation, that you have 2 xda, make the situation much easier.
(Thinking, one of them is working....)
Make a backup of the CD-Card and insert it into the working xda. Enter the bootloader and make a rom Image to the sd card.
(may take a while)
Then insert the sd card in the malfunction xda ant enter the bootloader mode. It shows you a screen, that a rom-Image is found on sd, and asks you if you want to install it. Just do it.
This take also a while.
Questions about the bootloader will be answered at this webpage here.
Attention: Data on SD will be lost in this process, so be sure, to make a copy of the data...
Regards
Stefan
thx LumpiStefan for the answer,
but there is a problem coz 2 of them are using the same bootloader 5.17 that have some security feature so i cant make a backup from the working xda,
anything else i can do??
love u all,thz
I just got a replacement XDA from T-Mobile and I have to return my curretn XDA that has 4.00.16 on it. What's the easiest way to downgrade the ROM to the original T-Mobile ROM?
Can I use the new XDA somwhow to do this?
Thanks
You could go to bootloader mode, copy ce to sd card with the new phone then bootloader the other phone with that sd card in and then do sd to ce.
Or just take the backup you made prior to updating, because you would not have been crazy enough to do anything prior to backing up, and use XDA Tools to burn the old ROM back to your device.
to whom that can help me.
My XDA just shows WALLABY Boot Loader v5.17, GSM OK.
And my active sync is not working.
I need to know what are the steps require to get my XDA working again.
Any help willbe greatly appreciated.

too few details
to understand what could be the cause.
Try hard reseting your PCC (you will LOOSE all non original application and data)
or uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync and see
and see what it says !
Nb : The source of the problem could be in your PC HW as well
Tried reinstalling actice sync, and hard resetting it but xda still not communicating.
The last version I flash is Rom version 4.00.01 ENG,Radio version 4.2.1.
I am trying to change wallaby 5.17 to 5.15. i have no success in doing so, even with the sd card.
I downloaded XDAtool but do not know what is required to get my xda to work.
Can someone help.
To my perception, active sync is not involved in your problem.
It is really down to the OS interfacing with your device.
What was the latest version of PCC OS that was working fine?
Which OS did you then try to upgrade with ?
What steps did you perform.
When and which error message did you get ?
Hello everybody,
I own a htc legend and tried to root and update to a new rom by the guide here. Now my device is not recognized by the pc and i get a message "sd card removed" and the device is not rooted. I have tried every possible way to overcome this problem. Please help me i am desperate!!
thank you for your time.
Since your device isn't rooted then it should be fine if you just send it in for repairs. But if your desperate to get it fixed by yourself then you should try the USB unbrick guide in this forum (not sure if its for rooted or unrooted devices).
