Interested to know the best messenger for TD2 that user in this group are using
MSN Messenger?
Beejive IM
I was looking for something like "Agile Messenger" or some similar varients.... But unfortunately Agile for PCC is not free .
Use Fring (http://www.fring.com/default.asp) the best I've ever used!
when I am connected by wap I use "ebuddy", because this is the unique software that I known for chatting with MSN contacts.
Anyone knowns other program that connecting with MSN in wap?
Fring is the best.
I will try FRING today. Thanks ALL for reply.
But the Fring site doesnt officially support any WVGA devices yet.
Has anyone tried running Fring on 480*800?
Try Nimbuzz, I use it, it has Skype integrated also.
www.nimbuzz.com
or directly from phone m.nimmbuzz.com and it's free
fring 480x800
I downloaded the fring CAB for the xperia for my diamond 2.
Installation was easy and fast.
Works fine with 480x800. No problems yet.
You can try also slick. It's alpha, crashes sometimes, but works.

This seems to be good. I have just installed the Fring... and will try this in a day or two. Looks like free, similar to Fring.
I think I need to choose between Fring and Nimbuzz
PS: Done some google for reviews of these two, and seen Nimbuzz is good
Thanks for the tips in this topic. Nimbuzz is working great indeed! I had been using Fring, but it doesn't work anymore with the latest Leo ROMs.
Nimbuzz is the BEST
Hi All,
I have been using Nimbuzz and found this to be the BEST with all IMs integrated for Chat and Voice Calls too .
Thanks.
Try Palringo. Integrated with Facebook, msn, yahoo, gmail. PTT (Push to Talk) also.
Since I have a wap plan I use ebuddy because it is the only instant messenger that works with this type of connection. eBuddy also connects to MSN, Skype, etc.

I agree. Palringo is by far the best IM for winmo
I like Palringo, although the interface is not as pretty as Beejive. I have problem with Nimbuzz keeping connect and alive on my phone.

I know there was an old thread on here but I could not find it, so, forgive me to ask again:
What is the best Messenger application for WM5 / WM6?
I love the look and work of AGILE MESSENGER but the price is way too high for a program like this! Also: users get routed through their own servers to 'validate' the lisence. This causes time delay and additional data trafic each time you connect and in a long run you pay more than you would have to if you pay per data volume.
It would be great to find a program what does at least the main 4: AOL, ICQ, MSN, YAHOO. What do you guys use?
You could try Octrotalk.
Useful info here,

you can try look for IM+.
this messenger can connect to msn, yahoo, google, jabber, etc...
if i'm not mistaken they also have a version which can connect to skype. but i'm not sure with this.
fring does all of them with the exceptio of Yahoo. Very light weight and supports voice on all. www.fring.com
im using im+ i can send it to you just PM for me

im looking for some kind of instant messaging software that can be used with wifi instead of the networks... is there some crack to at&t's oz, or is there some software someone can recommend?
Fring is free
Don't ask for cracks in this forum...
Fring is cool, as is Palringo - both are free.
But I prefer, for now, Agile Messenger, and there is also the famous IM+, both being commercial apps.
Hi !
You can also have a look on OctroTalk, beta free for now,
or on EQO, free
All of them can be used over Wi-Fi...

PIGEON! is a good alternative. It's an ICQ/Jabber client that supports GTalk as well. It has a lot of customization options. In past experiences it has ran quite well for myself and a friend.
use skype
Use Skype itsfree
I think Nimbuzz is the best.
Nimbuzz is in 1 in All concept.
Nimbuzz Mobile lets you call, chat, message, and send files on the go, for free.
It combines all your buddies:
Skype,
MSN,
Yahoo,
ICQ,
AIM,
Google Talk
and more.
One login, one contact list, all accounts.
It's light and there is also a PC version available.

Good call. This would have been my second suggestion for him. Nimbuzz brings to Windows Mobile what Trillian brought to Windows on the PC (when it was first released).

Nimbuzz does support ICQ...100% sure. Looking at it on my phone right now and yup...there are my ICQ contacts .
hmm ok then i give it a try .... thx
Hi, i tested many of the clients but i got the same problem on each.
They will connect if I use WLan but not if I use GPRS/HSDPA whatever...
Is this a connection settings issue or is it not possible to use them without WLan?
i use fring it does these both over wifi and gprs
Skype®, MSN Messenger®, Google Talk™, ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo!™ and AIM®.
i tested fring too.
You have no idea what could be wrong with my settings? If it is useful, its a LG KS20 with WM 6 Pro and my provider is Vodafone (D2).
@ samadhi23 : "Beejive IM" and "Palringo"
they could easy block some ports to make more on sms's
there are sites which will test that
try googling
hey mates, thank u all!!!!!
i tested all messengers... for now "palringo" is at the moment my favorite...
thank u for this!!!!!!

i recognized that PALRINGO kills my batterylife.... now i 'm back on testing ....
samadhi23 for me IM+ is best, it bit complecated but really best best and best with all features

Nimbuzz is nice, but uses a lot of res.
The app itself is 5Mb!
qip is a good one
I definitely recommend Slick and/or Pigeon
I've been using BeejiveIM for quite some time now.
As for SIP, you can use Fring (don't like it too much though) or PortSIP
has anyone used fring messenger? http://www.fring.com/fring_is/fringadd-ons/
i tried using nimbuzz, but i get errors and can not connect.
palringo seems a bit slow on mine as well.
are there others for IM + facebook + google chat + Y!?
try beejive messenger it support every instant messenger service except facebook instant...i think this is one of the best instant messenger out there for window mobile phone
cool thanks. eBuddy seems cool. haven't used it, but will update later.
Palringo
IMHO Palringo is the best multi-messenger application. It supports Voice and photo sharing as well. I use it on the desktop and my mobile. There are also groups that you can join. There are several smartphone groups like XDA, smartphone, HTC, Windows Mobile, etc..
You should definately check it out.
+1 for Palringo. Small on the ram usage, connects to everything, works great.
Palringo is good. Have tried the other but it is the best for my use. Too bad it does not have Skype yet
palringo is hands down the best out there. and they're very receptive to feature requests and feedback.
