If somebody can help me analyze the problem I have with my HTC P3600, It would be very helpfull.
Since 1 week I can not get the audio out from the phone internal speaker (ear speaker).
When I connect a simple USB Headset it is working OK (I get the audio), when I switch to the loud speaker it works OK. But as soon as I come back to normal mode (ear speaker) It does not work any more.
I reloaded Radio ROM and FAMAN ROM Version 4.2 but no change.
Any other suggestion ?
Thanks
Additional information
BY the way this is my current Software version:

I have exact same problem. Started just today, any suggestions would be helpful please. Thanks
Steve
I have the same problem. My Htc p3600 works correctly in alimentation way but in normal way no audio (ear and tone) is present. is it possible that a old battery can be the problem?
Resolved with new battery and WM6.1 Elegance edition

Hi,
My Wizard works fine except for one problem: when using it as a phone, the little top center speaker doesn't work; I hear nothing.
(no, changing the volume level doesn't help.)
I can now only use it as a phone by either activating the speaker phone function (which lets everone else around me hear what's being said), or use a bluetooth headset.
Both are not really convenient.
Is there any way to test the center speaker without first disassembling the whole thing? activate it with another program besides 'telephone'?
Maybe such a test shows the speaker itself is OK, so no disassembling needed (but what then...).
Any help is welcome.

Hi, I'm in trouble with my wizard, I don't understand where the problem is, but it's related to the speakers:
- the lateral speakers works when I recive a call, they play my ringtone
- no sound at all when I setup the ringtone and I test it
- no sound at all when I play windowsmedia
- no sound at all when I make a call (no lateral no central speaker)
- bluetooth headset works perfectly
- every other function work perfectly
I opened my wizard but all the concetors seem ok... What's happening? Any expert that can help me in finding the problem?
My configuration:
- Imate K-JAM G3
- WM6 Wizard_19855_Clean_V1 (but the same problem with original rom and other 5 roms that i've tested)
- radio 2.25.11
Thanks to all that can help.

Now it's ok.

When I attache a wired headset (single earpiece) my audio always goes to the headset. Is there a way in which the rings can be heard in both the headset and the phone speaker? This would be useful if I don't have the earpiece in my ears. Thanks.
Depending on your ROM version
... is this known issue.
HTC has an official ROM (WM6.1) update on its support sites:
http://www.htc.com/de/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=59&act=sd&cat=all
But, of course, this only applies to the original ROM.
There you can also read about the bug that you roughly describe. Please compare before applying.
Hope it helps.
Kind regards from Switzerland
Thanks for this, but the problem is HTC has not released an official ROM upgrade for the Cruise released in India! So I cannot upgrade it officially to 6.1.
I recently bought a (almost) brand new HD2 running winmo6.5.
I did some testing on winmo6.5 and there doesn't come any audio from the (original) headphone!
checkt settings on HD2 with winmo 6.5, Tried other (4pin) headphones, whitout any result..
I checkt the 3.5 jack if any of the pins are bend or soldering was loose but that also seems fine.
Then i went on to instal miui android on the hd2 (which runs superb by the way)
and there was also the same problem: no audio from 3.5mm jack.
(did instal and unstall with magldr1.11/HSPL4/DFT/task29/SPL-2.08HSPL)
the strange thing is that the mediakey's on the original headphone (previous, play/pause, forward) on both winmo 6.5 and miui android works absolutly fine!
well i'm now back again with winmo 6.5 to see if a fresh start with the winmo rom worked, which it didn't (did soft resets and hardresets multiple times on both roms)
Some info on the HD2
winmo 6.5 rom: 3.14.404.2
Radio: 2.15.50.14
SPL: 3.03.0000
model: HD2 t8585
Can anyone help me out? can it be the radio or audio drivers on hd2?
And does anyone know if Micro-usb to 3.5mm (female) audiojack is supported?
Your awnser is much appreciated!
Ps. I did my best in researching the web about the same problem but didn't find any threads on my subject.. if there is one please let me know and sorry that i probably didn't see it.

Most likely are:
#1. faulty headset (no connection to audio) or incompatible (not all 4 pins headset are compatible with hd2;
#2. faulty audiojack on hd2 ( no connection on motherboard or discontinued ).
No fault from radio or audio-drivers.
No way for audio from usb for hd2.

Thank u for the quick awnser!
that's strange because the headset is the original one which came with the phone..
Tested the headset with another phone and it did work perfectly
and i checkt the audiojack and as far i could see there weren't any soldering points loose.
strange..

Weird, indeed!
I'll stick with faulty audiojack connection on motherboard or bent connectors inside audiojack...
It wouldn't harm to double-check...
seems there are other people with the same problem. check out this thread to see if it will work for you. Also here.
