Hey everyone
I am having a nightmare with sling.
Can anyone post a URL to teh correct version of sling mobile to install on my tmobile ameo with WM6 installed?
I have tried 1.5 smartphone and pocket pc versions but each time i try to install it tells me i do not have the correct device to install this app.
Any ideas???
Thanks
AL
I downloaded some time ago and it works very well. I went to this page:
http://downloads.slingmedia.com/get/KB-005111.html
Hey thanks for your help.
Got it working like a dream, was stuck in a 4 mile jam last night and was getting a perfect TV feed.
Great stuff.
Thanks again
Why everyone doesn't Sling, I don't know... It works "OK" even on Edge, although there are buffering incidents. It looks luscious on that 5" screen.

sirius player for tp2

Ok now i know its been on alot of old threads and other sites and the sticky's but im new to this whole modding the phone thing. But can someone please help me out and post a sirius player that will work on my stock rom tp2 I have downloaded alot of versions of sirius wm5 and C-aspisro but both do the same thing when i go to connect it says connections failure and wont connect and yes i do have a subscription with sirius so can someone please help me out.
I have C-apsiro working on my Tilt 2. In settings you have to check the enable Sirius Proxy, make sure enable logging is NOT checked in the general tab. I'm assuming you're choosing Sirius instead of XM in the loggin screen. If you do get it working though the app is a serious battery drainer, you'll lose half your battery life in a couple of hours.
I found the new version to SiriusWM5.....SiriusWM6. it worked for me. I couldnt get 5 to work so I went looking for a new version. I believe you can get the 6 on geekstookbox.
Works for Me
Finally Sirius on my WM Phone, works perfect on my HTC Tilt 2
Wors for me
Oh yea, I'm using SiriusWM6

NaN Kbps?

Hi,
This is my first post on this site and was wondering if anyone could help.
I have a multi media application and when I try to play YouTube videos I get a message video URL not found. I believe the issue is bandwith related. it works fine on wifi and 3g, but I get this message most of the time when I'm recieving HSDPA signal. However sometimes when I measure the bandwith, I get the message from inside the application which says "NaN Kbps"? What does this message mean? The odd thing is when I get this message the videos play fine on any signal? I've tried various forums regarding this issue and am hoping someone can help me out. The software is all up to date.
Many thanks.

No more streaming radio after official jk4 Po

I installed the official jk4 froyo this morning and neither winamp or xiialive can connect to any stations, I use this feature a lot and I'm very bummed right now.
Both apps can browse the station listings but cannot connect to the stream.
I've tried rebooting and it didn't help.
I have full signal, it's not like it times out slowly just instantly get an unable to connect message.
Could bell be blocking this?
Anyone else?
Neil
I gave this a try just to check for you, and it doesn't work on my jk4 either.
I've checked with logcat, and there doesn't seem to be a dicernable error, it just keeps sending playercode 14 (which I have no idea what it means).
I'd suggest contacting the winamp dev team, they may need to update the app.
It's not just winamp
"failed to play the requested stream" is the actual message, from searching it looks like it has something to do with the type of stream aac vs mp3 and it's not device or app specific.
hopefully a fix comes along soon.
Neil
I just tested it and I can stream fine over both wifi and 3G with JK4

I had this issue with TuneIn Radio when I first got jk3. I just reinstalled the app
and everything worked fine.
it's winamp
after a reboot if I start winamp first and then try other streaming apps non work, if I do a reboot and just use other streaming apps it works fine.
so I guess avoid winamp for now.

[Q] Trouble with slingbox and T-Mobile Dash 3G

I have been using a slingbox with my T-Mobile Dash 3G for over six months with no problems. I used it on Monday of last week with no problems. I didn't need to use it again until Friday. But when I tried to use it, I got a message saying a problem has occurred with Slingplayer.exe. The program ran long enough to check for updates (which there are none) and attempted to locate my slingbox before giving the error; the same thing happens every time that I try to use it now.
I have not installed anything new on my phone. I use very few third-party applications and haven't added anything new for months. I checked my slingbox and it appears to be working properly. I can use it with a computer with no problems.
I tried uninstalling slingplayer mobile and re-installing. I still get the same results, an error after it tries to locate. I have tried a soft reset with no change. I am considering doing a hard reset but I don't see how that will change anything.
I tried downloading a free program that is supposed to do the same as slingplayer and it basically does the same. I get an error when it tries to locate my slingbox. All of my other programs are working perfectly.
Is it possible that T-Mobile is blocking it? I can't see how I'm using any more data than I have in months past. I can still watch YouTube as much as I want with no problems.
I looked at slingmedia's website but they don't have any helpful information.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for replying. I checked the link you provided but that does not appear to be the problem I'm having; mine worked for about six months then stopped working unexpectedly even though I have not made any changes.
---
Edit: I found the solution on my own a while ago but I forgot to come back and post the solution! It seems that my internal memory was too low for slingplayer to run so it would just crash whenever I tried to start it. Moving some programs to external memory (SD card) did the trick. I'm not sure what the threshold is as the program does not list memory requirements.
Anyways, still an awesome phone, even better since I can watch my slingbox, too!
