Hi, sorry I did not explain it clearly, It's not about the MMS capture video problem.
I want to send a MMS to a friend by using my Mini, the MMS is about 400K and when I send it, it said the size is too big and ask to change the setting. However in the MMS setting the biggest size it allow to set is 250K so I want to know is there a way to change it. Thanks!!
Anyone can help?
bumpity bump
Here in the UK all the networks have a limit of 300k on their servers, so its not the phone thats restricting.
acrosoft mms 2.5.0.28
with acrosoft mms 2.5.0.28 you can set the mms size to 300k.
Hi All,
how can one disable the MMS size limit of MMS Composer 2.0.0.22
of Arcsoft ?
I have recorded a few about 295 Kbytes MMS Videos and
now I can not send them away with the integrated MMS composer program...
Is there any other MMS programm available, that works better ?
What is the latest version of Arcsoft MMS composer ?
Thanks.
Regards, Stefan.

i think MMS size limit is not just controlled by the mms composer but also by your network.. so even if you can compose an mms with a 200kb+ size you cant send it coz your network will not alow you to send mms beyond the limit size..
All German networks now support 300 KBytes.
Also some private MMS Servers also accept 1 Mbytes and more.
So where can I change the size limit inside MMS Composer
to more than 200 Kbytes ?
Thanks.
Regards, Stefan.
Registry hack
Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\SizeLimit] with your favorite registry editor and edit one of the SendLimit values.
Many thanks. I am trying it out now.
The size limit is now displayed changed.
Many thanks.

Hi,
a new MMS with a 241 Kbytes Video went through,
but not a MMS with a 297 Kbytes video...
Why ?
Is it already bigger than the 300 Kbytes limit ?
Thanks.
Regards, Harti.
As earlier stated the MMS sixe is limited by your carrier (well at leaset mine is).
Go to Messaging and select your MMS account.
Then go Tools>MMS Configuration
Click the Servers Tap and tap on your account provider (mines Telstra)
Now on that page you will see a "Sending size limitation" Change it the the highest you have (mines 250K)
So i'm guessing as yours 294K it might not send if your carrier only goes to 250K.
Hi,
I am trying again with the normal O2 MMS server to send it,
but it also refuses to send it.
earlier I tried the free mmstt.de MMS server from a friend on the Internet,
where you can send free MMS to email addresses.
So it seems the O2 WAP APN proxy
wap.viaginterkom.de
is limiting the file size also to around 250 Kbytes.
Regards, Stefan.
Looking for some advice/guidance. I have successfully unlocked 2 orange spv m600 and set one up for O2 and the other for Vodafone. When I send mms to each phone they receive no problem through gprs. GPRS internet also works fine. However, the size of the (identical) picture received on each is different. On O2 the received picture is 5k and is a small square in the centre of the screen which is barely readable, whilst on Vodafone the very same picture is 29k and full screen size. I am sending the same MMS message and picture from the UK 3 network. Have looked in all of the settings, including mms receive (set to original on both).
Can anybody point me in the right direction? Do I need to tweak something else (registry?).
As I'm asking questions - another relating to mms - sending size is limited to 100k, is there a way of automatically resizing pictures that are larger than this as I always get the message "image is too large......" if I try to append a picture I have taken. Is tehre a sofware solution or a setting I can tweak.
Cheers,
M
Well i have a question i been looking on how to increase the current size of mms right now the max is 248k and also i tride sending a mms i press new mms on the messaging tab but nothing show up i am currently using binky11s rom 3.8 well thanks an advance
Are you sure that this is not a limit set by your operator?
Both my local operators allow VGA sized photos not larger than 100 KB and then they shrink these to thumbnails at 20 KB in size on the receiving side.
It's probably operator set. I use a Hermes on AT&T in the US and our maximum MMS size is 600k.
ok i flashe a different rom and now my new mms size is 600k the only promble is kind of slow does any one recommend a different rom the works with att/ cingular the roms i flash are bink11s diamond but binky11s mms dont work and diamond i am having difficulties getting apps to minimize thanks and advance
I've always had a terrible time with the MMS on AT&T. At least half of the time it will sit there forever trying to send it and then time out. It can get extremely aggravating.
what is the deal with group MMS? I have a 3.8" screen and they give me a picture that's resized to not even fit half of the screen?? is this just me or does anyone else have the same problem?
i'm using a Nexus One with the 2.2 - froyo update. I've always had this problem when it comes to group MMS so it's not as if the update f'd it up. i've attached a picture of what i'm talking about.
any one know a fix to this? i really don't want to use a third party app for messaging.

What are your APN settings and what network are you on?
hmm, under access points i have this:
Name:
T-Mobile US
APN:
epc.tmobile.com
Proxy, Port, Username, Password and Server:
<Not Set>
MMSC:
http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy, MMS port:
<Not Set>
APN type:
default,supl,mms
and I have T-Mobile USA
I can honestly say i dont have that problem, and that really sucks judging by the picture you attached...
Thumbnail sized mms pics have long been an issue on certain unlocked phones on t-mobile. Looks like the nexus one has this issue too. The mms server for some reason reduces the pic in transit.

so then could it be my actual plan that's causing this?

Try clearing the APN type and leave it blank. Reboot and see what you get.
You can always put it back.
If that doesn't work, check out this thread:
T-MO APN settings
My theory is this: Unlocked cell phones are often used on networks where they are not going to be supported on 3g, so APNs are sometimes set up for better Edge performance - compressing photos on websites and in MMS messages..
i tried clearing my APN type but it still does the same thing.... I'd like to add that when i get a single picuture it comes out fine, it's just when i get the group mms and it becomes a slideshow that causes these small pictures.

What happens when you tap the picture to select it? Nothing I take it?
like when i tap the single mms? it shows me the picture full size as if it was saved in my sd card. but when i touch the squre with the play button that's when it shows the pictures all small like the one i attached.
I don't think there was ever a solution for this problem.
Is that sent from a windows mobile device? What kind of file is it? if that's a windows media file, you can't play it. It's just showing a thumbnail.
no, she sent me two pictures from an unlocked iphone. whenever i get more than one picture it's always as a slide show and it shows me a square with a play symbol inside. when i push the play button it then shows me the picture i've attached here...
I also tried sending myself two pictures and it put them as a slideshow with the small sized pictures even before it finished sending them. when i got them they were small as well

Well, I had a similar problem with photos and videos on websites getting compressed, and it turned out to be an APN setting. There was a thread about that just yesterday. If that's not the solution, then I don't know.
Given that it's a video and pictures are showing up OK, could it be that the senders phone just shrinks videos right down for sending via MMS?

Lol it's not a video. All I've been talking about is pictures
Oh, what's with the playback controls & slider at the bottom then?
I get that every time I receive or send more than one picture in one message. It becomes a picture slide show. Doesn't everyone's nexuses do that?
Dunno, never had a multi-picture MMS before in my life, let alone on the Nexus lol
im going to bump this thread since i have the same exact damn problem on my G2 i just bought 2 days ago.. only this happens not only in group MMS, but with every MMS.. even when I want to send a picture it does the same thing!! its driving me nuts. it automatically resizes the picture to around 12kb and thats it.. i mean 4 years ago i had a RAZR and could send 1.3mp pictures in full size and it just annoys me that you can't do it in 2010 with a $500 phone!..
