Hi all,
I dunno if any of my steps goes wrong, but my phone keeps auto booting even i dont push the RED button, even i remove the battery and put it back again, it keeps auto booting so i cant choose fastboot mode or recovery mode.
All i did is:
- fastboot boot recovery-RAv1.2.1H.img
- choose Apply sdcard:choose zip and select update.Engineering-SPL-HBOOT-1.33.2004-signed.zip
Is it bricked? Could anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
1st off wrong section man you gotta take this to general...
2nd try press and hold home and power see if you go into recovery...if you do then your not bricked.
sorry i'll move this to general
so did you get it to work?
no i cant boot to recovery or fastboot, it just keep showing the htc splash screen, i'll take it to the htc care guys to see if they could help me. thanks btw
is your phone plugged into your PC when this happens? Dumb I know but when my phone is plugged into my pc it autoboots
Yes i realized it afterwards, i just unplug the usb cable and it stops auto-booting, but i cant reach the recovery and fastboot afterwards. Anyway, i've already take it to the customer service and seems that they have way to flush back all the software part and i could have my magic 3 days later
Actually i just wonder which step is wrong for me, should i root the spl before flashing a new one? or i should just skip it? i wanted to know this more

Hi!
I ve a problem with my HTC Magic.
This afternoon i want to flash a net ROM on my phone. But i wanted to crate a backup first, so i booted the amonra 1.2.3 recovery image with fastboot boot recovery-RA-magic-v1.2.3H and every thing worked fine , created a back up with nandroid. then i restarted the phone after then i restated it. But id doesent start normaly. It shows th HTC Magic logan then a shot black and the again the logo. After that a warning sign is showed(I figures out that this is the recovery mode). if i restart the phone i always come to the recovery mode. No Fastboot or other.
When i select apply updete.zip in recovery mode i only get the message: no sginature ,verification failed and Cant read MISC(no space left). and thats it.
I have a HTC Magic 32A the SPL was that one with the 09 in the end.
So i have no idea what gone worng and if i can revover my phone.
Can anyone help me??

You should be most likely able to recover you phone.
If you take the battery out, then insert it again, then press the back-button and the call-end-button, it won't boot to fastboot? Maybe try volume down + power on, too? It sounds pretty weird...

Check the links kenvan posted above.
You don't want to see the phone mounted as USB, you need to see it with the fastboot command from your DOS or unix terminal.
Then push ClockWork recovery to the phone.
From CW recovery you should be able to use it's tools to get you running again, or at least adb should work so you can mount storage and push files to it via adb.
I'd love to help you but I need a little more background... did you just buy the phone and this is happening? Or did you try rooting it and this is happening? Or did you just flash a different rom and this is happening?

Ok since you say you have a padlock on the boot screen, I assume you know how you unlocked the bootloader.
Turn the phone on into fastboot (hold power and volume up), then connect the phone to the computer via USB. Flash clockwork recovery (3.0.0.5 preferred) and then you should be able to enter clockwork recovery assuming you did it correctly. Push this rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884093) to your card and flash it in recovery.

Yes i know, can you be more specific`? step by step? im noob sorry for bothering you., how do i push to my card?
I have fixed my phone, my phone was liquid damaged. So i putted the hole mainboard in 100% alcohol and after 20 min i took it out and let it dry. And then it worked fine!
It just happened to me an hour ago. I tried for a few time to remove the battery and start it up (even with a new one). I also thought it might happen since the battery was drained so i let it recharge for a while with no success.
Eventually i attached the device to the computer's usb, waited and started it. and it worked.
Don't know if that was what solving it - but it back working.
Need help tried to get into flashboot mode now the phone is bugging out. all I did was got root and went perfect then I'm trying to use the flash too program and flash a rom or something. and it was telling me to connect into flashboot mode then press the ok button on the PC to start the program couldn't connect. so I kept trying and before the phone didn't want to get into any type of recovery or flash mode now the phone if I turn it on without any USB in the phone shows the Sony sign sits there and reboots by its self. or if I just plug it into my charger I freaking still get a green light and its stuck in the flash mode how can I get it to just turn on normal so I can have a working phone. Sorry for the long story its just odd I've never had a phone where if you pressed a few buttons and the PC never even saw the phone that its freaking out like I dumped a bomb in it. but nothing was wrong I had rooted perfect and turned it off a ton of time before trying to get into flashboot mode. Thanks for any advice everyone

i got the same issue by you so the only solution i get is to reflash generic 2.1 with flash tool and root xrec ect..and reboot with the charger plug and let's the phone charge reboot again with cable plug and when the green light disappear on boot then flash your rom with xrec. so remember don't flash with flashtool when you in xrec this made a autoflash mode and stay in flash all the time and eat your battery and maybe damage the phone if you stay in flash for long time.

Hey so you did end up getting out of this mode when it happened to you? And Im getting what your say but im sorta confused so I had android 1.6 and just finished rooting and was trying to put the phone in flashboot mode. Then I downloaded the flash tool and I moves to recovery files the the data/local or where ever they where supposed to be. Then tried to get into recovery but couldn't so I downloaded a rom or generic firmware for my type of phone. but when it said to put in flash mode by just holding the back button and put the plug in and press the ok button it wouldn't find the phone. That's when my problem began I tried to just take the battery out load normal to restart but it then just gets to the Sony sign and then turns off. The software didn't even touch the phone its getting annoying cuz I just want it to turn back on. Can you or someone post a like to where I should go with those directions you posted please

The only way I could get it to work was the following; however there is one thing to try before you try my way because mine did this also - after the wipe and flash with flashtool etc. The only way I found to get out the bootloop was to do a factory restore after when its looping. So from the boot screen loop hold the power button until it goes off then on then off again.
Then do the process to get into the recovery so hold down and power then release power as soon as the lg logo appears (first one) then press it again immediately that SHOULD get ya to the grey factory reset screen. Press the power button 3 x and it should do a factory restore and boot up this time. First boot may take a minute it should eventually start up.
Failing that try this - Open the lg mobile support tool and connect the phone in download mode (volume up and power with plugged in usb on mine) then go to options and upgrade recovery. it will download a file usually about 2GB then install it, the phone will reboot at 100% on the phone and 80ish% on the lg tool it will then start into the setup feature,
DO NOT disconnect the phone until it gets to 100% and finishes. This way you shouldn't need to do an extra factory reset.
I understand for this the phone needs to be seen on com 4 (it shows on the phone screen) so if necessary go into device manager with the phone still plugged in in download mode and select com ports then select the phone com port then right click >properties> advanced and change the com port to 4. It may tell u its already being used but don't worry it is fine. Save and exit device manager.
please bare in mind these are just my experiences on MY LG D802 however its worked every single time for me without fail and ive done it a good few lol.
HTH:good:
my problem is kind of abnormal. i couldnt find solution anywhere so i came here. my device was zenfone 5(t00f)/lollipop.
so i wanted to root my phone. i followed this guide >>
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/general/zenfonetoolkit3-24-40-87-t3406557
the tool i used is called ZenfoneToolkit_20160719, downloaded from here
HTML:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0AFmAAcGS5xbWpTQzBQVTN3b1k
. its a bundle of .exe, .dll, .img, .bin files. but no need to work on them seperately, there is a simple cli tool from which you can choose what you want to do and it executes that file for you. below is the list what you can do.
1. Wipe Cache
2. Factory Reset
3. Flash Boot
4. Flash Recovery
5. Flash Fastboot
6. Flash Stock ROM
7. Root
8. Unroot
9. Unlock Bootloader
10. Relock Bootloader
11. Zenfone Rescue aka Debrick
12. Fixing Generic IMEI 004999010640000
13. Backup MicroSD
14. Flash Boretz Kernel Lollipop
so wiped cache[1] first then i tried to root[7]. sadly it didnt work, when i turned the phone on it took me to fastboot screen, there i had only a few options like, normal boot(doesnt happen), recovery mode, restart. when i turned it off and pressed power and volume up together it would go to recovery where none of the options works. i though that was what called brick, so followed this guide to make my life better
HTML:
http://zenfone-blog.blogspot.com/2015/06/guide-how-to-unbrick-asus-zenfone-4-5-6.html
.
my phone by default came with kitkat. so when i downloaded the firmware i wanted to get a kitkat. but i couldnt find a matching recovery img and firmware for kitkat on asus official page. so i downloaded jellybean. ASUS ZenFone 5(T00F/T00J) software Image: V1.18.40.9 ww for firmware from here
HTML:
https://www.asus.com/support/Download/39/1/0/2/96nqlxHp1VKV4Rdz/32/
. and recovery img is 1.18.40.9_ww_recovery.img from here
HTML:
https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/644D9E0A19714899974C75FC4B6C87EDY
. i dont know what "ww" means in those name but i saw it in my software version before so i went with it.
All the steps went smoothly, by the end of it i guessed my phone charge would be low so i put it in charge and turned it on. first time it turn on without a problem. i checked out a few things and leave it for charge. after a while i came back and battery was 0%. i thought i would be wise to plug out and in charging port again. as soon as i pull out the pin, screen instantly turned black and the phone went dead after a looooong ass vibration.
now when i try to charge the orenge light at top lights up but the animation that shows battery always show its empty. if i try to turn it on while plugged, it shows asus logo/intel logo and goes dead again. if i try to turn it on without being plugged, it shows a battery logo with a question mark, which i think means the phone cannot find battery.
i am stuck here.... plz someone be my savior.
Hello my dear, to get out of this problem I did the following: I connected the phone to compuador by USB cable (with himself off), then he calls and gets the question symbol, it held the power button plus volume up he must restart to get the logo asus about 4 seconds after loose the power button and continue with the volume button up insured. It should enter into fastboot mode there do the necessary procedures to reflash the system.
I hope you helped, hug!
