-=sleep mode turns in to coma=- - Mogul, XV6800 General

yep, so i changed my phone, for another titan.. the other with the boot prob.. is somewhere...
anyway, this phone has issues too, had prob with the battery randomly dying, but i think i fixed that...
..my major prob, is my sleep mode, when my titan (p4000) goes to sleep, i press power, the led lights up green for a full second or two, then turns off,.. then goes back to its regular signal blinking, but the screen never lits up,i cant get any calls nor msgs regardless of the number of times i press it, .. i tried changin the lock button option,so that i would turn on by pressing any button, but that doesnt change a thing, so.. i was think maybe i should change roms.. im on wm6.0 stock from telus, but its unlocked (spl-2.47 no2chem titan spl evt cpld-9 ) should i go to wm6.1? i read that some users had the same prob, even after changin roms... what should i do?

on/off button doesn't react...

Just bought mij S100 and already a problem. My phone automatically shuts down the display, this is nothing strange. But when I want to turn it back on again using the on/off button, sometimes it does not react (sometimes it does). When this happens, i also cannot receive any calls. I tried to call myself with another phone and it did not ring. It looks like a crash to me. When I do a soft reset it works again.
I have the newest Qtek rom (1.12.00 WWE / 1.12.550 WWE) installed. Originally the phone came with T-mobile software.
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
If there is a problem with the power button, then you can go into Settings - Button Lock - do not lock buttons. This way you can turn on your device using any of the green or red buttons.
hi robbertje,
sometimes i have the same problem on my MDA compact (=imate S100).
on/off button does not respond - display dark.
soft reset resets the MDAc and everything is ok.
then a few days no problems. if this problem occours then more times.
I found out that if my MDAc is in this state and if I pull the SD Card out of the device, the screen is on but frozen. The time which is shown an the screen is not correct. Seems that it shows the time when the device went to the freeze status.
Also battery is very low after such problems.
I used to have it when I first upgraded to big storage. A hard reset seemed to fix the problem. What I found was that the screen would react, but it could be up to a minute after I hit the power button. Same thing when the screen was on, I'd hit Start and wait. After a while the start menu would pop up. This was before I even managed to install any other software so it's a windows bug that's fairly random. I haven't had it happen for a few months now, though.
I think PPCProfiles made the problem. I reinstalled PPCProfiles and it seems that the problem is solved but I will see ..................
Hey, I've already ur problem. It's an hardware problem!
The mess is that, when the PDA is cold (strange, huh?) it won't reactivate, causing to do a soft reset. Mystically, the LEDs are still functioning (I mean, if it's green, it will continue to blink BUT doesn't change for any reason)
The only way to fix it is to send it to the repairing center. Sorry for who is out of warranty.
Cheers,
MocciJ
new ROM?
In this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=25761 it is said a new ROM wil fix the problem ...
Is this possible?
check http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=27956&highlight= too - may not be relevant, but it shows that power button wierdness can actually be the result of a dodgy battery.
remove your battery, and wait 1 day,my problem solved this method...

Troubles with hardreset

Yeserday my herald blocked couple of times and sometimes even the screen got blurry. After this he didn't respond the on/off button or softreset button.
So today I did a hard reset, after the black screen appears, I pressed yes, but the he stops and a green screen appears.
Couple of weeks ago I did a upgrade to WM6(did had any problems at all until now)
Try rerunning whatever RUU you used to upgrade it.

The "green and red" screen is the bootscreen. You can run the RUU from that screen even "without" activesync "seeing" the device.
Have you been overclocking your phone?
As long as your device says "USB" in the bottom left corner when you're connected to your computer in bootloader... you'll be fine. Just run the RUU executable.
No, no overclocking.
Only recenlty(read:1month ago) update from WM5 to WM6(got it van htc e-club) haven't got any probs until sundaynight
No additional software, only tomtom
So I got the latest ruu from smart-phones.be and it stops after 2%
giving the error code 244(like all the other ruu I tried)
I guess I'm in big trouble now?
Is your phone HardSPLed? If so, a normal RUU will fail when you try to flash it.
No, I didn't Hardspl'ed it
I tried many different ways but nothing works. Maybe I haven't read carefully enough the instructions
Place it into bootloader mode (hold down the camera and hit the reset button.) Then try to reflash the RUU. If it doesn't work, then your phone just decided to cook itself. Try the official RUU. If that IS the official RUU, then you might want to contact your phone carrier or the nearest repair center. The phone might have just chosen a bad time to malfunction. The errors you were getting sounded like an overclocking issue frying the device... or just the CPU overheating by itself.
Well, now your talking about heating cpu
i've noticed on last moment when the phone worked normally, he felt hot :s
let's go to the shop
thx
here the trick of reset HERA100
100% working i tested. htc HERA100, T-MOBILE WING.

Sudden power off and won't turn on for ages

Hi,
I've got this strange issue with my HTC touch where occasionally it seems to switch itself off and refuses to power on for a long time. I have to do all sorts to try get it to come back on - remove battery, sim, memory card, etc. Sometimes (during one of these times that it won't turn on) it'll power on to the initial boot splash screen (which is an Orange logo one) and then the colours will go all funky (like inverted) and then the screen just blanks out into black.
After a while - I've found no set pattern to turn it on - it'll power on and things will work ok.
It's very frustrating when this happens as there appears to be no set way to get the thing to turn on. I hold down the power button and the device just remains blank.
I've had the ROM changed to Onyx 4.6 (Ultimate), but this problem existed with the stock ROM on the device. I was hoping that the ROM change would cure it, but it still seems to be happening.
" but it seems to be happening "
So wait, did Onyx solved your issue or .. ?

Sounds like a bootloader issue.
i have the same problem
have the same problem, I believe it is heat related i didnt have this problem in winter and it occured more when i went on a holiday (3 times) to the south of france, kroatia and italy.(i'm from belgium)
only thing that solves the problem imho is pulling out the battery and letting it cool down for some time (sometimes long sometimes less long depending on ambient temperature).
I think it overheats because htc service center repaired it with a 6.1 instead of an original 6.0 wm.
Anyone encountered the same??
(btw not everytime i see the flickering (inverted) splash screen)
This problem seems to be really big.

[Q] Can't soft reset

Please forgive me if this has been posted. I searched but could not find or I am using the wrong things to search by.
When ever I perform a soft reset the phone vibrates 6 times and then does nothing. The LED light is a solid green, but the phone does not power back on. I have to pull the battery to get it to work. However, I can power off the phone and power back on with no problems. Any ideas what is going on?

I know you probably do not want to hear this but sounds like you might need to do a Hard Reset.

Tried that and it did not work. I actually came across this problem while trying to HSPL my phone. When I ran HSPL3 and the phone attempted to boot into bootloader it would shut off and when it turned back on I got the 6 vibrations and the solid green light and no tri color screen.
So I loaded bootloader on my own, flashed HSPL3 and then flashed custom ROM. All was working fine until I had to softrest due to an app instal. When the phone reset it did it again with the vibrations and green light. I had to pull battery and then power on.
Thought maybe a bad flash or bad HSPL, so reverted back to stock via SD card and on stock ROM I took back cover off and reset via the yellow button and same thing.
The weird thing is that in boot loader mode at the top of the screen in capital letters it says "SECURITY UNLOCKED". Saw this before I tried HSPL. This is a warrenty replacement phone and my original did not say that.
I can power off and power back on with no problems and that is what I will do, but it bothers me that soemthing else may be wrong with thsi replacement phone that I don't know of.

HELP!

I think my sensor is effed, because whenever I put the phone in sleep mode.(i.e. hitting the red button) and try to re activate it, it wont read my commands to unlock but the weird thing is, the buttons work just fine.
If you have any idea what I can do I'd appreciate it.
I have already tried flashing different roms to see if the build was the problem, but it turns out the builds aren't.
It takes a screen a while to start reacting properly, but like I said, everytime it goes into sleep mode it starts acting up.
There has been a lot of threads on this same problem. Some say using other buttons beside the end button to wake up the phone and the tuch screen works fine.
The issue is a hardware issue and not software, so if you still have a warranty I suggest you flash the correct Stock ROM and SPL then send it in for repair or replacement.
