Hi I can currently offer sim unlocking for Touch HD by code for £12.99
Simply supply me with details of country & network the device is locked to & the IMEI number
*be 100% sure to supply the correct IMEI*
Far simpler & safer than using patched radios to flash unlock & basically the same price.
Code unlocking also should not infringe your device warranty.
For more details PM me.

Can anyone please help me how to Unlock HTC HD2 from T-mobile?
Search ebay for UNIVERSAL UNLOCK UNLOCKED TURBO SIM CARD SAMSUNG NOKIA it worked for me and its under £5 too
You can call T-mobile direct and there will charge you £15.
It's the best and the safest way a guaranteed code, but you have to be with T-Mobile at least more than one month.
Just to add to this thread, you have to use a Windows Mobile ROM to SIM unlock the HD2. This is due to the fact that only Windows Mobile ROMe can access the bootloader, the IPL of bootloader is where the actual sim lock for the device and where the changes will be made on the device. You enter the code into SIM manager to unlock it.
I have just bought a used htc hd2 from t-mobile which has android on it.How to unlock it as it asks for the unlock code when I put a different sim on it?
Just call Tmo.. tell them that you're traveling abroad and need to use your phone with different provider. They will give you the unlock code free of charge. Done that with mine about a year ago. And now those phones are not in their prime anymore, do not think that you'll have any problem unlocking it through Tmo.....
Tester.
If your HD2 is from T-Mobile US and you have a plan with them, just give them a call. It should be free to get the code.
If not there are many places online to get an unlock code. DO NOT pay more than $10 for it though.
EDIT: just noticed this thread is from Feb 2010...
Thanks for sharing..................
Hey, for anyone that unlocked your HD2 through t-mobile, I was just wondering, how many digits was the unlock code they gave you? because I had my friend call T-mobile to ask for a unlock code for my HD2 even though I am not a customer of theirs (He is), and he gave them my imei number but didnt tell them that the imei was for an HD2, and he has a samsung phone, so this is what the email said
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your Samsung device. For Unlock code you will enter the 8 digit code that we have provided you.
Enter: #7465625*638*Unlock Code#
NOTE: Network Personalization Cancelled should display once unlocked. "Not Yet Personalized" will be displayed if it has already been unlocked.
It is very important that the instructions are entered correctly as listed. If you receive an error message while performing the instructions do not make any further attempts to unlock the handset. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. You will need to verify the IMEI by pressing *#06# and contact Customer Care for support.
Thank You,

so, could they have mistakenly sent me an unlock code for his phone even though they used my imei or its really the code for my phone
appreciate any help

Dude, You should've gotten 8 Digits from TMO for unlocking your HTC HD2. Also based on the email you have posted the code is for a Samsung. Your Email should've looked like this:
Unlock Code: 12345678
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your HTC device.
1. Insert the foreign SIM card
2. Power on the device and the display should read "Please input unlock code"
3. Enter the unlock code and the device should display "Phone is unlocked."
4. Allow the phone to scan the network (or manually click on the antenna icon to do this)
It is very important that the instructions and SIM unlock code are entered correctly as listed. If you receive an error message while performing the instructions do not make any further attempts to unlock the handset. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. Thanks and Yes, I did get an 8 digit code, but the imei number i gave them in order to find the unlock code was from my htc HD2, but TMO thinks i am trying to unlock the samsung phone, but they mustve found the code in the system based on the imei number is what I'm asking. I am going to try it on my phone later on, but I just wanted to ask this before I tried
Just be careful when you enter the code coz the instructions for entering it is very different from what i have. If it didn't work once don't try it again. Good Luck!
what is the amount of tries you have on the HD2 before it locks permanantly?
ok so I just found out that the code they gave me was actually for the samsung phone, it was a good thing that I didnt use it
I am looking at purchasing a HTC HD2 from ebay. Unfortunately, it was from a "batch of phones that had left the suppliers locked" The supplier eventually offered a refund and he also, maybe inadvertently kept the phone as well. When he now puts in the SIM card the message reads --"Service provider is locked. Please input unlock code." Apparently you can have these unlocked, but one site states that "This service will NOT remove your phone’s security lock" Can somebody please explain to me what this means? Is it correct that you can only enter the unlock code 5 times and then it is permanently locked? Is there any way round this? It seems a little strange that the phone provider supplied a locked phone, then provided the unlock code, which for some reason didn't work? I would appreciate any advice. The emei number appears to check out as far as it is not blocked. I will pay for an "official" check, if it appears that I can get round the unlock problem. I could always approach the original supplier and request an unlock code, and hope that their unlock procedure works the second time round?
Thanks
Which carrier is this from?
Usually when you enter it wrong x number of times you now have to enter the "unfreeze" code, which you should be able to get from the phone provider. Most online unlocks also have the unfreeze code.
What country & network was it locked to ?
Most can be easily unlocked via codes matched to the IMEI
*Do make sure IMEI on sticker in battery area matches that of actual mainboard IMEI when you dial *#06# to view IMEI on screen
Have entered more than 5 myself & been on a time out wait for quite some time ...
Security lock is to do with firmware certificate checking & nothing to do with SIM lock ...
I get all my codes from http://www.pdamagician.com/unlocking.html but if you tried some code already without success I would ask them if they have another code not matching what already been tried.
Other option is getting it unlocked via cable & software & this method can unlock SIM, CID & Security as required but you need to find a local shop that supports it ...
Also worth noting you need to be on Windows Mobile ROM to fully support the code unlocking.
Thanks for the replies
Supplier was Virgin UK
Just to clarify:
"Service provider is locked. Please input unlock code."
• This is security lock and can be unlocked by using:
o code from original phone supplier (Different one in this case).
o code from 3rd party online supplier such as pdamagician.
o cable connection using specialist software at local shop.
IMEI sticker number matches mainboard
• This can only be checked after unlocking security on phone as above?
I presume by windows mobile rom, you mean not running on other operating system such as android? The phone has never been used, so it will be on windows and therefore not be a problem?
Are these phones still available new anywhere?
I can still buy them new here in Bangkok but getting harder to find.
Vodafone UK should be easily SIM unlocked by genuine HTC code & if for some odd reason not software & cable will for sure.
I would get likes of pdamagician to verify the code you have already tried as suspect a genuine HTC IMEI database code will be different .

I have a friend in Bankok. What do they cost now over there?
All the best
about 8,000Baht 100% new but varies on shop & availability as stock is low but demand is not high here.
I've owned my J5 (SM-J510GN; globe-locked) for almost a year now. I've been keeping a close eye, both, on the unlock sites and the kiosks here in Manila and - still - no unlock code is available for this phone. Is it still 'too new?' When do these codes usually start to trickle out?
If anyone has one (that will work for my Globe lock), please PM me.
TIA

Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't think you're able to unlock it via code. Since it's a dual SIM model, it has two IMEIs, so pretty much any unlock code provider is unable to help you.

Hmm....when i put in a non-Globe SIM, it asks for an unlock code. My experience tells me that if I had the code, it would unlock that IMEI.
Let's just say it wouldn't....how are dual SIM phones being unlocked then? I've yet to root it as it's still under warranty and there's no way (as of yet) to not flip the Knox value of this phone via root (hence, immediately ending warranty).
Thanks for the reply. Hope this thread becomes active and I find a sol'n.
