MDA Replacement from Tmobile

It seems like Tmobile is replacing its Wizard Version (MDA) with a newer HTC device namely HTC Atlas.
The news seems to be true as Tmobile US has taken MDA off of its website.

hmm interesting.. theyve been offering me a new phone because ive already had 13 mdas.. maybe they'll offer me this next time i call into warranty.. thatd be sweet lol

Win Mobile 6 software upgrade to MDA?
Is Tmobile going to post the ROM update (WM6) on their site so we can grab that and put it onto our MDAs ???

I talked to a guy from t-mobile when setting up my replacement mda to be shipped, and asked why mda wasnt on the site anymore, he told me about the new mda with wm6, but there will be no rom update for mda, just the dash.

I am really disappointed with T-Mobile...this is going to be their 4th pocket pc here in the U.S. (excuse if I am forgetting any of the others)...the HTC Atlas looks nice and all, but it's lacking the speed that Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon pocket pcs have...my friend even told me that the replacement of the vx6700, the vx6800 is come out with over 600mhz processor...I might just buy a 8525 from one of my friends that have Cingular...

Best way to get a Hermes cheap!!!

Guys, I'd like to know how you all go about getting your Hermes and how much you pay for it.
Since I live in a country where is costs like $1000 for the Hermes, I was wondering what would be the best way to go about getting it for cheap like it is in the US and UK.
I tried asking a few of my friends in the states to pick up one of the cingular connections which offers an 8525 along with a 2 year contract for about $400, but that would mean they have to get an extra connection.
I've noticed that there are a lot of people who sell these kind of phones on ebay which have been unlocked for around the same price.
Is there anybody you guys would recommend? or is there any other way I can go about getting the 8525 or equivalent for around $400 Brand new.
Hope yu guys can help out ASAP. My friend in the US leaves in another 2 weeks. It has to reach him by then.

if you're using fido, i'm guessing you're in canada
some local cell phone places can get the hermes relatively for about 700CAD or so, usually the softbank japanese version
you could check craigslist for your area
e.g. vancouver.craigslist.org
see if you can search HTC or Cingular 8525
i'm lucky i got mine from ebay locally though
under 450CAD brand new

@ $5 x 24 = $120.00... Really? The only other place I saw that kind of a price was on Amazon where an 8528 was going for about $125.00 with a 2 year Voice and Data Plan from Cingular which at it's cheapest would cost you around $80.00 a month.
Hope somebody else can point me out to a good deal. I'd prefer the M3100. Like our Mr. Activ Moderator pof pointed out... it's looks neat

Yes it's true, around $120... but it's a two year contract. In total the monthly fee is $25 including only 12250 packets and free calls from 1am to 9pm inside the softbank network...

Managed to find what looks like a decent seller on eBay.
Let's see how it goes. Brand New 8525 for around 450.00

Get WiFi Radio Replaced by HTC Support?

I've had my Wizard for about 3 months now, purchased off of eBay, which ofcourse means my hopes of getting it replaced by Cingular or HTC are nill. I was wondering if anybody had experience with HTC's support, and how much it would cost to get the Radio/WiFi module replaced. Also, when they replace something do they do as Cingular does and just ship you a refurbished model and bill you for what the part would've cost?

To sell or not to sell?

Okay, so I just bought a new Herald off eBay for use with t-mobile (I do have Insurance through tmobile for my phone, and as far as I can see in terms, it transfers beause of the fact both phones have the same deductible).
The thing is, just recently, I CID unlocked my Wizard thanks to this site, and installed TNT 5.0 with Tmobile's 2.26.
And I just bought a new battery for it...
Whatcha think I should do? Sell the MDA with new battery? Sell the MDA and return the battery? Or keep it? What would you do?

MDA is easy to customize ..,
I love it, I also have T-mobile Wing and SDA, I love to keep my MDA-Wizard

I Need a Rogers Branded Magic

Hello everyone, I'm brand new to XDA, but heard so many things I finally decided to join.
After seeing the Hero's interface I decided I cannot wait until it's released. It'll probably be even longer until the NAM 3G version comes dragging along.
I want to buy a Rogers Magic in the meantime so I can use it on AT&T and flash the Hero Rom on it.
The only problem is I can't find one that I can actually buy and have shipped to the US from Canada.
Any ideas? Recommended sites or sellers?

Only place I know of other than Rogers. But I never really looked, just bought it from Rogers.
Sorry that's not the Rogers branded, It was listed as Rogers a few weeks ago must have changed suppiers or something.

Please check your pm or call me for I have what your looking for 99% brand new with not one scratch roger's magic that yes does work on att 3g flawlessly complete with original box and all accessories 2 weeks old today to sell. They sell for over $600.00 and I would do to give you an idea around $520.00 shipped. Thx, Kev

Keep a sharp eye on ebay. I bought one of the first few Rogers' devices for $475 shipped, brand new.

check ebay canada.... you can probably get it for $450 as i got mine for $441..

To the OP, contact the guy that has posted above me. He has one he is selling since he is on T-Mobile US and needs the 1700 band.
