Anyone else had this 'Invalid or missing SIM card' message appear on screen or is it just happening to me?
Can't make calls when it appears and sometimes taking the battery out and restarting helps... but right now... I can't get rid of it!
Have called Orange and they keep telling me to ring them when it happens but havn't offered any solution apart from switch the phone band to GSM and see how that works... yeah its the same regardless.
I'm going around in circles on this one, anyone know anything??
I had similiar problems a while back and at the end, I changed to a new sim card and the problem is gone...
Hmm had a new SIM and a replacement handset already!!
Its really odd, it happened this afternoon for about 20 mins, very frustrating when you actually really need to make a call!

I have the similar problem. I replaced my SIm for a new one.
Did u find a solution to this problem?
Alright, so i have a telus diamond, and when somebody calls (most of the time) i press ANSWER (the big green button) and all it does is silence the ringer, and it won't start the conversation, i wait until the person on the other line finally hangs up then i gotta call them back, this has happend previously so i brought it to telus, they gave me a new one and its happening again!!! i cant see why? the only programs i have that change settings is Diamond Tweak, and i've looked several times, and i barely changed anything in it. Can somebody help me? I'd rather not bring it to them again and seem like the boy who cried diamond
Are you sure you are actually are hitting the green answer button, and not the "silence call" button? THey are quite close. Check it out.
no, i see the button flash, and i've tried pushing the hardware button as an alternative, but its still unsuccessfull most times
I had this issue as well. I did a swap and am still having the issue. I'm going to try a hard-reset at some point and then just monitor it to see if it continues to happen.
If it does, back to Telus to see what they can do for me.
Hmm.. now that U mention is, I have it too.
Mine's bought during launch in Singapore. It happens once in a while, but I didn't bother finding a solution to that.
Sounds like the same problem I had: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430980
Post #7 was a suggestion I tried. It apparently solved the problem for me.

there's a huge thread on the sprint forum about this problem too...
this problem is extremely annoying... and nobody seems to know the cause..
Wow, i guess i'm not the only one, thats good i sopose, i'd rather not bring it back to them and get a third diamond... i'm thinking of maybe finding out about getting a totally different phone... i love the diamond, but its pissing me off, not only that, it gets right slow sometimes... maybe im too hard on it, i dont know... but all they have at telus for ppc is HTC Touch (elf) and Htc touch dual i think...

I am having this same problem and its driving me insane! Does anyone know if Sprint has addressed this yet? Is there anything I can do?
Hi all,
Just wondering if someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. Ive serached and got overwhelmed by the number of hits without solution.
Ive just purchased the HD and installed S2U2 and the rest (exactly like i used to have on my Kaiser (TyTynII). Ive noticed that the first phone call i recieve after a soft reset, cant be answered. There is no slider to answer...just to unlock...and when i unlock..even though the phone still rings, there is no answer button....just talk button as if i havent recieved a call yet.......very weird....
Can anyone tell me whats wrong or point me to a thread?
Thank you....Very much appreciate any help
Cheers.
S2U2
try the new version 1.62. works great on my HD
Evening all, just got a voicemail message, went to listen to it but it asked me for a "voicemail number"!?????? never had this before,i got the number but how do you save it to the number 1 on the keypad???
Paul.
yeah this happened with me the other day
i rang the orange customer services and asked what it was about. apparently the best thing to do is to hang up and redial the number through the keypad as opposed to the alert
i didn't eventually find out the the reason they did this cause the woman on the phone was developmentally challenged
if in doubt go to the dialer and hold 1 it should be under this already or alternativly dial 07973100123
Thanks Mate, but does anyone know how to save the number to the number
"1" on the keypad????? thanks.
P.
Its ok i done it! dunno how but i did it!??? cheers pilot!

Actually sometimes even after holding down 1 it asks for this number, but you don't need to type all of 07973100123, you just need 123 if using a Orange mobile
Thanks Mr Spartan.......
Paul.

Thanks I did end up finding it a day later. It was in lost mode with my work number on the screen and as luck would have it they phoned me and I picked it up.
The only problem was the back was smashed and 20 pound from my case was missing. Just glad I got it back thanks for the reply
