Help - send/receive greyed out

My outook email send receive button is greyed out. The only way I can sync it is to sync it via the active sync. I used to just be able to click send receive from within the email client and it would sync over gprs ?

did you set up an email account?

Confused about Outlook

Hm. Okay, so I have Outlook 2k7 on my Desktop. It synced just fine, I can see my email on the HD, but when I select send/recieve, nothing happens. Is Outlook Mobile 2k7 not on the phone? Is there something i'm missing? since it pulled my messages in, i assumed it pulled my login info with it. is that not right?
Surely Syncing just checks what mail you have on the PC. Send and receive downloads it itself. You need to have a mail account set up on the HD to do this, but not needed to sync.
When you connect your HD to Outlook 2007 via activesync, email that is currently stored in outlook is synced to your phone and that is basically all it does. If you want to retrieve email to your phone whilst not connected to your pc, you need to setup mail acccounts on your HD. There is a wizzard on the HD that takes you through this process which automatically determines the mail server settings for you.

Hero Mail Sync using a PC

Hi im testing the HTC Hero for my work but i cant seem to sync mails from the exchange server (exchange 2003) through my PC's outlook and onto the hero. Syncronizing the calender and contacts using HTC Sync works perfectly but i really need to sync the mails aswell.
is there an application (for the Hero or PC) that lets me sync mails through the PC's outlook (as no mobile devices are allowed on our network)

Click to collapse
I don't believe there Hero allows syncing of mails through a PC and I don't believe there is an app for it either. The only way of syncing exchange emails is by setting up an exchange account on your Hero and syncing over your data connection or WiFi. Syncing this way keeps all your mails in sync anyway so it's probably the better option. Your phone, PC and the Exchange Server will all be perfectly in sync.
only problem there is that the phone cant be connected to the network. (even tho we have wireless connection its only for laptops)

Calling through PC Outlook using my Blackston

I want to call contacts from PC Outlook where my phone will be connected through USB or Bluetooth to the PC.
Is there any Plug-In for Outlook to do so.
For SMS through PC Outlook using my phone I'm using Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5 evaluation version, though it crashes at many times.

[Q] App to sync all notifications to PC

Are there any apps out there that does notification syncing to the PC?
I assume this would be client server model, where the PC would have the server and the phone will have the client.
Or maybe something that runs a web interface (like airdroid).
For ex: if you get a new sms on the phone the notification gets synced forwarded to the PC?
EDIT: Just found out that airdroid v2 does have notification sync capability (awesome) and a lot more.
Here is the link, if anyone is interested: http://airdroid.com/invite/airdroid_v2.apk
