did you install the exec rom on the regular atom?

I did, and it's really great. No issues with camera, WiFi, or lines on the screen, all is well. I "upgraded" from the latest O2 Atom wwe rom.

Um so what did you do to upgrade??? Was it the official atom exec rom from o2, and was it a matter of just using active sync to flash the ROM???

I can't understand... how it can be better - if you replace extended rom (hidden partition) with old atom... you will have old aplication on your Atom... nothing new..

Well after having the modified exec rom on my atom for a few days i have decided to resort back to the original atom firmware "4261".
To be honest i could not find anything valuable enough to keep it. The original rom gives you the choice to install O2 plus and phone plus and the headset patch through O2 connect.
The wireless manager looks pretty and the world times is boring, so back to the original firmware for me. There are still a few bugs with the exec rom so i wouldn't bother.. CAM works fine and wifi work fine no matter which rom i use. I did notice i couldn't use small icons on my today screen with the exec rom.. other than that, nice try....
Does anyone know where you can get some cool themes for the atom like woftam has used in this thread?

P.S if you need to resort back to the original firmware, remove your sd card, connect device via activesync, hold the cam button and the soft reset button to force the device into BOOTLOADER mode. Next run the rom exe from your PC and you are away.....

Now, when windows mobile starts (loading the plugins, etc...) have a wallpaper animated (but my recommendation is turn off it per defaut) because this turn the start a little slow (5 secunds, if you have very programs on start maybe is more time)

My friends have access to part of official ROM from HTC touch diamond and make a preview for polaris.
I don't can give you a date of release. Is in alpha status, but is stable. Maybe pdaviet release it first.
The HTC youtube (in actual version) maybe never work with WM6.5. Is necessary to make a adaptation for WM6.5.

Seems the youtube problem your encountering isnt just in your rom - it appears to inoperable in other wm6.5 roms( its some problem in wm6.5 and others wonder if will ever be possible with the current coding/used software)
- dont worry about it for now - im sure people would love to try your rom - regardless of youtube problem

Here is my attempt to release WM 6.1 rom for opal users,since wm 6.1 is best at performance......
BUILD is 21056 the latest one leaked..........
Overall performance is very good.......fast. I have used manila 2d from stock rom......also there is a plugin called pocket digital clock....
FAQS
1. ActiveSync Starts up Again and Again Automatically Even When the Phone is Not Connected to USB cable or Bluetooth
Solution: It happens for some strange reasons that i haven't been able to find but for now there is a workaround for it.
For Users who use Exchange server with ActiveSync will have no problem if they have set the update schedule to manual. Otherwise, if you are using the push mail feature of exchange, then ActiveSync will run all the time for syncing and that is very normal.
For User who dont use Exchanage server, they should create a fake server and then set the update schedule to manual to prevent ActiveSync from running on its own. Here are the steps for that.
First of all, configure ActiveSync with your PC if you want to sync with PC using the usual method. After that:
1. Open Activesync on your phone and from the menu choose Configure Server...
2. Enter any email address. Clear the checkbox titled "Attempt to detect Exchange Server Settings Automatically". Click Next.
3. In server address, enter localhost or anything else. Click next.
4. Enter any username, password and domain name. I mean random strings. Also check save password checkbox.
5. Clear all the checkboxes in the "Data you want to synchronize" list. Click Finish.
6. Open Menu>Schedule. Here set both the dropdown lists to "Manually" and clear both the checkboxes. Click OK and close ActiveSync.

After testing all the wm6.5roms, for the meantime i decided to use your wm6.1 latest rom. This is the best.

After that I have noted that my clock is always lagging behind 10 to 15 minutes daily. I don't know whether it is related to new ROM or other problem.
Also my camera stopped working before installing this ROM, BUT after installing this new ROM, it is not working...

I borrowed the old sd card from a friend then install the android and it works!
LOL My original SD card of touch HD didnt work. I think only old sd card works right now. make sure you format it with the tool here http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/
and the issue about the camera is not fixed yet. we have to wait for the next update i guess.

that's one of the bugs already known. Developers are doing what they can to fix that...

As it's and kernel related (driver like) problem and it just doesnt address the camera at all atm - there shouldnt be any risk - so it's like there would be no camera for the system.
But dont try pin me on that later
(Dunno if it also applies for testkernels,...)
Anyway - what u could have found is the standart termes - android is experimental - all at youre own risk - but there shouldn't be one atm (think i read it somewhere some month ago)

If you also want a wm6.5 booting screen you can do the following
1. get the two files which are attached below
2. If you download SHAHEN's rom then its very good.......otherwise if you only want the wm6.5 booting screen then you may download only my files
3. copy the splash2.nb file to your windows directory in you ppc
4. now copy the splash_changer to you ppc and run it..
5. You are done now reset your device and see
extract the splash.rar file
it contains two files Splash2.nb (wm6.5 booting screen)
and splash.nb (wm6.1 booting screen)
splash2.nb can be directly copied to the windows folder
for Splash.nb first rename it to Splash2.nb before coping to windows folder

It would be great if somebody could upload some screenshots, cause my battery is dead and radio part is bricked. At the present moment I can't do it. Especially dialer screenshot, like this one, but with English captions.

Russian version already contained wm 6.5 splashscreen like on the banner. So I'm confused.

rename the splash.nb file to splash2.nb

Yep, no problems on flashing. RUS version works very well. I've started my work on WWE port 2 weeks ago, but..... I've got a little problem. Unfortunately, due to lack of free time, this project was temporary stopped. As soon as it is possible, I will continue to work on this port... I hope it will be ok.

but the thing is that i have given up and put my pocket pc aside i m doing CA ( Chartered Accountancy) that's why having no time for it.
