I did a few updates on my Exec yesterday, dont think this problem existed prior to this, but dont really want to hard reset to get it back to how it was.
I basically go into any SMS or Email, and it starts 1 page down from the top (with SMS just showing white background) which I then have to scroll up to be able to read the start of it.
Ive done LOTS of searching, and found a few people have had this problem also, but couldn't find a solution.
Anyone got any ideas I can try?
Cheers
Big thanks to 'MikeChannon'
I thought it may be linked to the 'tab' not working either. So I turned off 'smoothscrolling' within PIE and that has cured it.
Hi all
I am having problems with logging in to youtube through HTC sense on the HD2. I can log in to Facebook and twitter just fine, but whenever I try to log in to youtube, nothing happens - the icon does not turn green, but stays greyed out. I have tried on 2 different HD2s, using two different youtube accounts, and have even tried following a hard reset with the same results. I have tried to log in using the data services in the settings, and also using the account manager in the connections settings. I would like to be able to upload my videos to youtube from the HTC album, but of course I can't do this until I am logged in.
Is anyone having similar issues? I am using the 1.43 ROM on O2 in the UK. I don't really want to upgrade until the official ROM is released.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Just had the issue with my German Tmobile ROM.
Youtube was disabled...or no idea what Tmobile did to the ROM.
Now with the clean 1.48 everything works fine.
regards
brook
I'm on t-mobile on the uk and YouTube does not seem to work over 3G or HSDPA. works ok over wifi, now running 1.48 WWE ROM.
Sent from HD2 keyboard
One thing I will ask, is there any way when using the Youtube application, that when you do a search, the search results are similar to that of the actual Youtube website.
I often do a search in the app and will get no results, or very different results and on the website will gain the proper results.
Any suggestions?

Youtube login fix
Ive noticed something odd about the logins in Sense UI for youtube (and probably Facebook etc), if you have a non-alphanumeric password (a password with say [email protected] etc ) you won't be able to login. Just change your password with google/youtube and you can login. I assume the same goes for twitter and facebook.
Thanks for all the responses. Looks like my best bet is to wait for O2 to bring us the official 1.48 (or 1.49) upgrade, or to try the goldcard method. Just to respond to some of the suggestions, I have tried both over wifi and 3g with the same result, and I already have an alphanumeric password. Anyone else having this issue?
yep I have an official o2 ROM and I can't log into YouTube.
Looking suspiciously like an issue with the O2 rom. Have asked over at the O2 forums if anyone else is experiencing this. Will keep you updated.
Im on o2 and I dont have a problem, works fine for me.
Im also still on .143 rom.

Another troll post by you... reported!
On topic: If your device didn't come with the youtube application, you might want to try this alternative: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508984
For all Coreplayer users: Coreplayer also has Youtube integrated.
By the way:
I have written ALL of my recent posts on the HTC HD2. Typing on a mobile phone has never been so easy.
I made a thread concerning the youtube app and the camcorder. My T-mobile device didn't come with the youtube app so I decided to install it but it seemed to mess up my camcorder. I wasn't able to play the videos back.
Has anybody had this problem?
yep i`m on tmobile and i have the same problem, desperate for a fix!!!!! i have the original youtube app off the topaz/hd but my videos wont play when this is installed, uninstall it an my videos play fine. i wish i had the knowledge or understanding to make this work, unfortunatly i dont LOL!!
someone on this forum must know how to fix this, surely!
OK, I'm making progress. I created a new youtube account, which I can now log in to properly from the phone. My original youtube account still isn't working, though. From feedback I have had elsewhere, I'm wondering whether this has anything to do with the fact that this is linked to my google account. For those still having this issue, I would suggest trying to create a new account on the youtube website and trying to log in to that. Also, I noticed that I have to log in using my user name only, not with the email address, as this doesn't work. Hope this helps someone.
same problem
mine was working fine until today when I goldcarded it to the official htc 1.48.405.2 rom. now it doesn't work.
anyone figured this issue out yet?
Hello folks-
I flashed the new update and things have been nice and steady. The only problem I've had is I cannot access the My account or Tmobile applications. I have shortcuts to them and when I click on them I go to a page with an anime guy holding a phone and a message in the center of the screen says "The My Account application will be downloaded shortly". The only button I can hit then is an exit button. I leave the phone active for minutes and have wifi on, as well as data connection. Nothing else happens. It seems like this is odd behavior and wondering if anyone would mind making a .cab.
Thanks for any responses!
EDIT!! I used Doc's MMs fix-which I believe tells Tmobile that my phone is not a HD2 (used for tiny mms messages problem) and I then tried the original My account and tmobile help applications and both work perfectly. How about that?
Anyone willing/able to try this?
I've had the upgrade for almost a week now and I still cannot access the problem. It says it will be downloaded shortly, and never is. I called 611 and customer service has no clue. As a side question, I believe I installed the upgrade fine, but perhaps I somehow messed it up? I made a connection to activesync, removed sd card, did update, but once it was all done and was rebooting, i disconnected the usb cord to the computer. Could this have possibly screwed up the My account application? Everything else works fine.
There's been other reports of the same issue, people on the new ROM having trouble getting the myaccount app to do it's update so you can use it. I haven't seen any solutions yet, but it's in a thread in this section somewhere.
I don't believe you screwed up your new ROM at all...if it's fuctioning in every other way than this, there's no other issue than the unexplained one that you and others are experiencing.

Thanks, I've figured as much. I've also seen a handful of people having the same problem (on other forums as well) but often this resolves itself on its own. Keeping my fingers crossed-it's more annoying than anything else.
Im good!
Myaccount works fine on mine, and it never downloaded anything. I just open the app and it works just fine, maybe the app is whats wrong not the whole update. i dont know how to make a .cab or i would do it for ya. any suggestions on how to do it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653563
In here. Worked fine for me after instaling the CAB (look down the list a bit).

You used the one from 2.10 on the new 2.13 ROM? I just wasn't sure there wouldn't be any issues there
Went to the store today and changed out Sim cards just to try it. Same problem. The rep at the store said that a lot of people were having trouble with the application-even people with blackberries who just got the application for their platform. Who knows? I may try the cab just to give it a whirl. If I try it and subsequently uninstall it, I imagine it'll revert to my .13 application which is hard cooked into the rom right?
*update*
I tried the .10 cab and it worked fine. The icon was slightly different, but otherwise worked fine. Tmobile help (purple question mark icon) still wouldn't work, but the my account does. Thanks

I never tried to use that app before, so I went ahead and gave it a try. I got an error right away. I just did a soft reset and then it worked. YMMV.
Still require TMOUS 2.13.531.1 "My Account" CAB
I've just installed the T-mobile "My Account" Application from the previous thread (Leo_MyAccount.cab - MyAccount 2_9_2_5_87341_0 according to the CAB xml) on FroyoStone sense V2, and I get the guy holding the phone and the message "The My Account application will be downloaded shortly" message for both Help and My Account apps. It worked fine on the stock TMOUS ROM 2.13.531.1.
I assume this CAB is a backrevved version? What is the fix for this, or does someone have the real CAB from the 2.13.531.1 ROM?
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I've searched the Q&A section and didn't see it anywhere... I have been unable to download any attachments from my email.
Let me specify: I click on the download arrow next to the attachment in the email app, a clock with spinning hands appears, then disappears, and I get an error that says "Network error." I would understand that except that it happens when I have perfect signal or on WiFi, and there has never been a successful attachment download.
I previously used a MT3G (which I pre-ordered and received two days before they were available in stores), rooted it, flashed custom ROMs, unrooted it, wiped it, re-rooted it, restored nandroid backups... and viewed email attachments! I love my new phone, but could someone help me with this? I've searched, and I've looked through the settings in the app itself, but nothing has remedied this problem.
Thanks in advance, this community has helped me learn so much over the past several months.
Update: I am running Gr8gorilla's DHD ROM, and the email attachments download perfectly... now I'm even more confused! Why doesn't it work on stock?!
Anyone?
Bueller....bueller... (<bump>)
I can't offer you any answers unfortunately, but I can certainly relate. I had G1 (same thing, pre-ordered, got it on the first day) and I could never download any attachments. Multiple roms, clearing defaults, full wipes, clearing gmail/gtalk/html viewer data and it still never worked. To this day, I still don't know why it did not work. MT4G on the other hand works perfectly with both stock and CM roms.
Good luck.
My Blockbuster app loads well, shows the movies I've rented, but returns the error code 0xc00d2713 in a white box when I try to download any of the rented movies. I have...
*Deactivated my TMOUS HD2, soft reset and reactivated it.
*Uninstalled the Blockbuster app, soft reset and reinstalled it.
*Reset my modem and router (just incase).
Can anyone figure this out? The only help T-Mobile had was trade for like new or new phone. I've taken loving care of my HD2 and I don't want someone else's problems.
Has anyone any idea what could cause this or am I once again doomed to the hard reset?
After looking, that error seems to be related to DRM.

I googled and found the same, however, I have no idea how to fix it. Do you?
I don't use the Blockbuster app at all (I don't think we have the same access in the UK), but are you supposed to be able to download a movie that you've rented?
Feel free to shoot me down and flame me if you are supposed to be able to

Sorry, don't play with fire . But, yes, once you rent the movie you are suppose to be able to download it and play it. Have any ideas how to fix it? The app works if I do a hard reset; however, once I restore with Sprite backup, it will not download. The tmobile My Account "will be downloading soon" forever, too; although, I've fixed that problem.

Bizarre.
If it works after a hard reset, but stops after a restore with Sprite Backup, then it sounds like another app is conflicting with it. I was all for going with the DRM theory before, as mentioned by rr5678, but I'm not so convinced now.
I don't know how you could figure out what's causing the problem other than to re-install the apps manually, 1-by-1, and check after each install if you can still download. Obviously once you can't then you've found the problem.
That's not really a helpful suggestion though, if you've got a shed-load of apps to go through.
It's a bit of a clutch at straws, but I think having a thread here is the best thing, and to hope that someone with the same experience and a solution turns up.
Sorry to be so vague, but that's all I've got!
Hope you get it sorted.
Thanks, I've got over 60 apps (down from 100)! Soooo please don't make me reinstall them! I set aside days for ROM upgrades. Strangely, this thread shows how I solved the Tmobile My Account problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880250 and the problems seem to be related.

That is a bit of a strange and convoluted fix! Such is the joy of xda devices, eh!
Hope you get this one sorted too.
Edit: Just out of curiosity, have you flashed a custom ROM since you got your phone, or is it still an official TMO one?
Okay. I too Googled, and all I could find were references to Windows running on PCs. With that in mind, I REALLY don't know if this is relevant, but I do know enough about the WinMo OS to suspect it may help. If you're happy with registry editing, have a look at post No.2 on this page...

I'm not convinced that you'll find that key in the registry for WM, but maybe you will. It's worth a look.

No, not yet. Though, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to resist. I keep telling myself, "warranty, warranty, warranty..."

I have no problem editing the registry (you were right that key doesn't exist in WM), as long as I'm told exactly what to do in exact detail.

I was 50/50 as to whether it would exist or not. Windows CE is VERY similar to the PC based Windows OS, so it was worth checking. As I know you've seen, there's nothing coming back from Google with regards to this error on WM.
I'm definitely done here now. As I said before, I hope you do get a solution though.
Good luck
