Hi All,
I am in the process of try to enable the O2 disabled G Sensor in my XDA Flint (x7510 Athena)
I have fiddled with some registry settings and managed to get partial use of the sensor now (Scrolling by tilting device in IE only) Not yet got GSen working or and calibration software!
Can anyone assist me by providing the HTC factory default files for the sensor and the registry values?
Many thanks
Alex

Hello developers,
I try to change the backlight by modifying the registry (HKCU\ControlPanel\BackLight) and afterwards sending the event "BackLightChangeEvent".
However nothing happens on my Diamond - I know this is hardware dependend but is there a (general) way to change the backlight level?
I know it has to work because I tested some application who are able to control the backlight level and they work on this device...
or am I doing something wrong?
Code:
he = CreateEvent (0,0,0,L"BackLightChangeEvent");
if (he) {SetEvent (he); CloseHandle(he); }
Thanks in advance!
ageye
I'm sorry I can't help, however would you be as kind as to name the applications you tested that successfully modified the backlight? (E.g.
spb pocket plus is unable to control backlight on the diamond).
Thank you.

When i bought my TD2 a few days ago the gravity sensor was not working at all.
In the G-Sensor settings i can check / uncheck a few options but there is only an Exit soft-key. After exit the settings everything keeps like it was before.
I tried several cabs witch i found in this forum (G-Config, GSensorCalibrator, gsen ...) but nothing worked.
By chance i discovered some settings in the registry and played around with them:
HKLM\System\GDI\ROTATION
With the following entries now it works sometimes but sometimes not:
Angle = 90
FULLSCREEN = 0
LandscapeFixed = 0
LandsscapeMode = 4
PCDLO = 2
Has anybody an idea of the meanings of this keys?
Or maybe a better idea how to get the sensor to work?
Operating System is WM6.1
what is not working is it the applications or?
when you go to g-sensor calibrate does it indicate movement of the devive,
if yes your sensor is working fine.
you can use g-config to define which apps will rotate
ROM upgrade(WM6.5) for HTC Touch Diamond2
Try to upgrade you TD2 for free to WM 6.5 from the HTC Downloadsection
If you by any coincidence can't download it with your own serial try one of these serials.
Hey guys !
I really hope there is a simple answer to this strange phenomenon!
Just bought an HTC HD2 ROM 1.48.707 (WWE) unlocked & it simply does not rotate clockwise in the rotate-enabled applications no matter what I ve tried.
HOWEVER it does rotate counter-clockwise.
If someone knows anything about it or of an app that checks the g-sensor or be able to adjust its sensitivity, please help me out here!
NOTE: When I calibrate the G-sensor everything seems to work fine & testing by playing the teeter game is OK.
Thanks for answering
From what I can tell, the HD2 doesnt rotate clockwise natively. I'm sure theres a registry tweak or an installable hack for it, but as a right-handed fellow rotating counter-clockwise is all I need so I haven't looked into it.
edit: found some info in another topic:
"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305"
or
"you could try using gyrator"
I have no idea how these 2 solutions are - again I haven't tested them
Did try with BSB Tweaks & it did what it was supposed to do, that is enable/disable rotation for any application. HOWEVER, clockwise rotation is still a NO-GO & the program does not include a sensitivity tweak....
I will try gyrator...
You should try Gyrator 2. It works .
ChangeScreen v2.78 & Gyrator 2 seem to solve the problem. This should help left-handed people too.. Thanx
Has anyone figured out how to get this working without Gyrator / ChangeScreen?
I can say with complete certainty that rotating to both left and right used to work with my Rhodium.
Same ROM (NRG) and same G-Config List.
I'm also interested in this solution as my car holder presses accidentally the volume key. counter-clockwise this problem would be minimized or removed comletely!

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Me too!
stranger still, I used to be able to rotate in both directions without Gerator or anything. Just now suddenly it fails clockwise...
Hi all,
I am using for the moment G10 Rom, wich is very good for me (at least for now, )... anyway, I used to use the Xanny's ROM's wich has rotation enabled and after installing Max Manilla and enabling rotation from MaxManilla's settings screen, rotation actually worked in almost all menus and applications (I actualy needed to erase a reg key to stop in call screen from rotating because it had a small bug)... Anyway, Now i use G10 Rom and max manilla ofcourse, but I can not rotate my screen using the G sensor, can anyone tell me what do i need to do to make it work ?
Thank you very much and please excuse my poor English language...
Well.... anyone ?
Have you tried Changescreen, gyrator, Flipit etc......try searching for these in apps/software forum
Does anyone know of the registry hack or settings that would make HD2 be able to turn around the screen 4-ways (something like iPad)?
There's an application call ChangeScreen. Check that out.
gyrator2 allows this also
I got this 4 way gsensor rotation from artemis cooked rom with no app installed
I will try both... ChangeScreen seems more inviting as it does not show in running programs list...
Thanks everyone!!!
