Hey guys, I love the feature to long press volume button that is built into AKOP to change tracks however, it does not work with one of the apps I am using called qloud, Qloud basically does the same thing as Google Music (stream music from pc->phone). It has a built in music player and every time I try to use the feature android opens up Google Music and starts playing a song. I think the built in music player is not being recognized as a music player. If I cannot get it to work with that feature I was wondering if there are any apps that could to do the same thing?
Thanks!
It apparently won't work with Google Music or for instance Player Pro (my favorite) either... Should it be working at all?
First of all I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read/respond to my post. I have an unrooted Note 3.
My issue is when I use my jaybird bluebuds x or monster isport freedom bluetooth headsets with my Note 3 the next track buttons do not work. Well.. let me rephrase that. When I hit the next track button is launches the samsung music app and skips that track.
So the button is being registered but it's not working for the active player. Like if I'm listening to pandora and hit next track then the samsung music app launches and skips that track instead.
Is there any way to force (using tasker or something without rooting) the phone/headset to recognize the current active music player instead of the default samsung player?
Thanks in advance for your help!!
It's more likely the app doesn't recognize headset controls.
I've never had stock music player pop up when using the controls with N7player. But it has a menu for headset controls...

Disable the Samsung player in Settings and try? I usually always keep the default apps all disabled and use PowerAMP for my music, never fails me when I use my BlueBuds X.

How do I disable the samsung player in settings? Are you referring to settings for bluebuds bluetooth, cuz I didn't know you could specify specific aps.
I prefer to stream my music so I don't have to organize my music. That's why I use pandora/slacker and not PowerAMP. Thanks though.

Your phone settings. Manage Apps, All, find your music player, click on it, Disable.

Hello everyone. I have decided to purchase the Moto 360. I am mostly going to be using it in the gym as a music player and as a stopwatch simultaneously. My question is: will this work?
Basically, I want to add my music to my Moto 360, connect a pair of bluetooth headphones to it, play music, and while the music is playing in the background I plan on using the stopwatch. Is this possible, or do I have to have the music app open in order for the music to play? Thanks!
Hi, i'm looking for a music player that play music from the SmartWatch via Bluetooth without pairing the Phone. I need a equalizer too to adjust the Bluetooth audio sound. Is there anithing similar?

Maybe my app could help you
Offline music player for the watch including copy manager between phone and watch. Currently without equalizer, but could be a nice feature
Search in play store for "Wear Media", it's free
The Sony Walkman app works too, no equalizer though.
If I ask my phone to play some music, say "OK Moto X play some Marillion" it does a Google search then plays a random MP3 file in my Music folder using Google Play Music.
OK, very smart, but I have and prefer Shuttle music player.
So how do I get Shuttle to be the default MP3 player in this situation?
In a file explorer I have set Shuttle as the default app for MP3 files but when using Moto Voice it still starts up Google Play Music.

I believe google play music is the only player that Google search will use. I use to use poweramp and never had luck with that.

Solved it.
When Google search comes up and starts playing the music, showing the Google Play Music icon top right, there is a hamburger you can select and then choose the music app of choice.
Simple when you know how but not very intuitive. Would have been nice to have been asked the first time.
Spoke too soon. The above isn't a permanent change as far as I can see. Next time I tried asking for music it reverted to Google Play Music again.
