Required : World Date and time software that has these specs

Hi I am after World date and time software that covers
- WM5 - Latest spec - see my details in signature
- To answer question the time in London is this, Whats the time in New York now ?
- Adjusted for day light saving
- NOT OVER pumped with tools and junk that never used, a lite package of time and date covering 4 to 6 cities around the world.
- Dont need forex, traveller stuff, or airport stuff...just time and date and difference there of.
Important : To be able to put city times on the TODAY screen, small format so as not to take up to much space.
Please advise ?
No today screen plugin, as far as I know, but apart from that, I think this (CityTime) is brilliant. Used it, and the alarms program by the same publisher.
http://www.codecity.net/prodctppc.htm
I eventually found a free tool at www.sbsh.net , the today clock plug in was good enough for now.
Fizz Traveller 2.3 brilliant
SpbTime could do all that but you might consider it a bit too full of features.

Real Time Process Monitor?

hi,
is there a process monitor that shows all running processes and their cpu utilization?

WM5 - job scheduler

Hello Gurus,
yesterday i was looking for some freeware program for
sheduling jobs in my Windows mobile 5 (HTC Wizard), because i would like to run some sync applications periodically.
But i am a bit disappointed because i haven't found anything usefull.
Could you give me some hints, please?
Thank you.
Dan
This is a good question - i've hunted high & low for something similar.
All I want to do is turn on WiFi at a scheduled time and turn it off again at a scheduled time and to repeat this on a daily basis.
There appears to be no freeware to do this.
SKScheMa (see http://s-k-tools.com/index.html?skschema/m_skschema.html) does appear to do whats required but its not freeware.
This best I can manage is to use dotfred's Task Manager to schedule an event which launches an application. I think I could use VJVolubilis to run a command line to turn WiFi on/off.
The trouble with this solution is that once the event has happened its gone. I cant get it to create an event which runs daily.

What about RunEveryday ? Maybe it's working....and it's free

BackGround4Alltabs : While this is cool, it does give all the tabs a background of your choice, on the Touch HD it also has a bug where it messes up your manila screens, so your programs list, your stocks, music player all that will have a 160px transparent strip at the top, which beceoms very very annoying
Prophecy Glass Clock : Very nice glass clock

Useful, thanks.
Quick q: which do you feel benefit in speed terms from being in internal memory?
Did lumos cause you any problems? I read that it interferes with some applications, specifically Opera. Thanks

This may not be the most scientific approach, but my decision factors on what to install to main memory are :
1) If the install size is below 50K, and is a phone related install and not an app... it goes to main memory
2) If its something I need in case my SD card crashes or gets lost... it goes to main memory (e.g total commander, registry editor)
3) If its something that my phone really needs in main memory as suggested by either the application or forums and research, it goes to main memory (.net 3.5)

A bit of a pain in the neck, but might be really useful if you had links to the sites to get the apps.
Okay, I'll bite. Here's my equivalent list (without repeating what's already posted):
SoftMaker Office 2008:
Replacement for Pocket Word/Excel. Pocket Word is okay for minor uses, but if you use spreadsheets as much as I do, Pocket Excel is comically inadequate (especially after the backward steps it has taken from WM5 to WM6).
PhatNotes:
I use textual notes/lists a lot, too, and the built in software in WM does not cut it for me.
SprintDB Pro:
Relational database. I find this to be the best way to maintain my movie lists.
BackCountry Navigator:
A GPS mapping/tracking software based on map downloads on the fly. It gives me peace of mind against getting lost when I'm hiking or mountain biking in the middle of nowhere (at least in those cases where I might have a network signal).
Pocket TOPO:
The pocket version of the National Geographic TOPO! topographic map software. Does route planning and GPS tracking as well. (Unlike BackCountry Navigator, only works with limited maps exported from its own desktop PC version.)
Pocket Stars:
Good sky guide. I can't say I'm even close to using it regularly. But it's still there for the rare occasion when I might need it.
TapBirds:
Bird identification field guide. Do you see a general "outdoors" theme here?
Pocket Player:
I use it mainly for audio books. It has a good resume feature and very good bookmarking capabilities.
AIDEM File Explorer:
Just a free File Explorer replacement that I find capable enough for my own needs, for those occasional cases where the original File Explorer is a bit too restrictive.
TomeRaider:
Book reader. It allows me to carry around with me a whole bookcase of books and reference sources, including an almost complete IMDB movie database and two (count 'em, two) offline full-text copies of Wikipedia. (One is slightly smaller and older than the other but includes images...)
Viigo:
Very decent RSS reader, though it's been diversifying into a ton of other useful features lately.
Calc98:
Much more capable free replacement for the built-in WM calculator. Good for some scientific calculation, base conversions, and unit conversions, too.
DirMap:
Utility for displaying directory subtree sizes. Also features graphic display of space usage. Very handy when trying to figure out what's taking up storage space.
FTP Client:
Very useful when I need to access some file that I don't have with me but is available on the FTP-accessible server I run at home.
Opera Mini:
Always a good idea to have additional browsers handy, for cases when one goes haywire or has specific incompatibilities with a particular website that another browser might handle just fine.
Pocket Gforce:
Poor man's vehicle dynamics analysis tool (G force measurement, acceleration/deceleration, 0-60 mph, etc.) I haven't gotten to play with it yet, but it might be a fun distraction during my next autocross event.
Resco Photo Viewer:
I had bought this for an earlier WM PDA, but it's still got more features than any photo viewing/slideshow software that comes with the Touch HD, so I still use it.
Pocket Streets:
My 2001 version still works with the Touch HD. It's still the most handy (virtually) free offline map software, if you ask me.
PocketLock:
File and directory encryption software. Quite strong encryption. I love how intuitive its integration is. (Double-clicking a file, first launches PocketLock to decrypt, than the host app to open the file. Closing the file automatically triggers PocketLock to ask you whether you want to encrypt it again.) I've been using this on every version of Windows Mobile since "Pocket PC 2002"!
Storage Tools:
I use this to fix storage card file system corruptions, and the occasional storage card defragmentation.
WMStopWatch:
At one point, this was the only free stopwatch program I could find for WM that would not stop when I turned off the device--a crucial requirement when you want to time anything longer than a few minutes.
vxIPConfig and vxUtil:
Some nice old-fashioned free networking utilities that I like keeping under my hand (trace route, port scanner, DNS lookup, ping, finger, whois, etc.).

Hi,
I am wondering about the battery drain after installing all these, can you please enlighten me..... and links to those applications will be appreciated
phone alarm itself is a magical program for preserving battery life. I use it to turn off connections, bluetooth etc etc at various times of the day (don't need anything at night when I'm in bed but I still use the alarm so putting it into flight mode can save hours of battery life for example). I can get my battery to last 3 days or more using this piece of software.

[ROM]WM6.1 fxdjROM3.0 Build 21057 Free RAM 145MB Battery driver

Hi.
Here http://www.sendspace.com/file/khg1q7
my WM 6.1 rom. It is based on well known Mangasora clean WM 6.1 rom.
I tried to do it functional was as my fxdjROM2.0.
Because disabling start menu in 6.1 gives nothing ( I mean more RAM ), original start menu is active and my fixed HTC enlarge start menu has been added as a .cab
Features:
1) On startup about 296MB free ROM and 145MB free RAM
2) Base user shell is SPB shell 3.5.5 added as .cab
3) Other installed .cabs
a) Palringo communicator ( includes facebook chat )
b) CorePlayer
c) Total Commander
d) Shutter sound disabling cab
e) fxdj_HTC_Enlarge_Start_Menu cab
4) Embeded software
a) Microsoft and Toshiba keyboards.
Additionally , I added transcriber - absent in my WM6.5
b) ArcSoft software:
- MMS composer ( integrates with menu for SMS/MMS composing ) - very nice in my oppinion
- Streaming player
- Photo base
c) FDC task manager - powerfull system software
d) my own software for some power managment available as "Power" folder in Programs ( soft reset, standby, backligh off )
e) BT operations notification icon in upper bar - well known solution from other roms. I do not know whose software it is
nethertheless thanks the author for it.
f) Microsoft Office 2010
g) Java
h) Facebook application
i) Screen Capture
k) SRS WOW HD . End with with this awfull, well known strange 3 cab installation.
I did not notice any problem with stable work.
This software ( its usage ) has been improved by me. If anybody does not like this software or find it not stable ( after installing any additional software ) then one can disable it. It is not deinstallation ! One can switch between original audio drivers and SRS drivers. I created special directory ( SRSHD Manager ) for managing it and that is why I moved SRS control panel from "settings->system" to this directory.
You will find there 3 icons ( as on attached picture ):
- Control Panel ( well known )
- Disable ( disables SRS, enables original audio ) - one restart required after it
- Enable ( disables original audio, enables SRS ) - one restart required after it
Improvments:
My incerdible battery driver which allows all battery level sensitive software run without any problems until real 0% battery level without any interruption from the system. Never more 20% warning messages, software execution protection and battery discharge to real "0" - about 2.9V
I removed annoying lock screen during calls/talks . Now You can
navigate through the system during call and even utilize my software
to switch backlight off what is sensible because backlight eats energy.
This software You will find in my "Power" directory. One tap to screen and
You have backlight on again. It works like toggle.
I fixed settings icons. As You maybe know, when SPB Shell 3.5.5 is installed under WM6.1, in its menu settings there is no icons for "Personal", "System" and "Connections".
There are only descriptions alone. I fixed it and now there are the same icons like in WM 6.5
All You can see in attached screenshots.
For GPS users. I checked GPS. Works fine. Checked with Ozi, Garmin Mobile XT and Google Maps. GPS port set as managed.
I always change GD9 in my roms to COM4 and any GPS software I use, works fine.
As usual ROM created via osBuilder and feropont kitchen so thank Him for it.
After flashing hard reset is required ( via buttons combination or via "Master Clear" software in system settings ).
Please read following carefully and do not panic :
After flashing via sdll+ You should normaly see that:
a) TG01 will restart
b) Toshiba logo will appeare
c) WM 6.1 green splash screen will appeare
d) It is probable ( does not have to occur - I had only one time ) that TG01 screen will become black in any step of calibration or after cabs installation. It is not hang up ! Do not panic ! Simply backlight is off. If it occurs, wait several seconds and then press on/off button as long as TG01 will restart. ( it may require to press this button several seconds ).
It will surely restart ! After restart complete configuration of Your system.
Because WM6.1 has annoying ActiveSync ( very often active and eats battery a lot ) I recommend to configure it as a fake server.
Look here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1078848&postcount=2
how to do it.
If anybody knows better solution, I would be grateful for any info.
Enjoy

Hi Pere.
I am busy recently and having a liitle bit of time I "fight" a little bit with AS to create mechanism to execute it only when I want so that any software like Garmin XT do not start it without my knowledge. As You know AS is serious battery eater. I am not pleased with found solutions.
Anyway I did small trial to see how UPX worked on PC but after new ( compressed ) .exe creation, my antivirus software still removes new .exe saying : "Win32/Kryptik.KGY" trojan horse found"

More than that is possible, if they changed the chemistry of the cells to lithium polymer, it could be molded to the shape of the battery cover itself to some degree, obviously it still needs to be able to be fitted to the phone, but most of the space could be used up.

I like the idea, i am more against the price of all the Mugen batteries, i bought a used standard TG01 battery for about £4 and use it as my main battery, keeping my original as a spare.

No, Mugen prices are not big. They are idiotic !
With today's li-pol techology development, Their prices should be
only part of what They offer. That is why I utlized my own soultion
with cheap li-pol 2600mAh battery combined with original 1000mAh battery.
